Well, I like mushrooms on pizza....but then there are then the pizza carbohydrates....
Yeah if you have to watch your blood sugar that much then I understand. I can eat pizza and potatoes and such. But my specialist said I have to eat little portions if I eat rice and not too much breads and noodles. I'm pre-diabetic.

Once I tried gfeldte fish. I still regret it every time I think about that icky…metallic, fishy taste. See? I just gagged and it was near…20 years ago,

Well, although the US is the Great Melting Pot, ethnic foods are alive and well... :)
A lot of it depends on the local demographics. I found a wonderful German place in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where there's a lot of German-Americans. Here we have some pockets of Indian immigrants, so there are some great Indian restaurants. A couple of which are good for those on Vegan diets.

Or maybe it was the satanic influence the person had to be under who first thought it would be a good thing to stuff in a jar and ask people to try. Maybe that’s what that taste was, yessiree.
OK, now I'm curious about tasting it. You got me now, I'm in trouble.
