Hi there,

So just to broaden the horizon of theology a little, let us consider the Apostles. Were the Apostles, words in the flesh - because the Word in the Flesh dwelt in them? This seems to echo the thoughts that "scripture has said 'ye are gods'" and "they will all be taught by God". In other words, Jesus was teaching them to be words in the flesh. If you think about it, the more different the word the better! The stronger the flesh, that keeps the word the better!

In time, this truth becomes a dialogue; the Apostles commune with Jesus and His Word, and they (the Apostles) also commune with each other and their words. So the bond of love in God, grows daily, with God present in the midst of the Lord's Word ("and the Word was God"). So when the Lord reached out to us, through His Apostles, He reached out to make us "words in the flesh" - that the dialogue continue everywhere. If the dialogue continue everywhere and the word grow, then everyone will hear the Word and be drawn to the Flesh (with the exception of the one that betrays it - let the reader be mindful).

The power of this, is that the word can save the flesh, which the flesh saves. While we are young, we are able to experience the words of others; when we are old we are able to see how one word relates to another. So we are drawn to have word in our flesh, for ever. Not just us, but all of us. I hope this has been of some encouragement.

God bless.

I don't view the apostles as being divine.

2 Peter 1:4

" so that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature"

A text without a context is a pretext for a proof text.

In simple English, one is not understanding what the Bible says.
No where does scripture say we will in this life be like Jesus.

Were the Apostles, words in the flesh - because the Word in Flesh dwelt in them? (full?)

A disciple is a follower …Hearing, learning, students, “not FUL of knowledge, not understanding.
They wonder, doubt …Because “understanding”… follows AFTER becoming “FULL” with “knowledge”.

It’s is …a DECISION men make, to TRUST the ONE giving the knowledge and TRUST the knowledge “bit by bit…” long BEFORE understanding the knowledge is revealed.

(Judas, A Disciple…The Treasurer…keeper of the money donations given for Jesus’ ministry…challenged Jesus regarding…how and who (another individual SHOULD spend THEIR OWN money) …A debacle to Judas’ own detriment.)

Disciples (as students, following, learning)…were NOT “IN-Dwelt” with the Holy Spirit…
The Holy Spirit was “WITH” Them.

Judas as Example…
The Holy Spirit was “WITH” Judas
“UNTIL”…
Judas “Left being WITH the Holy Spirit…and Chose to BETRAY Jesus…and BE WITH those Against Jesus.”

Many Jews did the Same throughout History…Leave God, Leave Being “WITH” the Holy Spirit…Join “WiTH” Gentiles in Standing with whatever “gods” the Gentiles had.
AND?? The Holy Spirit “LEFT being WITH “them”.

Those Jews were called…LOST.
And Jesus’ Primary mission was to SEEK out “Those Jews”… and Preach to THEM the Word of God…that had generationally become LOST to them.

The chosen (by Jesus) WERE called / chosen to become PREPARED to BE APOSTLES. (Knowledgable in Gods Word AND Gods Understanding) to carry on Teaching the LOST JEWS.

Many are Called, Few ARE Chosen.
We can discover in Scripture…
Many became disciples (followers)…
Few were Chosen to be Apostles, teachers, Have specific Unique Roles/ Services unto The Lord God…and who they were, By names, and What their mission/Task/Service WAS and how they accomplished their Service…

Adam, Noah, Moses, Samuel, Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Keturah, Ishmael, Issac, Leah, Rebekah, Jacob, Esau, Mary, John (s), Matthew, Peter, Saul/Paul, Jesus…ALL chosen and had Signifiant “Service” Roles in multiple capacities they accomplished.

“With” the Holy Spirit…Holy Spirit With a person…(Either can leave the other).
“In” the Holy Spirit…Holy Spirit In a man…
Is PERMANENT…THAT FOREVER the Holy Spirit will be With that man and that man With the Holy Spirit.

God bless you.

Glory to God,
