As I said many times, the verses in 9:24-27 speak of the Messiah... the Messiah would arrive on the first day of the last week of the prophecy - meaning there was only 7 years left of the 490 years. The Messiah was cut off in the "midst" of the week or exactly 3.5 years into the last 7 years. These are the last 7 years. The 2300 days prophecy speaks to the Messiah and One of His fulfillments -it is ONLY as a result of the cross and His sacrifice as the Lamb of God that there would no longer be any need for any further animal sacrifices. He fulfilled this prophecy as the Perfect Sacrifice.I never said that there would be a 7 years tribulation period. The 7years are the 7year 70th week of Daniel 9:27.
This is not a complicated chart....

26“And after the sixty-two weeks (means the first day of the 70th week)
Messiah shall [j]be cut off, but not for Himself; (Jesus will be crucified)
And the people of the prince who is to come (the people of the prince are the Romans of pagan Rome. They will also become the "people of papal Rome (prince - small p) when pagan Rome is slain and its body is destroyed (7:11) and they come to full power).
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. (It is Titus of pagan Rome in 70 AD)
The end of it shall be with a flood, (Titus and his army will have no mercy - everything is destroyed)
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27Then he shall confirm a [k]covenant with many for one week; (Jesus will confirm the New Coveant -NOT for one week - that is a purposefully bad translation. He confirms the covenant DURING this last week - do you see the continuity here)
But in the middle of the week (exactly 3.5 years into the final 7 years).
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. (it is Jesus' sacrifice that put an end to the animal sacrifices - He is the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world)
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, (the abomination of desolation is indeed the cross. As a result of His people rejecting Him and then crucifying Him, He would "make desolate" Himself from them for the next 2000 years. Their punishment for this most abominable crime is to turn away from them and they would no longer have, Go access to His face. This is akin to the scene in Danielk when Nebuchadnezzar, symbolized by the tree that was cut down, would have a iron band on the top and a bronze band on the bottom. The bronze band signified that he would not be killed, while the iron band on top symbolized he would not have any access to God UNTIL he looked up and was heard to accept the one true God... Here in 9:27 God is telling us His people will pay this price for the entire "time of the Gentiles" and then, when they say., "He is the One we have pierced" just like Nebuchadnezzar, He will remove the symbolized iron band.
Even until the consummation, which is determined, (meaning, this will cotinue until the end of the times of the Gentiles is over and that is decreed by God).
Is poured out on the [l]desolate.” (of course this means His people)
Start looking for Jesus in this verses, you will find Him... the 2300 days speaks of Him and it was Jesus Himself who gave Daniel this time element not Gabriel - Gabriel did not know the timing of this... only God.
