18. Can satan deceive the nations while being bound and sealed in the pit?
Amillennialism sometimes teaches that "satan has deceived the nations from Adam onwards, but his power was limited by his being imprisoned in the Abyss by Jesus Christ." or something similar. Yet, Revelation 20:3 says he can "deceive the nations no more" until released.
Amillennialism teaches that satan has limited power to deceive the nations while bound and sealed in the pit but scripture states he has no power to deceive the nations at all. Not limited but absolutely unable. Amillennialism directly contradicts what the Holy Scripture says here.
Because you have a misunderstanding of the parable of the "strongman", you have a false conclusion of
how and
when satan
is being bound.
Matthew 12:29, Mark 3:27, Luke 11:21.
Read all three together, overlapping each other as one, then discern by the Lord's Holy Spirit, of what the words "house", "spoil", "goods" represent.
In Matthew 16:20-23, who was it that was speaking
through Peter?
For Peter, and the diciples, how did the situation
change after Pentecost? See Matthew 16:19
Secondly you also have a wild idea of what the
bottomless pit is. Here's a clue: a "pit" is a grave, and anything that is "bottomless", has no end.
Because satan has been cast/ thrown out of Heaven, and cannot return back into Heaven, this earth is his ONLY place of residence.
Therefore this earth is the place of
his endless death, aka his "bottomless pit".
Also, for every person who has faith in Jesus, and is a born again Christian, satan can not re-enter them ever again.
Why?
Ans. John 14:23
