A prophet is also called a seer. (See-er)
They see things.
The prophetic gift on an individual.
They are told things
They see things.
Sometimes both.
Words of knowledge come.( Revelation on verses, heresy, and mysteries in the bible.)
King David invoked his prophetic gift against Goliath.
" I see your head coming off"
He " punched his memory "..." I killed the lion and the bear "
Then he invoked the prophetic word,
The prophetic gift is directly tied to the healing ministry.
When laying hands on the sick or a dead person, we look to the prophetic word in confirmation and that is tge tie to miracles signs and wonders.
That dynamic is illustrated in Peter. He was kinda sure, but not real sure he could walk on water.
It was at the spoken word " come" that Peter was indued with a mountain moving faith.
That is what we look for in praying for the sick. ( the prophetic word)
We know God Heals.
We know healing is for every single person.
But when we lay hands on sick people and hear that Rhema word ( "command it. I will do it") we have now seen that mustard seed of faith in the palm of our hand bloom into a huge tree of faith.
The prophetic gift combined with the gift of healing makes huge success in laying on of hands.
I believe it is in that arena that Paul is saying
"...but above all gifts pray that you operate in the prophetic realm".
I have noticed also that the prophetic gift is sometimes like a patient Father and child in prompting.
The illustration I recieved is " look at the house"
My reply..." I an not see any house, just pure fog"
GOD.. " LOOK AGAIN"
My reply.." oh wait, I can make out a house"
God .."Look in the window"
Me..." I don't see any widows Lord"
GOD..."LOOK AGAIN"
ME ..." OH WAIT..yes there is a windows, I can barely make it out"
God .." walk up to it and look inside"
Me.." I can't see anything but reflection, I can't see inside"
God.." look again"
Me..." oh yes ...I can see inside"
( the widow is where you see the thing in the "house" that God is showing you. It is "in the house" where the message or illustration is. We see it through " the window" ( in the spirit)
This illustrates several things.
1 ) understand we can move into the prophetic, but be patient and know you can see nothing apart from his hand on you and the fog I was seeing shrouding the house, is my own self and clutter that I need to keep off of me to stay in clear connection in the Spirit.
2) patience is the cousin of perseverance and persistence.
3) visions and direction can come in several parts and I need to know if there is a continuation to the vision, dream, or voice from heaven.
4) cultivate that prophetic ear so that you know his voice, and not something from the mind.
5) do not add to the vision or word of knowledge.
If he gives you a vision or dream, do not immediately jump to an interpretation from the mind.
Wait for the interpretation. It could be a day or week later.
6) I have spent thousands of dollars going to places of revival and intense presence of God in meetings.
Priceless...totally priceless. I got what I went for.
There are 2 kinds of anointings
a) induvidual...where you spend time in the secret place and in intimacy.
b) corporate...where you go to powerful Holy Ghost meetings and get in that sunomi with the remnant....wow wow wow...nothing like it.
