Is your opinion based on our deregulated (failing) airlines? Deregulated energy (nice job freemarket, Enron)? Deregulated post office (bleeding money)? Deregulated telecommunications (not cheaper, but worse quality), perhaps? How about deregulated trucking? How about our deregulated food safety and financial institutions........

Yeah Andy - America's living behind Obama's iron curtain......

Notice that the Republican's no longer call climate change or global warming a hoax? That's because a few years ago Exxon Mobil whose stock is owned by 90 to 95% republican put out several tv adds trying to debunk the findings of the worlds 5 top scientist that studied the issue over a 15 year period. Those studies came from data obtained from the ISS, Satelites, the shuttle and here on earth. Exxon/Mobil is now being sued by those scientist for those false statements and accusations.

In other words. The republican's have been promoting a lie for all these years and mostly republican's have fallen for it!

It's now a real embarassement for Exxon/Mobil and for republican's!

Some people recognize that there are serious problems with the direction of our nation and of the world, but not understanding the causes and effects, they arise at the conclusion that revolution is the answer. However, it seems that revival of the nation is our only real hope. If this is the case, then clearly God must work through His people to bring it to pass. This leaves us with only one real question: what is our part in it?

-- Interesting point, Michael.
Most of those advocating 'revolution' today cannot articulate what specifically will take the place of that which is to be overthrown. Light on details, but big on assumptions.
What even many Christians here refuse to acknowledge is that - when you look at America at a strategic level - our problems have increased as we have forced God out of our society.
There is indeed a direct correlation between those two things.

I do believe there will be a great revival coming in the US over the next couple of years. A large number of people will give their lives to Christ.
But just as it was at the time of Acts, once the difficulties and persecutions begin in earnest, massive numbers of people will fall away.
Matt. 24 is an excellent indicator of what is to come.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I don't believe in searching for signs, but the signs of the times seem pretty hard to miss. I'm sitting in my living room playing with my electronic entertainment while the power remains, and just 6 feet away, just outside my windows another storm of the century is roaring through the trees and howling through the empty streets of my neighborhood. On the news stations they talk about the awesome power of "mother nature," never once considering that a sovereign God is in control of the storm. The best that the news comes up with is a play by play description of the flooding, torn up boardwalks, fallen trees, and an apparent hunger to witness destruction on a large scale. A brother in our worship service yesterday morning prayed that the Lord would make the storm dissipate and that was a prayer that I shared, but the Lord's way is to bring His people through the storms and I suppose that this is a lesson we need to learn and quickly.
