Grace is unconditional. Salvation by grace is not.

Grace is the shining of the Sun of righteousness on the just and the unjust alike.

Grace is the open door to heaven that no man can close.

Grace is the increase that only God can give.

It is 'unconditional' in that it is available to all who come by faith without respect of persons, and it is available only because God's Son made it so by the cross.

Salvation by grace is conditioned on faith: believing the God who's grace is available to all that believe.

By faith in Jesus God's grace does not only shine upon us, but shines within our hearts. Without faith, the sun still shines, but not in our hearts.

By faith we water and dig the ground of our souls, and by grace God gives the increase. The work itself does not give the increase, that only God can give by grace. Without faith, we cannot water and dig, and so no increase from God.

By faith we enter through the door of the Shepherd. Without faith we cannot enter, neither can we enter by another way. The door remains open by grace, but we can only enter by faith.

God saves by grace through faith: grace is open for all, but only through faith can grace save. The opening by Christ is the grace of God, that no man can earn, but the entering into Christ is through faith only.

God's Grace is simply His favor. read when Moses would mention it to the Lord.

Grace is what the word means. God created the universe with beyond massive power, yet he can delicately (gracefully) command tiny power to heal, resurrect and deliver us fro death and hell. He is a spirit that is all mighty powerful.

Most forgotten:
You must humbly:
• Recognize and acknowledge you have sinned
• Confess it as sin
• Be sorry for your sin and tell the Lord you are sorry
• Ask Him to forgive you
• Turn your back on the sin and start to obey God

After that is when grace starts.

Amen!

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." Eph 6:13-16

"So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
For many are called, but few are chosen." Matt 22:10-14

Unfortunately we can mistake and confuse our personal faith to be God's faith, and our personal ideas to be truth of God.
1. There is no such thing as "God's faith". Faith is always directed towards the object of faith, and there is no object of faith for God -- who is the Lord God Almighty. Jesus said "Have faith in God" not "Have the faith of God".

2. However saving faith is generated through the preaching of the Gospel (Rom 10:17). See Romans 10 (the whole chapter) and other passages. And this faith is generated in the hearts of the lost while the Holy Spirit does His work of convicting and convincing sinners.

3. Also those who claim that God gives the gift of saving faith to some, and withholds it from others is false. That is because God commands ALL MEN EVERYWHERE to repent. But after one is saved there is (1) the spiritual gift of faith and (2) the spiritual fruit of faith.

I learned that Grace is accompanied by His Mercy...
Grace gives us what we DON'T deserve
Mercy does not give us what we Do deserve.
A good example is when a person is charged and found guilty of a crime and is standing before the judge to hear his punishment....and he begs the court..."have mercy on me your Honor, I pray for your sense of compassion to not punish me accordingly to my crime"
So the judge considers many factors involved and gives him probation instead of imprisonment....this is Grace.
The man deserved to serve some jail time but the Grace and Mercy of the court saved him from that fate

There is the faith of God that saves and we obey to fulfill the royal law to love our neighbor as ourselves, but it is personal faith in things with Jesus, such as meats and drinks, that God allows us in our own lives and homes:

Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. (Rom 14)

Not much preaching these days about "repentance, confessing sin, humbling ourselves?
That would be where justification comes from: we are saved by grace, if we believe, and we are justified by grace, if we do the works of faith.

Paul preached against salvation by works, and James preached against justification without works.

One is works without faith, and only outward obedience to a law, and the other is faith without works, and only outward profession of words:

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (I John 3)

Through faith we enter into the race of salvation and eternal life by grace, and with works of faith we run the race by grace to the end.

Salvation is the beginning and ending, but justification is the in between: the continuing in grace and faith, and going on from repentance of dead works (Heb 6) to growing in grace, which is the perfecting of the saints, full of faith and rich in good works (1 Cor 6), to be presented blameless at His appearing:

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3)

So, we first preach the faith of Jesus, and then we preach the justification with works following:

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Tim 2)

Yes, there is: Jesus' faith.

Our faith does not save us, but only the faith of Jesus, which He gives as a gift by grace. It is unconditionally offered to all as the Sun shines upon the just and unjust alike, but only they that believe Him are saved by grace.

We must open our eyes to see the Light, and even as the sun shines only by grace, only by faith are our eyes opened unto Him.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ. (Galatians 2)

We believe Jesus Christ, because we receive the faith of Jesus.

And so we cannot have faith in God without having the faith of God in us: the faith of Jesus Christ.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Rev 14)

2 and 3 are good and true.

It is the faith of Jesus that generated in our hearts which saves by grace. It is not our own faith generated, because then we would be the generators thereof.

We are regenerated by the faith of Jesus, not by our own faith, that all might be the work of God only, by grace.

If it were our faith generated in our hearts, then works of our faith would be our own works that save and justify us.

Neither the faith saves nor the works of saving faith are our own, else we can boast of God's debt to us for being and living so good all on our own.

Not so. It is His faith we must obey (Rom 1:5), if not His faith becomes dead to us:

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? (James 2)

So, we see salvation is conditioned on believing Jesus Christ, with the faith of Jesus received in our hearts by grace (Gal 2), and continuing therein (Acts 13:43, 14:22) is conditioned on going on to the good works were are created unto (Eph 2:10) and maintaining them (Titus 3), and not drawing back and returning to the dead works repented of. (2 Peter 2)

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. (Rom 11)

Maintaining good works of the faith of God is the keeping the ground of our souls honest and good to bear necessary fruit unto God, else it becomes full of thorns and briers to be rejected of God and cursed to burning in the end. (Heb 6)

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. (Titus 3)

So, the real question is: can the faith of Jesus be alive in the heart of the believer at one time, and then dead to the unbeliever at another:

He that was a believer, and is not a believer... (Rev 17:8)

Can the honest and good ground producing good fruits of faith become unfruitful and cursed of God? Can the branch in the Vine abide not in the Vine and fall away by dead weight of past sins renewed again, without repentance?

In any case, becoming saved is completely dependent on receiving the faith of Jesus and believing in God from the heart.

Why do you say that?
Because it's true. I had spent years in the New Age and can recognize it a mile away.
Show me in Scripture what Jesus said.

Let me cut to the quick and ask you what I ask others.
How much good works must you do before you are saved?
