That was the point you made. Whether you intended to or not is possible, but its definitely how you answered.Nope, that wasn't the point I was making. Better go read it again.
I would say you must have had a real life, life changing experience that altered your spiritual walk and course along the way Epi. And no Yahshua is more that a so-called mere human today and even when he was born on this earth. I can most certainly add more to this subject if you wish Epi, although I do not want to crash your party and thread. It's all yours, and you have the floor.Thanks...another crow! ;) And this from someone who took the turnoff that said..."those who think Jesus was only human, turn here."
Apak, I thought you had better discernment...but Christ-denial obviously keeps one in the dark about much.
Lol! @Lizbeth argued Jesus was "an assumed status?"No. I don’t need to go back. I remember. You were arguing that Jesus was an assumed status
So what do you believe--was Jesus only human? He openly admits it and has done so for years.
I’m listening.Except that isn't all the bible says about the scriptures.
Lol! @Lizbeth argued Jesus was "an assumed status?"
Jesus IS our reward. Not some assumed status.
You don't seem to understand that both are true.
Baby, bathwater. See it all the time in Christendom. Not many are able to hold onto two apparently opposite ideas at the same time because they are held in spirit.
He lost the floor and the debate, this is painfully obvious.I would say you must have had a real life, life changing experience that altered your spiritual walk and course along the way Epi. And no Yahshua is more that a so-called mere human today and even when he was born on this earth. I can most certainly add more to this subject if you wish Epi, although I do not want to crash your party and thread. It's all yours, and you have the floor.
Look @stunnedbygrace: '....training in righteousness..' for sure, and what do you think that means? It obviously means scripture has real meaning for real believers who are already ON the path of righteousness....and then you can really get into more detail if you want for there about our walk in righteousness today, as others have already pointed out.Except that isn't all the bible says about the scriptures.
You haven’t determined yet what I believe about that…?So what do you believe--was Jesus only human?
Just answer the question Stun, or forbear, and I'm still awaiting for the quote re Lizbeth on Jesus "assumed status"You haven’t determined yet what I believe about that…?
Mostly, I think it means…being doers and not just hearers. But what I mostly find is people here who think hearing and claiming for self is all that’s necessary. And, in fact, doers are severely castigated. Anyone who talks about picking up your cross, remaining faithful to the end, working out your salvation with fear and trembling, not thinking more highly of yourself than you should, taking the lowest seat, and other aspects of the gospel - they are gnashed at.Look @stunnedbygrace: '....training in righteousness..' for sure, and what do you think that means
SBG I have never believed that for a minute that Christ was just a human man as I just corrected your spiritual leader Epi on the same insinuation. And why is it so important to you as we are discussing here a quite different subject concerning righteousness. I would think it is crucial that you know you have righteousness today and not in some elusive distant future when you somehow gain the knowledge/experience (sounds like a take on Gnosticism) full about of grace possible and walk as an elitist in the higher calling, the highest walk in Christ only know to a very few......do you truly believe all this...?He openly admits it and has done so for years.
Oh well, you know, you won’t get me to bite. wasnt that your response to a question I had? Why should I answer your questions and you not answer mine?Just answer the question Stun, or forbear, and I'm still awaiting for the quote re Lizbeth on Jesus "assumed status"
LOL You crashed this thread already. Thanks!I would say you must have had a real life, life changing experience that altered your spiritual walk and course along the way Epi. And no Yahshua is more that a so-called mere human today and even when he was born on this earth. I can most certainly add more to this subject if you wish Epi, although I do not want to crash your party and thread. It's all yours, and you have the floor.
You argued that a few years ago. Maybe you’ve changed your mind on it, but we had a days long discussion on whether Jesus should be worshiped and then I just stopped reading your posts for the most part.SBG I have never believed that for a minute that Christ was just a human man
Why is this a mystery? Episkopos teaches that you have add your part to finish off Jesus' part. We are saved exclusively by grace through faith, or something is to be added to that. So you tell me, which is this that you say? That epi says? Be brave!Essentially the same message as what? Be brave.
Well I agree with a lot of what you say indeed. Although I believe faithful believers do not claim it just for self and stop there and beat their breasts with pride as I seem you indicate here. Most go on and carry their Cross in the world. I think you may be exaggerating and a bit pessimistic about folks when they say they are reborn and truly believers. They experience the same Spirit of God in their lives as you and I do, and some walk more slowly that others and grow a little slower that others....nothing really wrong with that at all.Mostly, I think it means…being doers and not just hearers. But what I mostly find is people here who think hearing and claiming for self is all that’s necessary. And, in fact, doers are severely castigated. Anyone who talks about picking up your cross, remaining faithful to the end, working out your salvation with fear and trembling, not thinking more highly of yourself than you should, taking the lowest seat, and other aspects of the gospel - they are gnashed at.
It seems all you have left is ridicule.LOL You crashed this thread already. Thanks! And the crows have taken over the thread. The monkeys are jumping from branch to branch. I'm not a zoo keeper...and crows feed on carrion.
If you have issues with the video or the general idea of what it means to get a sample of grace from God (that makes us the people of God just like the Jews) then post away. What I find offensive is the arrogance in thinking that somehow Jews are no good...rejected...and Gentiles are given an easier time of it. To whom much is given MORE is required. But the crows are squawking their way into the same end as the Israelites in the wilderness.
Describing the ridiculous with metaphors can only be seen as ridicule if you have a part in the ridiculous. Otherwise it is seen as light-hearted if accurate commentary. It seems all you have left is ridicule.
Sad!
