Perhaps those speaking statues of mary around the world are the precursor of the IMAGE OF THE BEAST.....

Rev_13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev. 13:15 is not referring to a literal statue. It is referring to the Roman state. The vision John was given concerning the political beast of Rev. 13 ties in with the legs and feet of the Dan. 2 statue and the fourth beast in Dan. 7. In other words, John is prophesying about the last resurrection of enforced Romanism.

Only STUPID, IGNORANT people think that veneration stops at statues.

“Catholics worship statues!” People still make this ridiculous claim. Because Catholics have statues in their churches, goes the accusation, they are violating God’s commandment: “You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down to them or serve them” (Ex. 20:4–5).

It is right to warn people against the sin of idolatry when they are committing it. But calling Catholics idolaters because they have images of Christ and the saints is based on misunderstanding or ignorance of what the Bible says about the purpose and uses (both good and bad) of statues.

Anti-Catholic writer Loraine Boettner, in his book Roman Catholicism, makes the blanket statement, “God has forbidden the use of images in worship” (281). Yet if people were to “search the scriptures” (John 5:39), they would find the opposite is true. God forbade the worship of statues, but he did not forbid the religious use of statues. Instead, he actually commanded their use in religious contexts!
I want to directly address this part, because it is where the rest of your argument goes completely off the rails. Those images of "Christ and the saints" are nothing more than pagan statutes that were given Christian names.

Despite your insisting that the contrary is true, the Bible says absolutely nothing about God authorizing or commanding the creation of images to use as worship aids. The ark of the covenant was symbolic of God's presence in ancient Israel, and He commissioned it to serve as a physical copy of His throne(Heb. 8:5), not as an object of worship. The same is true for the images of the cherubim on the ark and on the temple walls.

God commissioned those things for ancient Israel to acknowledge and respect His authority because they were a carnal-minded group of people that were mostly incapable of obeying His commandments(Deut. 5:29).

There is an enormous difference between God commissioning something to be made and people trying to repurpose pagan images as Christian worship aids. Every time the Bible mentions the OT Israelites doing this, it is always done with the implication that they were committing idolatry.

Very true! Don't forget about the golden calf that they worshiped while Moses was receiving God's law on the mountain.

Jesus called Peter Satan!
Jesus addressed Satan because Peter dared to rebuke Jesus.
Jesus followed by explaining that Peter was was not understanding the mind of God but thinking like men. Jesus was calling Peter to a higher view

But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan!
Peter had just been given a role of authority and Satan immediately distorted the meaning of it.
You misunderstand what it meant for Jesus to name Satan as the source of Peter's rebuke.
Because Jesus gave Peter the keys Peter became Satan's prime target.
Later on Satan wanted to sift Peter.
Jesus reveals only to Peter what was about to happen, that he would recover and to comfort the other apostles. Because when Peter recovered Satan would sift the others.
Peter was being treated by Jesus and Satan as the leader of Christs Church.
Only Peter was told about this and only Peter was told about Jesus' prayer and that he would recover.
What you think of as invalidating Peter as lead Apostle is in fact a consequence of it.

Luke 22

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Oh so now you're a mind reader? Twist what Scripture clearly says into whatever your mind compels you to. Jesus called Peter "Satan". Period.

Again, Peter denied Christ three times at a very critical point. And Paul called out his clear hypocrisy in Galatians. Peter was a deeply flawed, cowardly man. That what the Bible says. I believe God's words, not your flawed interpretation.

Here is some Scripture for you to read and hopefully understand...

"You are the ones who have remained with me in my trials. Thus I grant to you (plural -- not Peter alone) a kingdom, just as my Father granted to me, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you (plural) will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

“Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” But Peter said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!” Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me.” Luke 22:28-34

Peter, after Jesus prayed for him, still denied Jesus three times. Nobody else did this, just Peter. He was the one who also grabbed a sword and attacked a man; Jesus rebuked him for doing so. And he was clearly a hypocrite in Galatia, so much so that Paul had to "call him out".

Again... Peter was a deeply flawed, cowardly man. I would never want a deeply-flawed, hypocritical man to lead any church I was in.

BTW, James, Jesus' brother was the leader of the early church.

What's your point??
NOWHERE does this verse state that water is NOT necessary for Baptism.
You are far too hung up on rite, ritual and ceremony.
Ummmmm - so is GOD, my Scripturally-bankrupt friend.

