Its not so much that I am offended. Its that I don't understand your logic (actually, I do... Or so I believe I do).I'm very sorry to have offended you.
It just seems to me when people argue about which day is what, and how many days or not..."To me" it then falls into what Paul wrote, when he said-
1Tim 1:4 "Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. "
I read more quibbling going on about things which are not vital to faith, than I read those things which encourage and build up faith and commitment of our walk.
That is why I posted what I posted.
Again, sorry for offending you. I'll keep my thoughts to myself.
So your supporting text.. 1 tim 1:4... This isn't about geneology. But what about "fables"? We aren't to give heed to them. Now I don't believe anyone on either side is telling a fable as Oaul was uusingthe term. But i am telling one thing and others something else. One is right and the other is wrong... Or we are both wrong.
My point is that it may seem insignificant to humans who llookfor the bottom line... The end rresult. And the end result is that Jesus got up! I agree. But Jesus and God spent a lot of time explaining that the journey is just as important as the destination.
Here is an observation: Christians in general (but especially on discussion boards) state that "its not important when or how it happened, only that it happened" a total of twice per year.
Or I should say they claim that about two controversies. One of them is the passion week. They will argue minute details about everything else... But when it comes to Easter and the other controversy... Facts miraculously become unimportant.
Why do you suppose that is?
