I never said that there would be a 7 years tribulation period. The 7years are the 7year 70th week of Daniel 9:27.

This is not a complicated chart....

View attachment 54180
As I said many times, the verses in 9:24-27 speak of the Messiah... the Messiah would arrive on the first day of the last week of the prophecy - meaning there was only 7 years left of the 490 years. The Messiah was cut off in the "midst" of the week or exactly 3.5 years into the last 7 years. These are the last 7 years. The 2300 days prophecy speaks to the Messiah and One of His fulfillments -it is ONLY as a result of the cross and His sacrifice as the Lamb of God that there would no longer be any need for any further animal sacrifices. He fulfilled this prophecy as the Perfect Sacrifice.

26“And after the sixty-two weeks (means the first day of the 70th week)

Messiah shall [j]be cut off, but not for Himself; (Jesus will be crucified)

And the people of the prince who is to come (the people of the prince are the Romans of pagan Rome. They will also become the "people of papal Rome (prince - small p) when pagan Rome is slain and its body is destroyed (7:11) and they come to full power).

Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. (It is Titus of pagan Rome in 70 AD)

The end of it shall be with a flood, (Titus and his army will have no mercy - everything is destroyed)

And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27Then he shall confirm a [k]covenant with many for one week; (Jesus will confirm the New Coveant -NOT for one week - that is a purposefully bad translation. He confirms the covenant DURING this last week - do you see the continuity here)

But in the middle of the week (exactly 3.5 years into the final 7 years).

He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. (it is Jesus' sacrifice that put an end to the animal sacrifices - He is the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world)

And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, (the abomination of desolation is indeed the cross. As a result of His people rejecting Him and then crucifying Him, He would "make desolate" Himself from them for the next 2000 years. Their punishment for this most abominable crime is to turn away from them and they would no longer have, Go access to His face. This is akin to the scene in Danielk when Nebuchadnezzar, symbolized by the tree that was cut down, would have a iron band on the top and a bronze band on the bottom. The bronze band signified that he would not be killed, while the iron band on top symbolized he would not have any access to God UNTIL he looked up and was heard to accept the one true God... Here in 9:27 God is telling us His people will pay this price for the entire "time of the Gentiles" and then, when they say., "He is the One we have pierced" just like Nebuchadnezzar, He will remove the symbolized iron band.

Even until the consummation, which is determined, (meaning, this will cotinue until the end of the times of the Gentiles is over and that is decreed by God).

Is poured out on the [l]desolate.” (of course this means His people)

Start looking for Jesus in this verses, you will find Him... the 2300 days speaks of Him and it was Jesus Himself who gave Daniel this time element not Gabriel - Gabriel did not know the timing of this... only God.

What was the abomination of desolation in Daniel 11:31, that Antiochus IV 's troops placed on his behalf ?

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

answer: they placed a statue image of Zeus in the temple.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Christians wear crosses because the cross is an abomination ? No, the cross is where Jesus made atonement for our sins, a gift from God that we may be washed clean and have eternal life.

So, all of the information that I provided you regarding 9:26-27 you made no comment…. Which is what you always have done.

But you quickly move on to 11:31 without skipping a beat… I have an answer that ties in with 11:31 and all if chapter 11. None of chapter 11 discusses AE or any other power before pagan Rome. Verse 11:5 begins with pagan Rome.

Sorry, Dougg, you don’t want me o discuss or learn, you want to tell and show your pics. Not once in all the times in the past … whatever, have you attempted to pursue and discuss an interpretation… just as you did here after I gave you 26 and 27.

Sorry Dougg… I am moving on from trying to discuss things with you…

I replied and commented to this specific information you gave in your post....

You wrote that the abomination of desolation in Daniel 9:27 is the cross.

I presented Daniel 11:31, the abomination of desolation in that passage, to shed light on what the abomination will be. What is the abomination of desolation in Daniel 11:31 that was placed ?

30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

You didn't seem to notice that my last post wasn't based on reform beliefs, but on Scripture. Prophecy. Not because I am being persecuted, but because the papacy fits every single criteria that prophecy demanded of any potential candidate for the title, antichrist. A single Pope is not the Antichrist. It is the system that replaces Christ with a counterfeit means by which one can attain salvation. A counterfeit Gospel, counterfeit God, a counterfeit mediator, and counterfeit temple of God. I could meticulously go through every single criteria in Daniel and Revelation that pertains to the antichrist, and every one can be answered only by the papal system. One future single man cannot. And will not.

Oh yeah, I NOTICED VERY WELL your attempt to associate the 4th beast (old Roman empire) of the Book of Daniel with today's Rome, which can only mean the Roman Catholic Church. So I guess you're another one who thinks that most of here are just stupid to the doctrines of men you're pushing? And to claim it's Bible Scripture, WOW! that does take the cake!

Rev 17:10-14
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
KJV

You're probably not going to heed the above Revelation 17 Scripture because of the brainwashing you have succumbed to, but nevertheless, here it is....

The 5 beast kings that have fallen are those old empires before Apostle John's day. And the 6th one was in John's day (Roman emperor Domitian). The 7th is still yet to come, and will be the final Antichrist at the end of this world. He HAS NOT APPEARED YET TODAY.

