e was writing to Christian Israelites scattered throughout the referenced regions. Israelites were comprised of both Jews and Gentiles. Genesis 17:12; Exodus 12:48-49; Leviticus 19:34; Leviticus 24:22
Remember that God is not a racist, and cannot be contorted into one.
Of course He is not racist. but one cannot take a Gentile and call them an Israelite. The gentiles who became Jews were always called proselytes and not Jews.
Also god made a covenant with one nation and one nation only- Israel. And He made eternal unconditional
promises as well as conditional promises
And it was written to the Jewish believing congregations. they may have had gentile believers attached to them but we have no evidence one way or another. Messianic Jews hold to many diofferent beliefs and practices than Gentile believers, though we are one ody.
They observe the Sabbath as required, they circumcise as required for Jews and not Gentiles.
Romans 9
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they
are not all Israel, which
are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
1. Of Israel:
Not
all Israel
The children of the flesh
Not the children of God
Not the children of the promise
Not counted for the seed
Too bad you took this out of context and left out a very important verse:
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
this verse explains the children of promise!!!!!
Romans 11
26 And so
all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Only
faithful obedient spiritual "
all Israel", comprised of
the believing elect beloved remnant from Israel (
Romans 9:27;
Romans 11:1-5,26,28), and
believers from among the Gentiles (
Romans 11:11), shall be saved.
Wow talk about twisting Scripture!
Gentiles who are saved are saved in the Body of Christ which is made up of Jew and Gentile in one body! Ephesians. Gentiles being saved do not make us part of Israel- but part of the body!
But as to who is the all Israel Paul is writing about?
Zechariah 13:8-9
King James Version
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
Ezekiel 20:33-38
King James Version
33 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God.
37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
At then end of the tribulation, the veil will be removed from Israel
2 Corinthians 3:13-16
King James Version
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
and that "ALL ISRAEL" (the 1/3 surviving the tribulation) will be saved! Paul made it explkicitly and abundantly clear that He was speaking about Jews and Gentiles as separate people and not all becoming Israel.
