The father of the lie

If I were to preach the Spirit of Truth, (which Jesus said would come in John 15:26, John 16:13,) is a single individual man figure yet to come in the future, you would probably think I was nuts; and rightly so!

But what’s equally odd to me is how soooo many people have been led to believe that the spirit of a lie; that was also prophesied to come, (and did come as is written); is now believed by so many to be a single individual flesh and blood man figure "yet to come" in the future, called “Antichrist.”

Many true prophets spoke by the Spirit of Christ which was in them (1 Peter 1:11). Just as many false prophets were forecast to speak by the spirit of antichrist (spirit of a lie) which was in them (1 John 2:18).

Both the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) and the spirit of a lie (spirit of the Devil or spirit of anti- christ) are spoken of as both “he” and “it” in scripture. Just as there is a Holy Triune in the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth), and there is also an unholy triune shown in the Dragon, the beast, and the false prophet spirit (or spirit of a lie, aka anti-christ spirit.)

And just as there is a Father of the Word, which is Truth: so also is there a father of the lie, which is the Devil. Jesus said of the Devil in John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Notice Jesus called the Devil the father of "it". This is an important clue, which I will get to in just a bit.
One point I want to make in this study is by comparing "spiritual things with spiritual" in the connection between the Spirit, and the mouth (or voice) given; symbolized also by the horn (or trumpet.) I also want to point out in this study is the connection between “it” which is the spirit of a lie, the anti christ spirit, the little horn and the tail of the Red Dragon found in many parts of scripture.

Just as God the Father is the Father of the Son and Spirit of Truth, or Spirit of Christ; by which the true prophets spoke by. The Old Serpent, or the Devil is the father of “it", or the spirit of a lie by which many false prophets would also speak by. (one spirit works in many)

First let’s go to the beginning to unravel this mystery, where we can find the mention of “it” bruising the head of the serpent in Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Notice the word bruise in the above verse is the strong’s number H7779. This word in the Hebrew is also shown as cover in Psalm 139:11 “If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover ( H7779) me; even the night shall be light about me.”

I believe this is also why Satan (the father of lies) is shown as the “covering cherub” working in man (Adam) as shown in Ezekiel 28:16; Because the lie tries to cover up the Truth, or darken the Light of the Truth in God’s words.

If our Father in heaven is the Father of the Light and of the children of the day, the Devil would be the opposite of that being the father of the children of the night and of darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:5)

Keep in mind the Prince of this world is Satan, and his spirit is also known as the spirit of this world as well, as shown in Ephesians 2:2 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

Also here in 1 John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”

Again notice John referred to the spirit of anti christ as “it”, and also notice John said "it" (anti christ spirit) was already in the world.

The anti-christ spirit is opposed to the Truth, as Christ is the Word of Truth, so to be anti christ is to be anti truth as well.
It, the spirit of a lie, is also known as “he” just as the Spirit of Truth is known as He in scripture as well.

This verse here shows the 2 opposing spirits called “he”in 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Notice “it” or “he” is in the world just as we saw "he" is also "in" the children of disobedience in Ephesians 2:2.

Also notice here Jesus said “it” is working in the peoples, such as kings and rulers of the world, who would seek a testimony from his disciples in Luke 21:13 “And "it" shall turn to you for a testimony.”

Now let’s prove this out further as to why the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth in John 14:17 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because "it" seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Again notice Jesus calls the spirit working in the world as "it".

This also confirms the He who is in us,(Spirit of Truth) and he that is "in" the world (spirit of a lie) as shown earlier. He, or “it” does not know the Spirit of Truth because no lie is of the Truth as shown here in 1 John 2:21 “I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.”

Again notice the anointing of the Holy Spirit is Truth and abides in us in 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”

OK, now that we have established that wicked spirit was, and is already in the world, and also in the children of disobedience. Let’s confirm how “it”, the spirit of the lie is the same tail of the Red Dragon, and spirit in the little horn, or “he”, and anti christ spirit that was prophesied to come, and confirmed as already in the world as we saw in (1 John 4:3)

Daniel 8:9-12 “And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.”

Notice “it” the spirit of a lie, or lies working in a host (many deceivers) would wax exceedingly great in the world, “it” the lie would also cast down the truth to the ground, and also notice “it” cast some of the host and stars to the ground. (symbolizing the fallen angels)

This will also help us make the connection to the tail of the red Dragon in Revelation 12:3-4 “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”

The tail symbolizes the false prophet spirit (spirit of anti-christ) that was prophesied to come and work in many deceivers as written ( 1 John 2:18, 2 John 1:7). This verse here confirms the sign of the tail being the false prophet spirit in Isaiah 9:15 “The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.”

