The building of the temple and the paths . That was all about JESUS and the gospel and going out to the gentiles as well .

In other words they keep looking for a physical building and some kind of end time awakening .
When in truth the only thing i ever read in the bible says , Great falling away , and etc .
The outpouring of the HOLY GHOST began on the glorious day of pentecost and has continued ever since .
And we cling to heavenly jerusalem , the city of GOD , wherein the TEMPLE OF said city is GOD and the Lamb .
Now pull those gospel boots on , cause we in a massive battle . It is the one true gospel of Christ
verses the ever growing all inclusive go spell of a lie birthed in darkness and shall end at the second death .

Tongues follows the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

The baptism of the Holy Ghost comes through a praise from our inner being.

First repent, then when we finish repenting, ask God to fill you with the Holy Ghost, then begin to praise Him until you feel the power that Jesus spoke of in Acts 1 come upon you per Acts 2.

At that moment in your life, you will be in unison with the Acts 2 church.

After that happens, you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins per verse 38.

You can only be added to the church via water baptism per Acts 2:38-41....

These were only foreshadowings.

The apostle Paul ("line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little") elaborated to say, "the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual."

"For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits."

So, no, the early church did not get it right...and sadly, the church has only promoted those things he counselled against and made a desert out of what might have been a fruitful field.

It looks like you are saying Jesus goofed when he told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

And Mark 16:16 says, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Paul wrote to the Romans saying, "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

I’m sure you are disappointment as you obviously feed on contention. Do you have a problem with the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19? Do you believe that Romans 6:3-5 some how negates Matthew 28:19?
