It seems to me that we need to distinguish between the indwelling Spirit (that comes to all believers)

"If a person has not the Spirit of Christ (In them) they are none of God's"

"Christ is THAT Spirit"

"God is A Spirit'.

The born again are "the Temple of the Holy Spirit".

A.) Connect the dots for best results.........reader.

and the subsequent experience of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

This is not for everyone.
Not everyone receives this......as this Baptism puts the "called" "into the Ministry".

This is the "Dove" that ascended on Jesus, and began His Ministry...

This "subsequent experience" is why you have "Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, and Pastors".

Its a CALL.. Its a ANOINTING.. that comes... to empower and enable.......its not a "everyone has it".
Its the same with the 9 Spiritual Gifts.

Its the same you find in the Old Testament that was... "and the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah"...

Its a "you are being put into a Ministry.. CALL of God"... Anointing.

Shall we plug our ears to this?…

1 Cor 14
21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

It’s not God that is anointing you to reject the supernatural gifts of tongues.

Actually, I have 62 videos in the lesson that deal with every single biblical doctrine.

You dont even understand that "Jews require a Sign" and "Tongues are for a Sign"..

So, if you have 666 Videos, i can tell already that "game over".

Have you watched the videos by "Episkapos"?

This is a person who says that they are a "Christians and who TEACHES... that...."The Cross of Christ is not about Forgiveness of Sin".

He's been on this forum for over 12 yrs, and never been banned, and he SELLS the most "non-Christian" Theology found on on any "christian" forums, in the known universe.

He has more Videos then you do @Truther , and i've passed on everyone of those also.

You sound like you blew a fuse today. You need to back off on the coffee. Now, is this pertaining to you?…

…or just me?

If speaking in tongues was only for the Jews, then why was it written to the Corinthian church?

I created a YouTube channel, and this page can help you to understand how it differs between the nine gifts of the spirit and the unknown tongues that were supported by paul two chapters later.
Okay, so what you are calling know tongues relates to the outpouring at Pentecost. #5 in my list below.
Unknown tongues are the other four uses listed. Am I understanding you?

Five Uses of Tongues
1) Personal prayer language (speaking to God) See Acts 1:5, 1 Corinthians 14:2 and Acts 19:6
2) Intercessory prayer language (prayer in the Spirit) See Romans 8:26
3) Congregational message (preferably with interpretation) 1 Corinthians 14
4) Worship language (singing in tongues) See 1 Corinthians 14:15
5) Evangelistic language (language of the hearers) Like the outpouring at Pentecost. See Acts 2

The tongue is the most unruly member of the human body. It is amazing that God is showing us through unknown tongues that he is able to control our tongue.

Perhaps you can explain why Jesus never spoke in Tongues, as recorded in the New Textament'

Why dont you put a "video" out on that Reality.

Why dont you read John 20:22, and notice that all the Apostles received the Holy Spirit and none of them "spoke in tongues".., and none of them were Water Baptized.

Put that in a Video... as that is TRUE.

If you need one more, then find Paul's conversion, and notice that He also didnt "speak with tongues".

That'll make a GOOD video.....for you to create..... All 3.
Start anytime you like., as its good to be honest. @Truther

Yes, you are right. Whether or not you speak an unknown tongues or various known languages that are supernaturally gifted. Either one is evidence that you have the Holy Ghost. Having none of them is no evidence that you have the Holy Ghost.
Do you see this as a subsequent event?
Or are you claiming that non-tongues-speaking Christians do NOT have the Holy Spirit?

Yes, known languages, which are super naturally gifted, are found in first Corinthians chapter 12. The next chapter, it speaks that these gifts in chapter 12 will cease. That is at the second coming of Jesus. The next chapter which is chapter 14, and speaking of something called unknown tongues. It is not known to man. It is a language between the human spirit and spirit of God. It is from start to finish about unknown tongues only.
If a person has not experienced unknown tongues, they need not read the chapter. It is not for them. It is written to those that have the experience. That means they are not born of the spirit.

The evidence of tongues started with acts, chapter 2. Various people had it in the Old Testament. John, the Baptist, Jesus, other prophets even Sail and David, had the spirit of God move on them. Tongues was reserved for the last day of church.

I am saying that anybody in their right mind would want evidence that they have the Holy Ghost. Not by laying hands on your television set and some fake an evangelist telling you you have it because you confess Jesus. I want to feel it and experience it. Smart people will do that.

Can you speak in tongues?

I can’t remember if you said you did.

I can speak in tongues, though I have never been prompted to speak in them for many years now.

I started speaking in tongues not long after I became Born Again, then they just stopped.

Again, you are teaching that "old time Assembly of God"... "now you have to have that , as that is the evidence"
And that is Baloney.

See,. every born again believer has received the Holy Spirit, or they are not born again.

Reader...
Now, i have no issue with a prayer language or with the the Gift of Tongues, but when its used by people to try to prove that they have something that you dont....

See that Trick?

That is the CARNAL situation, that they are involved in.... and its seriously carnal.

The evidence of tongues started with acts, chapter 2.

But your and your group, unless you have been lying on this Thread, teach that IT has to happen.......
Its the "proof".
'
Yet i just showed you that Jesus never spoke in tongues.
I showed you that when the Apostles were given the Holy Spirit, they didnt speak in tongues, .. unknown or otherwise.

And Paul, when he was converted... didnt speak in Tongues...

So, the reason you want to avoid all this, is because it exposes your theology., but it doesn't eliminate the prayer language that a few here are describing that they have...

You can't even begin to explain those 3 situations, yet your denomination tries to tell people that they are "missing something"..
Yet, Jesus, the 11 Apostles, and Paul, say you are selling something that is a false theology....created by Pentecostals, who were affiliated with Amiee Semple McPherson, and Kathryn Kuhlman and a long line of Pentecostals who created this exact Theology and sold it like Ham sandwiches.., and its still being sold to gullible people .
