This is false and i AGREE with the accuracy of Truth from the Holy Scripture which you replied with.

It is our Brother @IndianaRob who believes "the soul is the body".

Thus the questions that i presented.

Based on this evidence, what are the correct answers to the two questions?

Sorry about that, lol. I came in late.

I'm a little curious to hear his answer first!

I agree "the Spirit returns to God Who gave it" but what leads you to believe the "soul" goes to be with the Lord?

BTW - the Soul begins to exist when the Body and Spirit unite so it can't continue to exist when these disjoin.
The soul of man is what we would call our humanness IN OUR IMMATERIAL PART. iT IS OUR THINKING, FEELINGS, ABILITY TO RATIONALIZE ETC.ETC.ETC.

Only the saved have their spirit alive. Unsaved man is just a soul and body. Ephesians makes that clear. So we do not lose our personality when we are in heaven.

Now I cannot say definitively how it all works, but our spirit is that part that allows us to fellowship with god. Our soul is what makes us human and our bodies are the natural elements that houses soul and for the saved, the spirit as well.

1.) What is the MAIN/DIRECT subject being expressed by the Holy Spirit in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Cor chapter 15???

a.) Resurrection from the grave/earth

b.) the soul

2.) When JESUS says: "IAM the Resurrection"; What is HE immediately speaking of???

a.) the physical body that dies

b.) the soul
I can’t agree with that because it’s saying that the body must die in order for me to have eternal life and a glorified body instead of the soul dying to gain eternal life and a glorified body.

Wouldn’t you agree that’s exactly what Galatians 2:20 is telling us?

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

And above all of that, Paul told us in 1 Corinthians 15 that God giveth the BARE GRAIN an earthly body.

You don’t give an earthy body an earthly body. You seem like a very intelligent person, how does that make any sense?

This should be one of the easiest things in the Bible to understand. All you have to do is exchange the word “it” and the word “seed”for whatever you think it is.

1Co 15:38 But God giveth IT a body as it hath pleased him, and to every SEED his own body.

1Co 15:38 But God giveth THE BODY a body as it hath pleased him, and to every BODY his own body.
That makes zero sense.

1Co 15:38 But God giveth THE SOUL a body as it hath pleased him, and to every SOUL his own body.
Makes complete sense.

Can you agree with the Lord Jesus Christ?

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.

the LORD Jesus Christ is asking @IndianaRob = "Do you believe this?”

What in the grammar and sentence structure makes it a corporate meeting?
Everything? I don't know what you're reading, but you are missing something very obvious here for whatever reason.

1 Thess 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

How much more obvious can this be? It clearly says that after Jesus descends from heaven those who are alive and remain will be caught up TOGETHER with the resurrected dead in Christ to meet the Lord in the air. It clearly has them all corporately meeting Christ TOGETHER. If you can't see and understand that, then I'm not sure what you can understand because it doesn't get any more obvious than this.

You are CORRECT = and i NEVER stated nor implied this

Go back to Post #131 and SEE the following:
So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

I have eternal life and will never die. When it’s time for me to go home to be with the Lord I’m going to be CHANGED in the twinkling of an eye and caught up to meet the Lord in the air in a glorified body. That is exactly what Paul is talking about in 1 Thessalonians.

I don’t know why you’re asking this, that’s what I’ve been saying all along…. There is no such thing as the DEAD in Christ AFTER the cross.

The dead in Christ were the Old Testament saints that died in Christ in their sins because Christ had not paid for their sins when they died.

The dead in Christ rose with Christ, they were taken to heaven with Christ at his ascension.

The dead in Christ ONLY applies to those who died before Christ. There is no such thing as the dead in Christ AFTER the cross.

Your thought process here does not agree with the Gospel, 1 Thess chapter 4 or 1 Corinthians chapter 15.

We are ONLY changed and transformed at His Second Coming and the Resurrection.

1 Thessalonians was written many years after the Resurrection of Christ.
Of course it was after the resurrection of Christ. Paul is explaining how the translation takes place. The dead in Christ rise first with Christ then Paul and anyone after the resurrection of Christ will be caught up up to meet them in the air.

You’re waiting for a resurrection and second coming that has already happened.

The resurrection of Christ was the second coming.

Whoever has been telling you this is deeply confused.

Not a single Believer in Christ has been transformed yet because that only takes place at the Second Coming.

That is what the LORD says, the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John.

Read carefully the Holy Scriptures and NEVER add to them , take away from them or MIX them up!

SEE Here: 1 Corinthians 15:20-23

But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

Whoever told you this is a LIAR - run from that person or group.

"their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort,
who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past;
and they overthrow the faith of some."

You posted “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”

Is that verse talking about the resurrection of your dead body or is it talking about your soul passing from death to life because you accepted Christ?

It’s ironic that you brought this up because your error is the exact same error as Hymenaeus and Philetus.

They saw the dead bodies come out of the ground when Christ died. They saw them stand to their feet and walk the streets Jerusalem on the third day. They ASSUMED the resurrection was over and done with, in the past.

What they didn’t understand was that was just the BEGINNING of a perpetual resurrection of the SOUL.

That’s why Jesus said I am the resurrection.