Also we know no single flesh and blood man is physically able to cast the host and stars (angels) of heaven to the ground, but the Devil by the spirit of the lie, can, and did by way of deception. Revelation 12:9“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Just as “he” or “it” in the little horn that speaks, or anti christ spirit would also deceive the whole world and cast the truth to the ground as we saw in Daniel 8:11.

One might ask why the anti christ spirit is shown as a little horn. Horns in scripture often signify a show of strength like in a Prince or King, but they are also shown to signify a voice given by the spirit who controls “it”, be “it” of the Truth, or be "it"of the lie.

Notice here the horn has a voice in Daniel 7:11 “I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.”
This sign of the horn being given a "voice" is also shown in the horn of Israel being given an "opening of the mouth", or a voice in Ezekiel 29:21

The horns in scripture are also symbolized as trumpets, like in the story of the fall of Jericho you had 7 priests with 7 ram’s "horns", and in the book of Revelation we see 7 angels with 7 "trumpets". We also see the mention of the voices like the trumpet (horns) in scripture. Isaiah 58:1, Revelation 1:10, Revelation 4:1, Revelation 8:13.

I also believe the 7 voices like trumpets are symbolized on the Lamb of God with 7 horns in Revelation 5:6 “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”

The eyes represent how one sees, perceives, understands, and also how one interprets scripture as God’s Spirit gives us all these gifts, which all were prophesied to be in Jesus Christ as well. (Isaiah 11:2)

But the little horn also had eyes, but sees as a man sees (being carnally minded) but does not see as God sees (or spiritually minded). Notice here God is asked in Job 10:4 “Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?” And of course God does not see things as a man sees them.

But the spirit of this world causes men to see with eyes of flesh=judges by outward appearance, and is also carnally minded, only knowing what it knows naturally as a natural brute beast. Notice in Daniel 7:8….. behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”

So basically those who were given over to the spirit of this world would see with the eyes of "flesh", having the vail of the flesh covering their minds, or be carnally minded not believing in, perceiving, or understanding the spiritual things of God (1 Corinthians 2:14).

And those who are of their father the devil, and of his spirit, also being of the world would also speak great swelling words against the knowledge of God. These would also be opposed to the Truth, as they would also boast in their own carnal knowledge and understanding, much like many false teachers, false religions, false beliefs, even in man’s science (falsely so-called) that is being pushed today as "the truth", but is really lies.

All these would really be speaking lies dressed up like the truth, or they speak as a dragon even though they may look like a lamb outwardly by appearance, as shown in Revelation 13:11.

So we by our Father in heaven are given a mouth, or voice (horn) and wisdom (eyes to see and understand by the Holy Spirit) Jesus said in Luke 21:15 “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” Just as Jesus said we would speak with “new tongues” in Mark 16:17

But the father of this world would also give his disciples a tongue and a mouth full of lies and deceit by his lying spirit working in all them. And they also having their tongues set on fire of hell by the same spirit of the little horn, which as we saw earlier in Daniel that was also forecast to boast great things.

Now notice what James says here in James 3:4-8 “Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”

So just as by One Spirit we who are in One Body of Christ speak His words by the Spirit of Truth; so too those who are of the spirit of this world are enjoined together into one body of the Beast, and they speak lies by the spirit of their father the Devil.

The Red Dragon empowers the body of the scarlet colored Beast by his spirit giving it a mouth to many deceivers. Notice how the power is in the tongue…. Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

We who are of the Lamb of God have the testimony of Jesus Christ by the Spirit of Truth dwelling in us; His words spoken by us have the power to save life. But those who are empowered by the Red Dragon speak lies to deceive and lead many astray into Death, hell, and Destruction.

Notice the Dragon gives power to the sea Beast in… Revelation 13:2, Revelation 13:4
Notice in verse 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Another beast arises out of the earth, (false prophet image) and is given the same power as the first beast…Revelation 13:12 for he also spoke as a Dragon
He had power to give life (give a mouth) to prop up the (inward worldly) image of the beast….Revelation 13:15

Also ten kings receive power with the beast Revelation 17:12 and they in turn give their power (voice to speak the same lies) Revelation 17:13“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”

We see this power of lies working in every aspect of society today, from schools, to governments, in science and medicine, on television, and all over the internet. Truly lies are "practicing and prospering" as was written.
Jesus said that his disciples would receive “power” from on high in Luke 24:49, which power is also in His words of Life by the Spirit of Life.

We see in the Beast and Kings of the earth a unified way of thinking,(one mind) and also a unified voice to promote their false doctrine which would also make war with the doctrine of the Lamb.

But we know by the words of God who wins the war in the end. Revelation 17:14 “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
