Dispensation theology is just a study of the relationship between God and man on this earth from creation until this earth is destroyed.
it tries to separate different ages into groups in order to help people look at a passage and help them to get historical context.
and example is the age of innocence. This is a time period between the creation of Adam until the fall.
another example is the church age. that is the current age that began at pentacost and will continue until the tribulation period begins.
Another is the age of Israel. Which includes the time from when Moses was given the law, Until the church age began.
I would need to research some pages to see what they are saying, I was taught this from when i was first saved at age 6 and have always believed it..
There must be more to it than this.
I think anyone would be able to agree that there are different periods such as the ones you mentioned.
So they give it a title, OK.
Don't bother going to deep into this ....
I think everything gets all mixed in together.
Like the Covenants....each one built on the previous one...
each one has teachings that may or may not become obsolete.
When I say THE CHURCH, I mean the general churches that people belong to.
Who knows what others may think I'm saying....
this is why I always say that it would be nice if we all spoke the same "language".
