What does it mean to shut heaven?
What is the rain?
What are the waters, which are turned to blood?
and what are the plagues of the earth? earthy...
Shutting heavens doors:
2Ch 6:26 When the
heaven is shut up, and there is
no rain, because they have
sinned against thee;
yet if they pray toward this place, and
confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
2Ch 6:27 Then hear thou from heaven, and
forgive the sin of thy servants, and of
thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them
the good way, wherein they
should walk; and send
rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for
an inheritance.
Law:
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang
all the law and the prophets.
Testimony:
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved.
Shut heaven:
1Jo 3:17
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels
of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God
in him?
Psa 145:8
The LORD
is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Mat 9:36
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion

Rain:
Gen 8:2 The fountains also of the deep and the
windows of heaven were stopped, and the
rain from heaven was
restrained;

plentiful rain, whereby thou didst
confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
Isa 55:10 For as the
rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it

Exo 9:14 For I will at this time send all

seven times more plagues upon you
