Well you err because you do not realize that in Jewish reckoning any part of a day is considered the day so Jesus could die Friday afternoon, Rise early Sunday morning and it would be reckoned three days and nights

Once again you cannot have the 69 sevens and count them as years, and then count the 70th week as a 7 day week. It just wasn't and isn't done.

And Daniel said that Messiah would be cut off after 69 weeks (483 years) not in the midst of the week.

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

Then we get a new thought:

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

The mid week event is the antichrist causding the sacrifice and offerings in the rebuilt temple to cease.
Please answer these questions: (1) At what point did these scriptures stop talking about the Jews, Jerusalem, and Jesus?
(2) In what area or verse did the scriptures start talking about the beast, or the false prophet?
(3) What did Jesus do when he was anointed? Did he die the very same day? NO, Jesus did not die the very same day. He had to teach for three and a half years and then be cut off (killed) so that this very prophecy would be fulfilled.

Is The Word Easter In The Bible?

Now that we have firmly established the pagan history of Easter, we will look at it from the perspective of the bible. The scriptures will show that Easter is a tradition implemented by man. The word Easter appears in the bible one time and one time only. The following verse is the one that makes reference to Easter.
The ONLY thing you’ve "firmly" established is that you read too many Jack Chick comic books and other thongs that were influenced by the heavily-debunked work of historical schlock - – The Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop. He was a 19th century anti-Catholic who wrote this book as an attack on the Church.

One of his staunchest adherents, Ralph Woodrow was so obsessed with Hislop that he wrote his own book called "Babylon Mystery Religion". HOWEVER - when doing some actual research for a follow-up book, he discovered to his horror, that his hero Hislop simply MADE UP all of his nonsense.
Woodrow quickly pulled his book from print and published a work debunking Hislop called "The Babylon Connection?"

Woodrow now runs a website APOLOGIZING for his first book and trying to make sure that people know about Hislop's garbage.
Apparently - YOU didn't get the memo . . .

As for the word “Easter” – you are WAAAYYY off as well. Time for a History Lesson . . .

The word, "Ester" is ALL Christian. Sadly, YOU'VE been sucked in by the idiotic nonsense about "Ishtar" or "Oestra" or some other pagan goddess, which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Christian celebration of Easter..

FIRST of all – YOU need to understand that English is a relatively NEW language on the world stage. Some scholarly sources point out that Ostern/Easter is most likely derived from "erstehen", which is the old Teutonic form of "auferstehen/auferstehung" meaning "resurrection".

Don't forget - in all of the Latin and Middleeastern languages - the word sounds NOTHING like "Easter".

So, IF Easter is derived from Eostra/Ostara, that would only prove a pagan influence on Christians who spoke Germanic tongues.

And NOT all Christians reefer to the Feast of the Resurrection as "Easter". Byzantine Christians use the Greek term "Pascha", a transliteration of the Hebrew word "Pesach", or Passover. "Pascha" is also the name of this feast in Latin, the official language of the Roman Rite.

The Romance languages reflect this usage; the Italian word "Pasqua", the French "Paques". The Spanish "Pascua" each derive from "Pascha", and ultimately from "Pesach".

So, it's absurd to assume that "Easter" comes from "Ishtar" or "Eostra" or "Ostara" - or ANY other such nonsense.

According to one scholarly linguistic source -
"More recent studies seem to indicate that Easter may be derived from the Latin phrase "hebdomada alba", the old term for Easter week based upon the wearing of white robes by the newly baptized. The octave of Easter, the following week, was known as "post albas", the time when the white robes were put away....Easter may thus mean "white" and be named from early Christian baptismal practices."
{"Easter", The Dictionary of Bible and Religion, (Nashville, TN: Abingdon, 1986) 287}

Finally - the Easter Egg tradition comes NOT from pagan bunnies or fertility gods - but from the ancient traditions surrounding the Lenten Season. Meat was not the only thing that was abstained from in the Early Church during Lent. For the Catechumens awaiting Baptism and entry into the Church - Eggs and ALL Dairy products were also abstained from. This is where we get the tradition of the Shrove Tuesday dinner of pancakes. They would use up all of their eggs and dairy prior to Ash Wednesday and make pancakes.

On Easter - eggs were painted RED - the traditional color of the Holy Spirit and happily feasted upon by those who abstained.

If you don't believe me - the Greek Orthodox still cling to this practice. In the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding - there is a scene where they are having Easter dinner and the girl, Toula, picks up an RED egg along with her father and they crack them together. She says to him, "Cristos anesti (Christ is risen)", and he replies, "Alithos anesti (He us truly risen)."

