Molestation and rape are violent crimes. Propensity towards violence or crime is not affected by castration, Phoneman.

Castration was historically used to protect property. Thankfully, women and children are no longer considered property by the majority of our society

The effects of castration on males, whether human or animal, includes marked reduction of interest in sexual behavior and milder temperament. Therefore, a pedophile priest who undergoes castration should expect to become far less preoccupied with rape of and violent crimes against children, which would hopefully result in a preoccupation with the Scriptures, that he might discover the truth about salvation by grace through faith, not through an illegitimate papal priesthood.

You've been reading far too much literature from the American Kennel Association. People are not animals. Our minds work entirely different.

The problem comes when certain people stand against something...
That is not the Good News, so it is not The Gospel of the Kingdom.
BG, Christians who spend all their time fault finding and criticizing others are certainly harmful to the cause of Christ, but so is that brand of Christianity which tolerates anything and everything EXCEPT any voices who cry out against sin.

The Spirit of Christ commands us to "earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints" - the enemy of which is false faith which tells people that a sinful priest is necessary for them to obtain forgiveness, though the Bible declares in no uncertain terms that there is "one mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus.". Also, we are to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them" which, again, includes calling out Satanic error.

You are making a false equivalent. My position - proven both empirically and by historic field practice - that castration has the same physiological effect on both humans and animals is no more a claim by me that "people are animals" than if I said antibiotics have the same effect on both or that a low fat diet has the same effect on both. I've given you several opportunities to prove yourself a Christian, but your constant sarcastic, condescending attitude has proved you otherwise, and if I wanted to argue with rude pagans, I'd have not bothered joining CB. Have a blessed day, sir.

I don't like tracts at all. But if people are plainly telling us that they were saved through reading those tracts, I have to admit that I am appalled at the prejudicial censorship of actually removing a link to what they told us was instrumental in their Salvation. How on Earth do we justify that kind of bias?

Good question. I thought that Freedom of Speech would be paramount at a Christian Forum, barring filth and hate, of course.

So what if I were saved at Westboro Baptist? This is a serious question. Should I post the link?

Well, not too many would be able to visit, geographically not close, but it should be posted with a testimony (if relevant to thread) and a link, and people should be able to look it over and decide for themselves.

Amen. It is not in full context, but these here are the "God Honest Truth." It references Scripture and tells the reader the Biblical Truth. Jesus suffered immensely, died and was buried, then rose again to Save us from that.

Your Catholic bashing has no source.
Richard Sipe is an angry ex-priest and a liar.
Richard Sipe EXPOSED : Ex-priest has history of dubious facts : A.W. Richard Sipe
Thomas Doyle is a dissident and a psychotic bigot.
THE WAR AGAINST CARDINAL PELL

So much for your reliable sources.
Scripture is clear that action against a dissident is to be avoided, seeing that if he is not from God then his message will fade away and if he is from God, who is so foolish to oppose one from Whom he is sent?

As expected, papists ignore the Scriptures on this issue as they do in the cases of all the other issues. Their immediate response is to assassinate a dissident's character or silence him by any means. No wonder that Hitler modeled his SS agency after the tactics of the Jesuits. I'm happy you didn't live during those periods when opposing popes simultaneously contended for the papal throne, each claiming the other to be an emissary of Satan. The cognitive dissonance of regarding both popes as simultaneously sent from God would've been too much for you to bear.

Hi Tammy, it's important to remember that liberal snowflakes inside the church are identical to those outside - the suffer from "Control Freak Syndrome" which, if you think about it, traces its roots all the way back to Satan himself, the OG control freak since time immemorial.

I have a very serious interest in some of this.

I happen to think a lot of one particular teacher, and if it were not for their tapes getting me through a tough time, it is likely I would have killed myself. Now, you may feel as strongly about some other teacher or teaching.

Should I report you for pointing the way to your valued teacher if I don't feel the same way about them as you do?

i was a bit taken aback by that symbol, too. LOL
I don't think the site is hijacked. Pretty much anything is allowed here, except for vulgarity or unChristlike discourse. But, I do feel they tolerate Catholic ideology too much. The doctrines of Catholicism are truly evil and a clear and present threat to the kingdom of God.

