Hey....
Just as a curiosity....
WHERE do you get your books from that you read and WHY do you get them there?

Asking for reasons of how to promote book sales.

Unless I happen to have a gift gift card someone has given me, I almost always purchase the books that I read at AbeBooks | Shop for Books, Art & Collectibles

The majority of my reading is in the field of theology. In this field I read at a professional level. The books typically are more technical than popular in nature, often but not always old and out-of-print, and sometimes quite expensive. Many aren’t readily available at booksellers such as Barnes & Noble.

I’m retired now and living on a fixed income. Because of the expense involved, I prefer to buy used or reprints; hardcover when possible and not cost prohibitive. The website I provided a link for allows me to search for new and used books (in any field of interest, not only theology) worldwide.

* Reading in sixteenth, seventeenth and even eighteenth century English is particularly challenging.

Read widely. Read deeply. Read thoughtfully. Read critically. … Read in languages other than English if able. *

Yeah...
The older books are not like the newer ones. The older books tend to have more in them with a more condensed writing style than current ones. (And better grammar)
Yes, publishing has become easier than ever before...but it hasn't improved the quality whatsoever.

I’m currently reading The Parent Revolution: Rescuing Your Kids from the Radicals Ruining Our Schools, written by Corey A. DeAngelis.

An amendment to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to allow school choice is being voted on in a couple of weeks.

I’m currently reading Jewish and Christian Apocalypses: The Schweich Lectures, 1913, delivered and written by F. Crawford Burkitt.

Trivia. I purchased the book from the estate of the late Professor Bruce M. Metzger. An inscription inside, in his personal handwriting, has his name, school identification (Princeton Seminary) and date (February 22, 1943). He was a professor at the Seminary at the time he added the book to his personal library.

I get them new from time to time, from charity shops and on my e-reader. I have loads of books unfinished , kind of dip into them from time to time. I also read a mixture of Christian testimonies, but also fantasy - reading Brandon sandersons ‘ Way of the kings ‘ series at the moment. Read his ‘ Mistborn ‘ series years ago and loved it. My sons and daughter also read them, I saw a spiritual interpretation within the stories.