Verses 12 & 13 reveal those TEN HORNS, which are ten kings, DO NOT COME TO POWER UNTIL THE FINAL BEAST KING COMES TO POWER. That means all men's doctrines of speculation about those ten horns having begun in past history is FALSE. Nor do they exist yet today.

Verse 14 reveals those TEN HORNS will exist at the VERY END of this world, which again confirms JUST WHEN THEY WILL COME TO POWER, i.e., at the very END of this world when the 7th beast king is seated in JERUSALEM claiming to be GOD like Apostle Paul taught in 2 Thess.2.

THUS THE FINAL ANTICHRIST APPEARING AS WORLD KING IN JERUSALEM CANNOT BE OMITTED, SINCE IT IS WRITTEN BIBLE PROPHECY. No other place can supplant that prophecy for JERUSALEM at the END of this world.

I agree that the ten horns, the ten kings, do not have their crowns until Revelation 13 to rule with the beast when there are 42 months left before Jesus's return.

Those ten individuals are alive today, but yet to be revealed exactly who they are.

Certainly though, those ten kings were not in past history, I agree.

My chart that traces the little horn through his 5 stages to become the beast-king makes it easy to understand what is coming.

It's interesting that you feel the need to erect a strawman in order to combat against the word of God. No-one, we'll, at least me, is claiming that the Roman Empire is alive and well today. However, there are some who believe it will come back through the nations of Europe. I subscribe to neither theory. . There are little details in prophecy most people gloss over and do not realize that those little details can become keys to understanding the whole thing. For example. Let me quote Daniel, remembering that the beast Daniel speaks of here is the composite beast of Revelation 13, which is the little horn all grown up and matured. So back to Daniel...

“I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. ”
Daniel 7:11 KJV

The above is the fina lfate of the papacy.

“As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. ”
Daniel 7:12 KJV

Who are the (rest) beastsfirst are the first 4 that we know from history were destroyed, their dominion taken away. Babylon, Greece, Persia, them Rome. Dominion lost. But what does it mean that their lives were prolonged for a season and a time? All 4 beasts sill had life, even though they had lost kingly and political power. How? In their philosophy and religious traditions. We also know from history that each subsequent empire inherited traditions and philosophies from those that went before. The little horn that grew from the head of the 4th beast, pagan Rome, before Rome's dominion was taken away in 476AD, was no exception to this fact. That little horn also inherited the philosophies and traditions of Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome, (how could it be otherwise growing from the head of the beast) and one can readily study the doctrines and rituals and practises of the RCC and recognise those pagan beliefs all through it's system. Hence why the first beast of Revelation 13 is a composite beast of each of those 4 OT empires.
As for the ten horns of Daniel 7. . They cannot be the same 10 horns in Revelation 17, because the papacy, before 538ad, uprooted 3 of them and they are lost to history. They no longer exist. So the 10 horns in Revelation 17 I agree, they are still future.
Though you pretend to know all about me and my beliefs, I don't think you have any idea. What i have shared above is but a small brief sample in response to your strawman. Consider it blown away.

Oh, BTW. They're is ample historical evidence to prove that the RCC received it throne, authority and power from the 4th beast, pagan Rome. I can share that of you like.

There is one small comment I would like to make.... In 7:8 the 3 horns were "plucked up or uprooted." This is a very key term! Because in 7:24, it is Gabriel that tells us that 3 will be "subdued," not plucked up or uprooted. Meaning, the little horn or papacy, had indeed thought he was successful in plucking them up or completetly uprooting these 3 but Gabriel purposefully tells us, no, they were only "subdued" or made subordinate or stamped upon... they were indeed not destroyed, which is why you see the 10 symbolically on his head - 13:1. Gives you something to really think about....

The little horn person and the 2300 day vision about his actions are time of the end. Not back in history.

Daniel 8:
16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

Why does Jesus return to the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2-5), and not Rome to judge the papacy ?

CTK, you are saying that the little horn of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 is an office, position, drawn out over centuries of time, occupied by 266 individual popes across that time.

I am saying the little horn is a singular end times person who goes through 5 stages before being broken... when Jesus returns to the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem.

Jesus returns to the Mt of Olives and not Rome because the Rome issue is finished and done with 1000 years before the New Jerusalem descends and settles on earth.... in a1000 years or so from now. Jesus does not touch the earth when He comes soon, He takes His bride home to His Father.

The Mt. of Olives that Jesus returns to is on this present earth. Not on the future new earth, which has the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21.

When you say "the Rome issue", you are referring to the papacy ? If so, when does God deal with the papacy ?

The papacy is not dealt with by Jesus at His return. But before then. The Vatican will be destroyed, burnt to the ground, during the reign of the beast-king and the ten EU kings that support him. It is in Revelation 17:16

Revelation 17:
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The Bible says that the lost sinners will be resurrected at the end of the 1000 years. Does that mean they will be raised to live on the new earth?

