Time to put down our swords , form a circle , grab each other’s hands and sing” Kumbaya” .....the only thing worse than my Doctrines is my singing.....
We do walk a narrow road remember, and it is this sets us apart from our neighbours who sin wilfully, habitually, and knowingly. God knows a pure and righteous heart and does indeed "forgive us our sins" as he did the repentant King David.
.

I’ve been curious about David.....he never “ Repented” until Nathan called him out....he seemed to be getting along just fine until he “ got caught”.....plenty of criminals are “ sorry” when they get caught and see punishment coming there way.....He was plenty remorseful when God killed his child.....did he ever feel any sorrow for the heroic man he murdered .....there is no record of it ....just sayin.....

IOW:

"If I died when I didn’t believe I would have gone to Heaven because there was One Time That I DID Believe.....that’s all it takes...."
May I ask a question, since you bring up here an interesting case, yourself being the person in consideration.

May I ask, what would have made you get you from believing to unbelieving?

Also, when you believed in the past, do you consider your getting to believe God and Jesus Christ was of your working or God’s?

I would understand if you don’t know the answers to those questions and so would not be able to answer them.

If you don't have Christian works you're not a Christian! James said so 3 times.

James 2:17 (NKJV)
17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is DEAD.
With that reasoning, perhaps then, one is not a Jew if he don’t have Jewish works?

Conversely then, would not such reasoning make a non Christian who have Christian works, to be a Christian?

By the way, what are Christian works that you say there?

Why do you think Paul warned church members against the false teachers in their midst? Like you, they were convinced they were right. Sad to say, although they claimed to be Christians, their end would be worse than their beginning.
.
My answer to your question would be a lengthy one as there many factors involved. But let me try to tell you some of that instead, just to give you a glimpse of it.

The warning was not meant for an specific individual but is for the church in general. In those days, and even today, not all who are called Christians or claim to be Christians and so are considered belonging to the church, are all necessarily legitimate children of God or are truly converted like Paul. If we know that, I see no reason why Paul would not know that. Besides, that fact is right up to his face. For he sees some, of not many, of them who are unstable with regards what they claim to have believed. Then we have the time context wherein, in those times, the gospel is yet to be better understood as preaching about it and knowledge about it is yet in its infancy so to speak.

Those, in my view, may be some of the reasons why not only that Paul gives warnings, but also reminders, and exhortations, but also still preach and continues to preach and explain the gospel more fully or deeply to the church, and not only preach to the world. I also see that as an effort of Paul to somehow make certain, that what those in the church have believed concerning Jesus Christ or the gospel, is the true, correct, spiritual knowledge and understanding that comes from the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

All people are 'children' of God (Acts 17:29), and yet the bulk of them will go into the furnace. So much for your emotional argument.

As "in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive?" WOW, you sure don't stop misinterpreting Scripture, do you?

If all people are children of God, no one then will be in hell!!! I like that even better than your "osas license to sin" doctrine.

That is not possible, a good tree does not produce bad fruit

Agree, yet some here say we can produce bad fruit such as living in adultery, and still go to heaven in the end.

But that brings up other considerations, because we are not the judge of what is sin, God is.

What do you mean "we are not the judge of what sin is". I say fornication among other things is sin...why am i not to do that?

“Where Sin abounds....Grace SUPER abounds.” I know that. I live that. It makes me want to Sin less.....you have to live it to understand it.....you don’t.

Yep, you live in your super grace where you can do as you like and still get to heaven...I choose grace to save me and obediance to let God know I mean business.

Nope

the passage does not say if we let him, it says he will

your adding to the word things paul did not say,

paul did not say I am confident of this very thing, that he will continue if we let him.

When will you repent and trust God and stop trusting yourself

You are getting way over the line judgmental.

More false accusations. Those were my words, I added nothing whatsoever to scripture. I realize that being untruthful, and twisting someone's words is the only way you can make headway here, but please stop twisting mine.

Are Christians guilty of lying? How often do you think they lie? Everyday, every other day, after three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,………..30, 31, 32, 33,……..60,…..days? When do you say one is an ongoing liar?

Simple, when they lie and no longer care that they lie and they stop repenting/asking forgiveness for those lies. Yiu can make fun of it if you like, but tbe day will come when it will be serious business for those who minimize it now.

That is another popular OSAS lie, since we sin a lot, we might as well sin, and not worry about it. Wrong, we should always be aware of our sin, and never think of sin as something we should not concern ourselves with.

May I ask, what would have made you get you from believing to unbelieving?

I really don’ t know ....most likely , the bad teaching that got so much wrong...I never knew what True Christianity was....it was kinda like , learn to “Act” like Jesus and if you do a good enough job , you get to go to Heaven....I never liked “ Acting”......I still don’t......
