We have gotten to the point that we have lost our moral compass, there is confusion on what is right or wrong, what is a man or what is a woman, and worse, what is the natural affections between them and resulted in a dishonorable corruption that has darkened what is held as moral even in the worlds eyes. There must be a definite moral standard as a rule for life, or mankind goes into a absolute destruction of the social and behavioral norms and ultimate collapse of society. Now for Christians, who claim the Bible as the basis of authority for their lives, should be at the forefront in telling others that much is said in the Scriptures concerning the moral code.

We find it written by the finger of God on tables of stone and given to all those who believe, and yet we find many Christians fighting against it and claiming it has been done away with. This is directly what has open the door to the decline in morals, as if even the godly dont believe in and hold to the moral code God has given mankind, what will the ungodly hold as the standard of morality.

Well we are seeing it, where right has become wrong, and wrong has become right, with any disastrous behaviors and social conduct becoming the norm. So how do we get back to certainty as to a moral standard that upholds what God intended for man. Those who believe and call themselves Christian and walk as Jesus did when here on earth, have to follow what He held as the moral standard, the Law.

Well, lets take a look at this from a completely different standpoint; let's see what Jesus had to say about it.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 12:50
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

And what was "the will of my father" that Jesus was talking about?
Psalm 40:8
I delight to do your will, your law is in my heart;

The Fathers will is His law, you can see this in John 5:30.
John 5:30 - I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

And we know what Jesus said on it.
Matthew 5:17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Now, since Jesus knew what laws His death would fulfill, which were the ceremonial laws, would He be saying this about the Ten Commandments which stand forever? Of course not, and this evident upon reading the following verses:

Mark 12:28-31
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

What law was Jesus citing, if you look its the Ten Commandments, as the 10 Commandments are arranged in two groups; the first group from one to four, deal with our relationship to God, the second group from five to ten, deal with our relationship to one another. When we read Matthew 22:37-40, it should be obvious that it is the Ten Commandments Jesus is talking about. Lets look at those verses:

Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

It is these two guideline, love to God and love to one another, that constitute the entire moral law of the Ten Commandments. Jesus Christ couldnt have said it any more clear if you look in His words.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

The moral code has not changed since written by Gods finger, only the subterfuge of Satans lies that it is done away with.

Those who follow Gods Law will be considered His chosen, those who transgress it will face the wages or punishment which is the second death. So we must think through and discern when we hear the claim that His Law is no longer and we are free throw it aside for the bondage and addiction of evil..

There is a very simple proverb (called "the Silver Line"), that addresses morality:

"Partially right, most of the time, is moral (selah)"

It draws on what Jesus said was righteous ("blessed are those who hunger for righteousness" and how we should relate to Heaven, "be as a child, exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees" paraphrased from memory).
I had a friend who was a 'Christian' musician, and he thought he was 'partially right' in his path as he was doing music at the churches and giving 'testimony' with the songs to the people. But what do you think he bragged about when he got back from visiting the churches, about the girls he got in the back of his SUV and it was all for his pleasure, not for their spiritual life. I dont know if you can call that 'moral' at any level.

The law of God in the sanctuary in heaven (Revelation 11:19) is the great original, of which the precepts inscribed upon the tables of stone and recorded by Moses in the Pentateuch were an unerring transcript. Those who arrive at an understanding of this important point are thus led to see the sacred, unchanging character of the divine law. They see, as never before, the force of the Saviour's words: "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law." Matthew 5:18. The law of God, being a revelation of His will, a transcript of His character, must forever endure, "as a faithful witness in heaven." Not one command has been annulled; not a jot or tittle has been changed. Says the psalmist: "Forever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven." "All His commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever." Psalm 119:89; 111:7, 8

Sounds like "partially right a few times, the rest of the time unaddressed" to me.

Lust is the leven that renders living bread valuless to God. "...but Lord we did this and this and that and the other in your name..." how does Jesus responds? Simple; he lets them know they are of no value because they exchanged the Glory of an incorruptible God for the glory of corruptable things. They chose to live in Lust and cloke it with religion. That is called suppressing the light.

How can one be Moral if they are full of Lust hiding in plain sight? What gifts did the master leave His servants to multiply in His abscense while on a LONG JOURNEY. It was the gifts that were poured out from heaven. "I will pour out my spirit (holy spirit) upon all flesh..." Its convenient for those who bear no fruit to say that the Lord no longer has need of them in these days, because they're lust reveals the abscence of His gift in their own lustful lives. They would rather level the playing field to their swamp and have everyone believe to forget about the gifts and just focus on the "GODLY" works. "There is a way that seems Godly (Moral) to a man, but the end thereof is destruction".

Begon from me, I never knew you: Speaking to the Lust. Jesus never knew lust, yet He carried on the cross for our sake and left us with gifts to multiply or rather pass on to others, that by these gifts, His light (glory) would shine through us and express His righteousness to the whole creation. These are the true saints of an incorruptible God.

We must ask ourselves this question: Is my light (His glory in my life) shining brightly, or is my lust suppressing His light and I'm telling people I'm a flashlight, but I have no power and I'm not recharging my batteries. He said to Jesus, I knew you were a hard man, so I just sat on your gifts and did nothing with them. Jesus tells His disciples (at that time), to go to the upper room and they would receive "POWER", so that we might become pillars of light. This is the true test of what one with Moral fiber is made of. And I bet you thought it was how much money you gave to the platter that test your Moray's.