The RCC will be destroyed by the kings of the earth when they realise they have been deceived and betrayed. But the RCC is not just a local issue of the city of Rome. The RCC is a global institution, and those kings will be Riley's over territories making up the entire planet... not just Europe. Remember, "the whole world wonders after the beast. " Prophecies that pertained to the OT dealt with local literal powers. Babylon. Persia. Greece. Assyria. Egypt. Rome. When those powers reached over into NT times, they become metaphors for global spiritual powers. Babylon. Jerusalem. Even Egypt's philosophy of atheism becomes a metaphor for global communism and atheism... the beast of of the bottomless pit... which itself is a metaphor for occult spiritualism... the dragon. There's connectedness in prophecy. They all form a chain linked by history and current events and rulers of this world. You cannot take one prophecy here and there and disjoint it from the test of the prophetic timeline. And you cannot pretend that Jerusalem is a literal "camp of the saints" and pretend it's prime protagonist is a metaphorical city... Babylon.

No, their names will not be found written in the book of life.

The papacy has influence in the nations around the world. But the center of the papacy is the Vatican within Rome's city limits. The Vatican is considered its own city state. But the location is associated with the city of Rome.

The Vatican and papacy religious government will be destroyed by the ten EU kings that align themselves with the beast-king.

The beast-king will be the little horn person in his Stage 5. The little horn of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 is not the papacy.

Correct. So please explain...
“7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ”
Revelation 20:7-10 KJV

Remember. Revelation is not in strict chronological order. It goes forward, and sometimes starts again from a different perspective.

Revelation 20:7-10 KJV
After the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit prison. He will then go out to deceive the nations again.

Among those nations will be the same nations that made up the Gog/Magog attack on Israel a thousand years earlier in Ezekiel 38-39.

The deceived nations will make a huge attack on Israel and Jerusalem. Which will be ended when fire comes down from God out of heaven.

And then Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, where the beast-king and the false prophet will have been for a thousand years.

------------------------------------------------------------

Bracklite, look at my chart so you will know what is coming. Notice that I have some references to verses in Ezekiel 39. Ezekiel 39 starts off with the Gog/Magog attack on Israel.

Then in Ezekiel 39:9, after the attack and destruction of Gog's army, is followed by 7 years. See it on my chart ?

Then in Ezekiel 39:17-20, at the end of those 7 years is the Armageddon event. See it on my chart ?

In Ezekiel 39:21-29 is Jesus Himself speaking in the text having returned to this earth.

I am assuming you are SDA. The papacy and the Vatican will be destroyed in Revelation 17:16-19.

But the little horn of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 is not the papacy.

Fair point. Uprooted does not necessarily mean completely and utterly destroyed. However, for example, the Heruli had remnants that returned to Scandinavia, and others to the east to join the Gepids. The Ostrogoths also, although uprooted from the land, and forever ceased to be an independent nation, was literally decimated, with survivors never again to unite as the power they once were. The other 7 tribes of the 10, grew in statue and power and were the foundation of the modern nations of Europe.
Alemani- Germans

2. Franks - French

3. Burgundians - Swiss

4. Suevi - Portugese

5. Vandals - Extinct

6. Visigoths- Spanish

7. Saxons - English

8. Ostrogoths - Extinct

9. Lombards- Italy

10. Heruli - Extinct.

Your version of prophecy is similar to Hal Lindsay's version from the 1970s as revealed in his very popular but fanciful book, The Late Great Planet Earth. I read that many times, and accepted it as prophetic truth. Until I became an adventist and discovered what real prophetic truth is really about.
I notice you give others posts here no consideration. You don't accrual talk about them or discuss them, you just say, buy, that's wrong, meets what is really gonna happen... and you piece together bits and pieces from all over the place to support your preconceived ideas. For example...
But the little horn of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 is not the papacy.
You cast that horn into some vague ethereal distant future without any idea of the time involved or why there should be a gap of 2000 years in Daniel's prophecy...a gap that is not hinted at in scripture, and no reason to have one. Prophecy begins to be fulfilled from the time it's given. It then unravels through time until it's finished. No gaps.
Those two horns by the way are subtly different. The one in Daniel 7 is the papacy. It has to be. It can be nothing else. Nothing in the future, particularly some imaginary individual, can grow out of the head of a pagan empire that was defeated and finished 1500 years ago.
And the horn in Daniel 8 is pagan Rome, but during its dominion changed its nature from pagan to religious. One can recognise that in the propecy itself of you are looking closely enough and open to truth. History attests to that very fact, the change from pagan to nominal Christianity taking place over a period of time between the 4th century with Constantine, and 538ad with the defeat of the 3rd horn, the Ostrogoths. That's how prophecy is fulfilled and attested to. History. Not clairvoyance.

You are saying that the little horn of Daniel 7 is an office, position, drawn out over centuries of time, occupied by 266 individual popes across that time, centered in Rome.

I am saying the little horn is a singular end times person who goes through 5 stages before being broken... when Jesus returns to the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem.

The little horn in Daniel 7:24-25 is a "he" in the text, a person.

And the horn in Daniel 8 is pagan Rome, but during its dominion changed its nature from pagan to religious.
The little horn in Daniel 8:11 is a "he" in the text, a person.

Who are the beast and the false prophet in Revelation 19:20 ?

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
