when your told to listen to a man, and only him,, and told to reject tryign to interpret yourself. Your bound to be blinded to what is true or what is not because you are relying on the person to be true in all areas.

Peter was the apostle to the jews.. His letters reflect that as he wrote two epistles to the jews

Paul on the other hand, was the apostle to the gentiles.. Which means he would have been the apostle or the bishop of rome, not peter

in fact. Peter and paul had the same authority. Ie, if anyone was a bishop of the church it was both of them. Not just one

Peter was never called the bishop of rome. Even when he lived there. Also. The Bishop or rome was voted on locally. Each city had its own bishop which was elected..

Don't know which sect you're referring to - but this is NOIT the case in the Catholic Church. In fact, the BULK of Scripture is not officially interpreted.

WRONG on just about everything you just said.

The Early Bishops of the Church were APPOINTED by the Apostles, who were the FIRST Bishops. Even Judas was a Bishop. We see this is Acts 1:20, when Peter says to the rest, “Let another take his office.”
The Greek worjk used here for “office” is “Episkoiay” or BISHOPRIC.

Peter was indeed Bishop of Rome after appointing Ignatius his successor as Bishop of Antioch.
In the document, Against Heresies in the 2nd century - Irenaeus lists ALL of the Bishops of Rome from his own time all the way back to Peter.

According to the Oxford Dictionary of Popes by eminent PROTESTANT historian J.N.D. Kelly, Peter is listed as the FIRST Bishop of Rome.

You accuse Catholics of “forgetting our Church history” – yet it is YOU who have forgotten YOURS.
Everything you accuse the Church if doing – killing those who didn’t agree – was done by YOUR Protestant Fathers as well.
There is PLENTY of blood on everybody’s hands because human beings tend to screw up the things of God before seeing the error of their ways.

As for “destroying many documents” to cover their tracks – I need for YOU to provide proof for that claim. It’s easy to make wild accusations – but it’s quite another thing to PROVE them..
