A friend made an interesting statement the other night. He said that we are better off since Christ's death on the cross and his resurrection than Adam was prior to the fall.

I agree completely. Adam and Eve were created perfect by God, but were not born of God. They were sinless but not righteouss. They were earth bound but we now are heavenly located seated with Christ. With them in their perfect state it would always just be a matter of time before they would fall. For us in our redeemed state, having Christ's righteousness imputed to us, there will never be any chance of us being separated from God.Angelina said:

Perhaps one could look at this way: Was Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden, exactly what God was wanting them to be? Or, was it just the begining of His work of which the fall and redeemption were part of, to get them to a different place?Pelaides said:

I wonder why Jesus Christ was slain from the foundation of the earth if the Garden was all God wanted Adam and Eve to be?

Seems God had greater plans. Seem God really is God.

Its too bad God didn't give Eve a job.. She evidently had too much free time and wandered over to talk to the serpent. Eve trusted Satan more than God and Adam trusted his wife more than God.Pelaides said:

I believe we are better off. God came and went in the garden, to such a degree that his creation became lonely. He was forced to draw us near in order to save us, and we may near him forever. Revelation 7:15-17

God couldn't have done any less to prevent Adam's fall, but I don't blame God for it. He trusted man more than he should have, because it is in his loving nature to do so.