Tell me - WHY did Jsus need to use spit and dirt to rub into the Blind Man's eyes?
WHY did Jesus use WATER to make wine?
WHY did Jesus need fish and bread in order to make more fish and bread??
WHY does James command the uthat the sick be prayed over and anointed with OIL?

And don't even get me started on all of the RITUAL and symbolism in the Book of Recelation . . .

Thou at times scripture may appear to state you are saved through faith and baptism

No - Scripture doesn't "appear" to state that you need faith and Baptism - Jesus explicitly syayed this:
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes AND IS BAPTIZED will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

As for Paul - just because HE didn't Baptize a lot of people does NOT mean that the Presbyters and Bishops that he sppointed didn't do most of the Baptizing.
Paul was a TRAVELING missionary. The people he wrote to were the churches that HE planted and appointed Elders to.

STUDY your Bible, dude . . .

Here's scripture

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law/not committing sin, rather through the law we become conscious of sin rom 3:20
Reconsile that with the follwing . . .
Mark 121:28-34

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

“Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”

NOWHERE does Jesus condemn the MORAL aspects oof the Law here.
In fact - He tells the rabbi that he is NOT far from the Kingdom of God.

Even Paul makes clear that it is only the CERMONIAL and DIETARY aspects of the Law that we are no longer bound by. But, Jesus makes crystal-clear - we are STILL bound by the MORAL aspects of the Law.

The first three Commandments are about the ONE God.
The rest of the Commandmets are encompassed in loving our NEIGHBOR as ourselves.

Sure - just as soon as YOU give me Scriptural explanations for the questions I asked regarding the miracles of Jesus - and the use of oil in the Epistle of James.

I'll wait here for your answers . . .

You ever wonder why Peter's failings are at the forefront of Gospel story at Christ's arrest and execution? Why not Philip or one of the others?
Why it was Peter's behavior that was so important for Paul to correct? If James was the leader of the Church why wasn't he the one Satan wanted to sift? Why wasn't James told to comfort Peter instead of visa versa? Why didn't Jesus change James 'name ?
You seem to think that God's choice should be based on personal qualities that you can see and approve of.
You think Peter isn't the right stuff as if anyone but God could know what that was.

Peter did this, So he's too flawed, Peter is cowardly and weak. Yet you do exactly what Peter was rebuked for. Like Peter you try to bend the mind of God to meet your human expectations.
I can tell you Satan didn't make you a personal mission.

You said I;
"Twist what Scripture clearly says into whatever your mind compels you to."

Let me translate;

Trying to explain the following to catholics seems hopeless:
Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by observing the law/not committing sin, rather through the law we become conscious of sin rom3:20
Whats the result?
For sin shall no longer be yourc master for you are not under law but under grace rom 6:14
Whats the catholic response to being quoted rom 3:20?
''NOWHERE does Jesus condemn the MORAL aspects oof the Law here''

Sigh sigh

Because you don't understand Baptism the meaning of this event is lost to you.
This event highlights that water is required for Baptism. You don't hear Peter saying, well I guess water isn't necessary for them. No Peter said who can deny them water now? Meaning that they were used to the Holy Spirit responding to water as happened when Jesus was Baptized and everyone else not among those who were with Jesus from the beginning of His ministry.
The upper room was filled with disciples who had been cleansed and prepared by Jesus personally. Disciples who had died with Christ when it happened. They had lived the one Baptism in Christ. They prayed in the upper room and waited for the Holy Spirit to complete their Baptism with the gifts to accomplish the mission of the Church.

Oh I don't disagree with water baptism, I've been baptised in water, everyone should be. My point was, Cornelius and his household must have been in a saved state/received salvation PRIOR to being baptised in water

Im sorry. I misunderstood.
Not necessarily saved yet but obviously Cornelius and his household are who Jesus meant when He told Peter in the vision on the roof to not call profane what He had sanctified. So you are right in that hey were cleaned by Jesus personally like those in the upper room but they didn't yet know Jesus and as Peter was teaching them about Christ their Baptism was confirmed.

I think many don't understand the pristene level the law is set at. Is it sin not to obey Jesus commands? If it is, think on
You may begin to grasp why some of us are so eager to die to righteousness of obeying the law
Baptism has nothing to do with obeying the law. We are no longer bound by the law.

You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
That doesn't exclude the necessity of water in baptism.

