Did you know that God can fill someone with the Holy Ghost to persuade them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins?
To be water baptized in taking the first seps in being His disciples yes, but for the remission of sins, no. How can they receive the Holy Ghost then if they are not clean by that remission of sins which is by the baptism of the Holy Ghost?
Is this below the prophesy of the New Covenant of what God will do?
Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Is this not confirming that God does the saving whenever any one believes in Him below?
Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
If water baptism was necessary, then it would be by a work of righteousness which we have done, but it is not.
Do you understand that the Spirit was prophesied to change one's heart towards God.
Did you know that only the Holy Ghost can allow you to be baptized via Acts 2:38?
We shall be led by the holy Spirit to be disciples of Jesus Christ and the first step is water baptism in His name, but it is not for salvation.
Did you know that most Christians are blinded by the Holy Ghost from Acts 2:38 because of the hardness of their heart?
I do not believe the holy Spirit does the blinding but believers not willing to believe they are wrong about water baptism being essential for salvation can be a blindness in and of itself. Jesus cannot be called the Saviour if water baptism apart from Him, saves too.