If people just stopped and did some homework instead of inventing all of these fanciful fairy tales about the Church - we would probably ALL get along better . . .

The following verses will serve to show that Jesus died on the Passover. It states in Mark (15:42-45) that on the evening of the preparation day, which is the day before the Sabbath, Joseph a counseller asked for the body of Jesus. Once Pilate determined Jesus was dead, he gave him the body.

Mark (15:42) And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

(43) Joseph of Aarimathaea, an honourable counseller, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

The above scriptures are where the problem lied with the early church trying to interpret the events of the bible. One should take note, that what the majority of modern day Christians practice or follow come directly from the Roman Catholic Church. You had non spiritual people trying to decipher events that were spiritual. Since the scriptures stated, that the preparation day, was the day before the Sabbath, they automatically assumed this event took place on a Friday, because they knew the Lord's Sabbath was from Friday evening to Saturday evening. That is how they came up with the concept that Jesus died on Friday and He rose early Sunday morning. What they failed to take into account were the Lord's Holy Days or as they are also called High Sabbaths. There are seven yearly Sabbaths, and they, with the exception of Pentecost, can fall on any day of the week. At the beginning of this lesson, it was explained in Leviticus (23:4) that the Passover which is the 14th of the month, is the day before the feast of Unleavened Bread, which is a Holy Day or A High Sabbath. The Passover is sometimes referred as the preparation day because they used this day to prepare for the feast. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is the Sabbath which was being refereed to in Mark 15:42) when it was stated that Joseph craved the body of Jesus. Jesus had been crucified on the Passover and the next day was the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Jesus foretold when His death would occur. Also by Jesus being the Passover himself, Jesus had to come off the cross because, Sundown bring in the feast of unleavened Bread. Let’s take a look and see in John 19: 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

(Matthew 26:1) And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, (2) Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Now remember God's days start at evening and end the next evening. Keep that in mind as you view the next set of scriptures. Jesus had been betrayed by Judas the evening of the Passover. John 13 tells how Jesus and His disciples, that evening, were sharing the Passover meal. John (18:3) shows that same evening; Jesus was betrayed and taken away. It was still nighttime when they took Jesus, because the men that came and took and bound Him had lanterns and torches.

Jesus was crucified the next day but it was still the Passover. Remember God's days run from sundown to sundown. Jesus had been taken into custody the night of the Passover and the next morning which is the day of the Passover, He was condemned and crucified.
Your error is a less than adequate English tranlsation.

John 19:31
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

The Saturday that Day was a high Sabbath for it was the feast of unleavened bread itself and thus a high Saturday. You even emboldened the passage that shows it! According to the hours given in Scripture, Jesus was crucified @ 9AM and died @ 3PM befre that normal Sabbath wehich because it was a feast day made it a high Sabbath or high Saturday!

Jesus died Friday and Jews reckoning says any part of a day is a day. So Jesus was entombed Friday, rose early Sunday AM= 3 days in the mionds of the inspired writers of Scripture!

Jesus says in (Matthew 12:38) Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So the question is how did you get three days and three nights, saying that Jesus died Friday, and the word of God said," son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth," your math is off!

In the scriptures it's written in Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover.

Note what the book states. The Lord's Passover must be observed on the 14 day of the first month, which is the month of Abib. This month can be set by the new moon in the spring. In the 4th verse it states it must be observed in its season, any other time is wrong. Within the Roman Christian community, the bread and wine is taken every Sunday or every first Sunday. They also have changed the name of the Passover. They call it communion, sacrament or when someone's about to die they call it the last rites. When this is done it is done in vain. It must be taken when the Lord says it must be taken. Most people think the bread and the wine started when Jesus sat down with His apostles to eat the Passover. The King of Salem Melchizedek used the same tokens (bread and wine) when he met Abraham. The bread and the wine are very old. Some people call this the last supper. I find that very strange, because after the Lord's resurrection He ate with His apostles on the seaside. So that last supper statement is a myth

Jesus did not change the Passover, He changed the ordinance. Remember in Exodus the 12th chapter they took a Lamb every year, killed, and ate it. Being that Jesus represents the lamb, He wasn't going to die every Passover. He was sent to die one time for all that bring themselves under His blood. So, He used the bread and wine to replace the lamb. Notice what he says "Take, eat; this is my body." He gave us the bread and the wine to replace His body just as He replaced the lamb.

