well so you say, but i suggest that there is a more pertinent way to get that, less self-centered maybe, more inclusive of all times? And Jesus seemed to be plainly enough indicating to those standing there that it was their generation that would not pass away?

Or the Lord could've been referring to the generation of the righteous (as opposed to the generation of the wicked). Everyone born again of the Spirit of God is a first generation Christian (There are no second generation Christians, all that are born to flesh, must be born again.)
If you can accept that God is not the author of confusion, you should be able to accept that His use of language to express the spiritual is as constant as He is.

Nancy. The word/title Antichrist has a specific meaning, which essentially means instead of, or in place of Christ. In other words whatever power, whether individual or corporate (another discussion), that power is a counterfeit of Christ. If you're interested i can post a study from Revelation 13 that offers a highly detailed explanation as to how precisely the beast does indeed counterfeit the true Christ. This Nero did not do.

Agreed, there won't be any ambiguity. Everyone will be give the opportunity to worship the image of the beast. Those who do, are marked and released. Those who don't are executed. Those who do share Satan's fate.

In scripture the number 6 at times represents imperfection. The number of “the wild beast” is 666 and is called “a man’s number,” indicating that it has to do with imperfect, fallen man, and it seems to symbolize the imperfection of that which is represented by “the wild beast which is created and empowered by Satan."
The number six being emphasized to a third degree (the six appearing in the position of units, tens, and hundreds) therefore highlights the imperfection and deficiency of that which the beast represents, or pictures. Revelation 13:18

personally, i doubt it, but maybe; what do i know.
Jesus is for sure not the only one with the title of "Christ;" and it could easily be argued that He even usurped the title. We have attached a special significance to it now, but that was hardly the case then

i hope you understand that it is the Bible that tells me to doubt everything that you say that you know ok, nothing personal. You talk as if you were Yah, in absolutes, see, and "ill just make some statements here in satan's dialectic and then tack 'to God be the glory' on the end of it" i have to be wary of ok

well fwiw we are not allowed to buy or sell right now without paying a tax, in $ at least, theoretically anyway, not sure about the laws in other countries. But an "American" citizen is supposedly bound to pay income tax even on income earned outside the US, and sales tax on used goods bought from their neighbor

Here's the problem with that. The Scriptures say it is a physical mark. Specifically on the hand or forehead. So no, it is not a spiritual mark, it is physical because the scripture says that it is.

hand could easily = "everything they do"
forehead = "everything they think"

1. What is it that we use that controls financial transactions? -- A computer!!! That's right, just spit it out.

2. English is the world's language, so we use the English alphabet:

A = 6
B = 12
C = 18
D = 24
E = etc.​

3. Now add the letters: C O M P U T E R.

4. And don't change the system to calculate who the False Prophet (Second Beast) is, and sum the name of the world's most senior Jewish political statesman, -- and he's currently about 97 years old and still going.


And next, we'll discover that UPC barcodes have an embedded "6"/"6"/"6".
