Why has the thread 'Why was "I am God" thread locked?' also been locked before I had a chance to reply? In that thread Rita posted:

the trinity can be discussed, and threads will be monitored. The statement of faith adds that it is now a close handed subject and cannot be debated against.

The moderators have been posting confusing messages, but it now seems that they kindly permit us to discuss the Trinity but only as long as you don't point out that it is not Biblical and not supported by the Word of God. It is such a fundamental topic, and a topic that is very popular - after it was announced that it could be discussed again the floodgates opened and it immediately became the most popular subject of discussion on this forum. For a Christian forum to ban Christians from discussing any Christian belief, such censorship seems absurd to me, and not what I would expect Christians to do. What are they afraid of? The truth?

Christians should be like the Bereans - Acts 17:11 (UASV+):

(11) Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

It is wrong to ban Christians from discussing Christian doctrine and the meaning of verses of the Bible! Will they ban us from even thinking about Christian doctrine next? Saul used to disagree with Christians, and he persecuted them. What did Jesus say to him? Acts 9:4 (WEB):

(4) He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

According to dictionaries close-handed means "stingy, miserly, or unwilling to spend money or give generously. It can also be used to describe someone who is secretive or keeps their emotions hidden." I'm none the wiser as to why the Trinity cannot be discussed!

I thought that where you discuss it is the issue.

Yep, you can only argue against the Trinity in the non Christian forums, exactly where it belongs.
Well we can't do that. When I go to any of the Non-Christian forums it says "You have insufficient privileges to post threads here".

Moreover, I disagree. Christians should be able to study and discuss Christain beliefs in a Bible Study forum. It's exactly where it belongs.

The endless disputes against the Trinity are fruitless, and detract from the purpose of this forum which upholds the doctrine of the Trinity.

Much love!

I was wondering the same thing since I didn't get a chance to refute your argument against Jesus being "I AM" . Your denial of the Trinity as well as the deity of Christ makes one wonder. I will be happy to debate both doctrines with you at anytime!

You could equally say that all topics that are repeatedly discussed are fruitless. What is the purpose of this forum? At the bottom of every page the 'About us' paragraph says:

"Our community has been around for many years and pride ourselves on offering unbiased, critical discussion among people of all different backgrounds. We are working every day to make sure our community is one of the best."

So it seems that the purpose of the forum(s) is to offer unbiased, critical discussion by Christians and non-Christians. Note the words that I underlined. Insisting that people don't argue (presenting crtical agruments based on Biblical verses) against the man-made Trinity doctrine is not being unbiased, and not offering unbiased, critical discussion.

As a witness to what was happening, anti-trinitarians were taking over thread after thread after thread, and would not reign it in, so it had to be reigned in for them. There wasn't a problem about discussing the Trinity, until it was made a problem, and it became a big problem.

Much love!

As far as i can tell, This forum's ownership and upper tier Moderation team recognizes the Trinity as true Theology.......so, in that case, there is going to be less flexabilty regarding "anti-Trinity" Threads that preach their Hate against the Doctrine of The Trinity, and against the people who recognize its Truth.

That is because understanding who Jesus is is fundamentally important (and so discussing it should not be banned). Building your doctrine and understanding on a false belief is like building a house on sandy foundations. It's important to get the foundation correct - the correct foundation is that Jesus is the Messiah and God's Son:

Matthew 16:15-18 (WEB):
(15) "What about you?" he asked them. "Who do you say I am?"
(16) Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
(17) Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
(18) I also tell you that you are Peter {Petros, meaning a rock or stone] , and on this rock {petra, meaning a rock, cliff or ledge, rocky ground - a foundation} I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.

1 John 5:9-12 (WEB):
(9) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is God’s testimony which he has testified concerning his Son.
(10) He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.
(11) The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
(12) He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.

In my experience it is people who believe in the Trinity that show their hatred of anyone who denies the Trinity, and not the other way around. I have known people to become very hateful and spiteful, and really nasty (i.e. most un-Christian, showing the opposite of love) to Christians that don't believe the Trinity doctrine. The apostle John wrote, 1 John 2:9-11 (WEB):

(9) He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.
(10) He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.
(11) But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Your "experience" does not reflect the typical behavior of the "Trinity Haters" who pollute this forum. @keithr
The vast majority of hateful, nasty, insulting comments that I've read in this forum have come from Trinity believers. They declare that you can't be a Christian unless you believe in the Trinity - in which case the Apostles and all the early Christians, the founding members of the Church, were not Christians!

Right, it’s time to move on - the policy is in place and that’s not going to change at the moment.
Endeavouring to argue about who is worse at being hateful is not fruitful at all