You are far too hung up on rite, ritual and ceremony.
No, you are. All you can see is empty ritual. You are blind to what baptism means. We die with Christ and rise up with Him. It's that simple.
Thou at times scripture may appear to state you are saved through faith and baptism the reality is you are saved by faith(Eph2:8)
Yes, we are saved by faith, that is a Catholic teaching you borrowed from us. Note that Ephesians 2:8 doesn't say "faith alone".
Paul hardly baptised anyone but he preached the message all over the place.
The number of people Paul baptized doesn't matter. It's a fact that he did baptize and you are downplaying its importance.
God wants your heart and repentance and an acceptance of his son, that matters far more than any rite, ritual or ceremony you can undertake.
You are really confused. Faith and repentance are required for baptism (or by proxy of the parents). That's why instructions are always given.
A man is powerfully convicted of his sin by the Holy Spirit, he sinks to his knees, tears streaming down his cheeks and cries out to God for the forgiveness of his sins, he asks Christ into his life as his saviour. How will God respond? Will he say to the man
''I will forgive you, but not yet, only once you have been baptised in water''
A ridiculous non-sequitur fallacy. Water baptism is normative. Their is also Baptism of Desire (thief on the cross) and Baptism of Blood (the martyrs before they had a chance to be baptized). This demonstrates you have no clue as to what baptism means. Denying water in John 3:5 is a heresy. It's says "water and spirit". What part of and don't you understand???
Here's scripture

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law/not committing sin, rather through the law we become conscious of sin rom 3:20
The law made them conscious of sin, but offered no escape from sin. I like Romans too.

Rom. 6:4 – in baptism, we actually die with Christ so that we, like Him, might be raised to newness of life. This means that, by virtue of our baptism, our sufferings are not in vain. They are joined to Christ and become efficacious for our salvation.

Rom. 5:12 – sin came through Adam and death through sin. Babies’ souls are affected by Adam’s sin and need baptism just like adult souls.

Rom. 5:12 – sin came into the world through one man, Adam, and death came through this sin. This sin affects all people, men and women, babies and adults. Through the merits of Jesus Christ, we have the sacrament of baptism to wash away the sin that came through Adam.

Rom. 5:14 – death reigned from Adam to Moses, born from Adam’s original sin. This is a mystery we do not fully understand, but we must all acknowledge our propensity toward evil and our need of God.

Rom. 5:16 – the judgment following one single trespass brought condemnation for all. This means all have inherited the sin of Adam, and all must be washed clean of this sin in the waters of baptism.

Rom. 5:19 – by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners. Original sin is passed on as part of the human condition, and only God in the flesh could atone for our sins by the eternal sacrifice of Himself. Through this sacrifice, God has re-opened the doors to heaven, and through baptism, we are once again made children of God.

historical document:
For Christ also said, ‘Except ye be born again, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.’ Now, that it is impossible for those who have once been born to enter into their mothers’ wombs, is manifest to all. And how those who have sinned and repent shall escape their sins, is declared by Esaias the prophet, as I wrote above; he thus speaks: ‘Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from your souls; learn to do well…And though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white like wool; and though they be as crimson, I will make them white as snow…And for this [rite] we have learned from the apostles this reason. Since at our birth we were born without our own knowledge or choice, by our parents coming together, and were brought up in bad habits and wicked training; in order that we may not remain the children of necessity and of ignorance, but may become the children of choice and knowledge, and may obtain in the water the remission of sins formerly committed, there is pronounced over him who chooses to be born again, and has repented of his sins, the name of God the Father and Lord of the universe; he who leads to the layer the person that is to be washed calling him by this name alone…And this washing is called illumination, because they who learn these things are illuminated in their understandings. And in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who through the prophets foretold all things about Jesus, he who is illuminated is washed.”
Justin Martyr, First Apology, 61 (A.D. 110-165).
Sadly, you have nothing to do with the Church of 110 AD. Can you at least acknowledge Justin Martyr as a Christian???

Baptism has nothing to do with obeying the law. We are no longer bound by the law.

That doesn't exclude the necessity of water in baptism.

No, you are. All you can see is empty ritual. You are blind to what baptism means. We die with Christ and rise up with Him. It's that simple. Yes, we are saved by faith, that is a Catholic teaching you borrowed from us. Note that Ephesians 2:8 doesn't say "faith alone".
The number of people Paul baptized doesn't matter. It's a fact that he did baptize and you are downplaying its importance. You are really confused. Faith and repentance are required for baptism (or by proxy of the parents). That's why instructions are always given.

Cornelius and his household were filled with the Holy Spirit as the disciples were at Pentecost and spoke in tongues PRIOR to being baptised in water
