those words regarding the flesh of that (this, Jesus') generation who were still to be baptized with water symbolizing being born of women.

Why in the world would there be a need to "symbolize" being born of a woman, when EVERYONE on the PLANET has done this in reality!

The Water is water baptism, symbolizing buried with Christ into his death...

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:"

It's not a symbol.

It simply establishes the need to be born again of the Spirit.

You're not hearing it...

What is it that dies? ...That which is born of water, that which is born of women...flesh and blood.

But, yes, Christ was raise up from the dead by the glory of the Father...whom is spirit.

Therefore, we must be born of water, and also of the Spirit...according to the scriptures: "the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual."

You said, "were still to be baptized with water symbolizing being born of women."

Now you say it is not a symbol.

You should take your own advise.

The apostles and disciples to whom Jesus spoke, were the start of the church of which we are also included, if we are also born of the same Spirit. If we follow Him...we also are His disciples.
We cannot deviate even a teency bit from the NT scriptures, correct?

That is correct. But in and of itself water baptism can do nothing but point to the actual baptism of being washed clean in the Spirit with Christ. We do this for the sake of spreading the gospel.

This is your position...

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water(the Spirit) and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The normal sequence is
Believe and repent.
Be baptised (with water)
In that baptism your sins are forgiven, the Holy Spirit renews you and you enter into the Church, into the New Covenant.

So called "Baptism with the Holy Spirit" is a separate action and has a different purpose.
Actually, are fully saved and justified moment receive Jesus thru faith, and water baptism done afterwards, as a public declaration of now being saved by Him!

Tongues follows the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

The baptism of the Holy Ghost comes through a praise from our inner being.

First repent, then when we finish repenting, ask God to fill you with the Holy Ghost, then begin to praise Him until you feel the power that Jesus spoke of in Acts 1 come upon you per Acts 2.

At that moment in your life, you will be in unison with the Acts 2 church.

After that happens, you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins per verse 38.

You can only be added to the church via water baptism per Acts 2:38-41....

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
NO second act of grace, as all saved are baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ and his body moment saved, and tongues not for today!

Aye...there is water for the flesh but then again and there is Water...

"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" John 4:13-14

"And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb." Rev 22:1

Tongues are defined by Paul as our human spirit praying(1 Cor 14).

Your human spirit does not pray to God?

Mkay.

One should be concerned about making sure that he is Baptized “ Into The Body Of Christ”.....lacking “ that” baptism you are Lost.....Water Baptism is a Symbolic Rite for those already Saved....

“These Gentiles have received the Holy Spirit just like we did ( if you have that Spirit you are Saved) who would forbid them water for Baptism”.....( Acts 10:37)

It should be obvious.....they were Fully Saved before they were baptized simply because they had “ changed their minds” ( Repented) about who Jesus was and Believed the Good News That was preached.........that gave them the Holy Spirit and then they were baptized as an act of Obedience —- Belief That Saves comes first and baptism follows as an outward illustration of an inward miracle....

But you don't have understanding. You have contradicted yourself.

No, you have misunderstood me.

There is water baptism which symbolizes being born of water/women/flesh and blood, and is a foreshadowing that points to being crucified and raised up with Christ...which is the baptism of Christ, having been born again of the Spirit of God.

Which the apostle Paul confirmed is the way of Christ, saying, "first the natural, but afterward the spiritual."

If baptism is for those already saved then per Romans 6, we are buried alive with Christ.

Scary stuff being taught these days.

True.....Anything that goes beyond what the old Hymn says... “ NOTHING but the Blood Of Jesus” for Salvation is in very “ scary” territory .....Church-goers Sing it mindlessly week after week .....if they ever took the time to think about what they were singing, they would be outraged! 90% of the Church- World INSISTS on Adding to the Gospel with some kind of work....They are “ Fallen From Grace” and don't even understand what that designation means ( See Gal:5 ) ......

It’s alway the same old story—— they say , “ Sure, Jesus Saves.....But once you know “ that” ya gotta go to church every Sunday.....or ya gotta tithe .....or you gotta repent from all of your sins before you die.....or ya gotta refrain from willful Sinning or ya gotta get Baptized in water....the list is endless depending on how weak or Legalistic the Gospel perverter is.....the song REALLY DOES have it right—- it really *IS* NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD......I can understand the confusion over water baptism , but it’s for the Saved Believer, as I proved in my previous post....Get baptized by all means! Just don’t be “ confused” about it....Water doesn’t save—-Sacrificial Blood From the One Without sin does....all you have to do is to Believe that....

Folks can sing about the blood until they are blue in the face, but if the do not obey Acts 2:38, the blood is not applicable to them.

They are bloodless "believers", trying to believe their way into finding remission of sins without obeying Acts 2:38.

It is a separatist movement against Peter, led by modernists.

Acts skippers on a massive scale trying to start their own "church".

They think being different than the 3000 at Pentecost is cool and progressive, but it is really terrible and they are only fooling themselves.

Here’s One “ Acts Skipper “ for you—- His name is Jesus.....”:Since they were unable to get to Jesus because of the crowd, they tore a hole in the roof above Him and lowered the paralyzed man before Him......when Jesus saw their FAITH, he said to the paralytic, ”Son , your SINS ARE FORGIVEN”.....Do you see Jesus or anybody else asking for some water so that this guy can be baptized before his sins are forgiven...Yeah, I thought not.....It’s Faith in Jesus PLUS NOTHING ! You have just seen the proof of that...... you’re welcome ....
