So I am in a struggle at the moment: I've started to realise all the lovers in my life (from porn, to real life) need to be pointed to God. Confessing the sin, freed me, but then I started to notice something else: my flesh began splitting open! It's not an external thing, yet, but the spirit is unmistakeable - my flesh is really losing strength over my spirit. I am becoming born again, but my flesh is becoming corruption. There is no way to go back! The breach is wide; if I make it across, it will be by barely escaping the fall.
Christians frequently say "the Cross is the only way over the chasm", what they don't say is "your flesh won't make it alive!"
I am just having it dawn on me: this is for keeps! The reckoning with the Devil will come; he (the Devil) will try to lay hold of my spirit, but he doesn't understand the spirit. Consequently, my flesh will be torn, once and for all, between here and hereafter. I suppose it is something to pray about "Lord, help me recoup, once I have made it to the other side! In Your Name Amen."