So Jesus says in Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Notice what the Lord says, “This is the blood of the New Testament or New covenant.” But notice something very important. He says shed for many, not for all. Why did He say many? Because, you must do the same thing they did in Egypt. If you fail to put the blood over your door post, the death angel will get you. You simply must be under the Lord's protection or under His blood. How do you get that protection? You must confess that Jesus is Lord, "repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38). You must walk in the new covenant, which are the same old Ten Commandments the Lord gave the people Himself on Mount Sinai. The Lord says, "If you love Him keep His commandments. So, if you love Him so much, you should have no problem walking in His Laws. Which includes the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week.

After the death of Jesus let’s take a look what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11: 23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Notice that ye do this until the Lord come, which is the second coming of Jesus, brothers and Sisters. Also this passover is done once a year, according to the scriptures.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

Now let's see who Jesus is to us. I Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

Paul says, "Purge out therefore the old leaven". In other words purge yourself of sin, and become a new lump, being unleaven. Meaning one that is not sinful, why? Christ is our Passover and he was sacrificed for us. Just like the lamb in Exodus was their sacrifice Christ is ours. Remember, it was the blood of the lamb that protected the children of Israel in Egypt, and for us it is the blood of Christ that will protect us. If you don't bring yourself under the blood, when death comes about, you will die for yourself even the second death, which is the LAKE OF FIRE.

The Passover represents the passing over of your sins, and the only way your sins will be passed over is if you bring yourself under the blood of the Lamb.

First once again: The John 19:31 passage brought into day identification:
".... Should not remain upon the cross on Saturday(for that Saturday was a high Saturday)).... That Saturday was given two descriptions:
1. It was the Sabbath, aka a normal Sabbath Saturday
2. It was a high Saturday for that Saturday began the feast of unleavened bread after the preparation day!

How did I get 3 days and nights? Easy! As I have told you three times already. Jews considered any part of a day as a whole day.
So Friday was day one. Saturday was day 2 and Sunday was day three. All three ways the scriptures say how long are correct according to the Jewish mindset (Remember it was jews who wrote this in their culture and idioms, not a 21st Century American mindset).

Three days and three nights, three days, on the third day. All mean and are equal to dying Friday and rising Sunday before sunup! It may seem increduluous to your mindset but was perfectly understood in the mindset of those who wrote this and read it in the first century.

Remember Mary did not come to the Grave site until the first day of the week which is Sunday, when it was yet dark. (John 20:1) "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher", And it was early in the morning and it was still dark. But Jesus had already risen.

Another example in Mark 16: 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Look how these two verses line up, Jesus been risen, Mary and Jesus mother got their first and Jesus was gone. Jesus didn't rise Sunday Morning!! Jesus was the Passover and died on the day of the Passover, which was on Wednesday evening in the middle of the week, according the prophets Daniel. (Not Friday) This is when you start your first count. Now the feast of unleavened bread is the next High Holy Sabbath day. Remember the next day starts at evening, sundown too sundown. So start your count at Wednesday evening and you will end it at Saturday daytime.

You totally misunderstand Daniel. for those 7's are years as I have told you several times. If the middle of the 7 is 7 days then the 69 previous weeks have to be 7 day weeks which places Jesus death in the 400+ BC timeframe according to your opinion.

Well you refusing to learn how Jews counted days makes you blinded to reality. The leaders wanted to kill the three so their bodies could be brought sown. Because the next day was not only a normal Saturday Sabbath, but a high Sabbath as well (the start of unleavened bread) as long as you choose to think like a gentile 20 centuries removed from the mindset of the writers and not learn how they viewed things, you will always be wrong.

Well.....everything I post are according to the scriptures and verses. I'm not sure where you are getting your information from, but I see no scriptures and verses to prove anything you saying. But the thing is, you're not seeing what I'm saying, I'm not seeing what you're saying, and I will say this would probably be best to end this discussion on this topic.

So then you believe the prophecy of Daniel 9 was 70 weeks of days or 490 days then from the ordering to rebuild Jerusalem by Artaxerxes.

YOu believe Jesus lived in the 400 B.C.s then for Daniel prophesied only 490 days according to you.

I agree, but it's more to it then that.

No. Jesus died around 30 A.D. at the age 33 1/2 so you do the math. Jesus may have been born around 4 B.C. Something like that. This part is not the focus of the point that Jesus didn't die on Good Friday and rise Easter Sunday Morning.

Well then please explain what is your "more than that".
Seems like you more interested in Daniel 9th Chapter then the topic. Why? I ask because if you don't believe that Jesus died in the mist of the week according to Daniel ninth chapter, how is it that you are going to believe me going into the seven weeks of day?