Yes, that is why so many millions of "victims" are coming forward with their allegations they've been physically and sexually abused by Protestant leaders as so many countless victims of the Satanic, Luciferian Antichrist system that is the Papacy have come forward, right? Or, how Protestant General Conferences are paying out literally fortunes in "hush money" like the Papacy has paid out, right?

Billy Graham was a 33 degree Mason, a fan of the "Christianized" New Age theology of the likes of Peale, Shuller, Copeland, Warren, Hybels, etc., and a Catholic sympathizer who stood in a Catholic church and declared "the gospel that is preached here is the SAME gospel I preach", so it's no wonder the we should see published propagandist fodder like this so that the misery of the RCC can have some company.

1985? Wow, you are so up-to-date. Guess what phoneman. The sex abuse crisis in the Catholic Church ended, it fizzled out some 20 years ago. But you don't care about that, and you don't care that the sex abuse crisis has never stopped in your church; you don't get the same media attention. (Personally, I think you are a pervert that likes to scare children)

When the Boston Globe sent the nation reeling in 2002 with revelations of priestly sexual abuse, and the attendant cover-up, Catholics were outraged by the level of betrayal. This certainly included the Catholic League. The scandal cannot be denied. What is being denied, however, is the existence of another scandal—the relentless effort to keep the abuse crisis alive, and the deliberate refusal to come to grips with its origins. Both scandals deserve our attention.

"...virtually all the stories were about accusations against priests dating back decades, sometimes as long as a half-century ago. Keep in mind that not only were most of the priests old and infirm, many were dead; thus, only one side of the story could be told. Adding to our anger was the fact that no other institution, religious or secular, was being targeted for old allegations.”

“...it seemed as if ‘repressed memories’ surfaced with alacrity, but only among those who claimed they were abused by a priest. That there was no similar explosion of ‘repressed memories’ on the part of those who were molested by ministers, rabbis, teachers, psychologists, athletic coaches, and others, made us wonder what was going on.”

The steeple-chasing lawyers and professional victims’ organizations had a vested economic interest in keeping the scandal alive; the former made hundreds of millions and they, in turn, lavishly greased the latter. But it wasn’t money that motivated the media and Hollywood elites to keep the story alive—it was ideology...
note phonemans' ideology.

Commentary by those associated with “Spotlight,” as well as movie reviewers and pundits, are feeding this impression. But the data show that the conventional wisdom is wrong. The fact of the matter is that the sexual abuse of minors by priests has long ceased to be an institutional problem. All of these parties—Catholics, the American public, the media, and Hollywood—entertain a view that is not supported by the evidence. “Spotlight” will only add to the propaganda...

...So it is indisputable that the Boston Globe “Spotlight” team knew that it was homosexuality, not pedophilia, that drove the scandal. Yet that is not what is being reported today. Indeed, as recently as November 1, 2015, a staff reporter for the Boston Globe said the movie was about “the pedophile priest crisis.” This flies in the face of the evidence.

"..There is no doubt that the Boston Globe “Spotlight” team deserved a Pulitzer Prize for exposing Scandal I. Regrettably, there will be no Pulitzer for exposing Scandal II.
SHINING THE LIGHT ON "SPOTLIGHT"
Oh, please. Hollywood is no friend of "Phoneman's theology" which I proudly profess to be in succession of Protestant Reformation "Historicism" - Hollywood is a tremendous supporter of insider elite Catholic leadership ideology, both of which are DEVIL WORSHIP. Ritualistic abuse of children is just as much a part of Hollywood culture as it is RCC culture. I'll leave it to others to conclude my estimation of epostle1's ideology.

80% of all sex scandals involve homosexuals, why do you cover for them with a mis-label of pedophilia, phonyman? Sex with teenagers is not pedophilia, it's called homosexuality. Looks like you are covering up for them.
epostle 1, there's nothing "phony" about me - for I know the Christ of the Bible, not the false Christ, Antichrist, Prince of Pedophiles enthroned in Saint Peter's Basilica. You said "Sex with teenagers is NOT pedophilia."
#1- You appear to be a pedophilia sympathizer, so please do not approach within 50 feet of my teenage daughter.

#2- It is YOU who are covering up for the crimes of the Papacy and there is no defense for the indefensible.

Have you seen Ray Comfort's "180"? Ray's street-preaching at its best!
