Ouch!!
You are probably too young to have ever watched MASH...I LOVED the "priest". :)
In many wars, when people were on their death beds...they were very happy to have a priest by their side.
God can, and will use anyone to bring them to Himself.

Just saying. :)

WOW, that was quite a show. I haven't watched that in years, but I remember...I have to ask here: now what do you think God thinks of that show/contents? Including Jamie Farr's character, or "Hot Lips Houlihan?"

I firmly believe and have been shown that God has a sense of humor...but...I don't think He may have agreed with much of that show (same with a lot of TV shows, and movies, over the last few decades, or so.)

So, what

Excuse me, sir, it is a historical FACT that castration was used as an anaphrodisiac in both humans and animals to prevent overpopulation/unwanted sexual behavior. Please do a little reading up on the subject before you make such condescending remarks, thank you.

Molestation and rape are violent crimes. Propensity towards violence or crime is not affected by castration, Phoneman.

Castration was historically used to protect property. Thankfully, women and children are no longer considered property by the majority of our society

I cherish those tracts. They convicted me as a child...and I kept those ones, and ordered more years later.

Gave some out, or left them places, but I like to read them over and over and over. They sometimes bring tears to my eyes.

You can read them all here, and order them here:

Hello there
And welcome to the forum...I haven't posted to you before. :)

Personally I don't think that God thought twice about MASH...or any other show come to that. I think He looks the other way, tapping His toes just waiting until we are done, and He can get our attention once again. :D

( not that I believe that God has finger and toes. LOL )

I'm not familiar with "Romanist sprinkling".
What is that??

As for your FIRST question - God "get's" people saved by the Blood of His Son, Jesus.

When they take that microphone-looking thing and shake it repeatedly, and "holy water" comes sprinkling out, but there is also what ever is used to pour a little water on babies for baptism- which is not a full-immersion baptism made in front of witnesses by the poor little babies' conscience choice, but decided for them.

And the Church of England does just the same...without the "microphone thingy." But, I don't think God loses any sleep over it!
It's just the silly humans who do that..

In my 57 years of walking with the Lord, I have done and believed many stupid things...but " He knows that we are but dust..."

Bless you...H

Link reported to whom or what purpose? (I DID have an inkling this would happen, to be honest).

I have no connection to Jack Chick and am not affiliated in any way, shape, or form to his organization...I cannot earn any $$$, nor would I want to, for including this link.

Did you "report" the links to the movies on this thread (or is it the other catholic thread?) as well?

Are there anti-Christians on this forum? Is this not a Christian forum?

Yes, hello, and thanks for the message.

How did people live down through the many ages without screens to gaze at?

What also comes to mind:
Yes, the enemy can be clever in creating distractions to Bible study, fasting and praying, "praying without ceasing," worship and praise time, and also- we are to be careful about what we set before our eyes.

I just cannot BELIEVE what TV and movies evolved into over the years!

I will have to agree with @aspen Jack Chick was inflammatory...you will get just as many hot debates between None Catholics about his stuff.
Myself being one of them...ha!!
I saw/read them back in the sixties...but I could never ever feel any Love Of God , in anything that he wrote.

So I am a thumbs down on Jack Chick.
Which will probably cause a great breach between @Rollo Tamasi here and myself... :D he is a lover of J.C. and I am totally against him.

Time will tell.

You will see a Report button on the bottom left of all our posts.
When someone reports a post...it is shown to the Moderators , they will look at the post and decide whether to delete the link ( not the post) if they feel it is offensive to some.

No biggy. Aspen was just drawing attention for moderation. It happens once in a while.

Do you feel sorry for all the little babies who are forced to speak the language of their parents? You know, their parents are choosing the very language they will most likely speak for the rest of their lives! An outrage, indeed....

Religion is the language we speak with God

I wish that you would pray to be shown the truth, and humbly research things in a different Light.
I already have, Tammy.

9 of my 12 siblings left the Church and did their best to drag me out with them. They left because of ignorance. They didn't know their Catholic faith and chose not to do anything about it. They were perfect targets for the feel good, easy-believism of Evangelical Protestantism.

That's too bad because along with a little bit of truth they contained - they contained even more lies, myths and fairy tales.

I don't like tracts at all. But if people are plainly telling us that they were saved through reading those tracts, I have to admit that I am appalled at the prejudicial censorship of actually removing a link to what they told us was instrumental in their Salvation. How on Earth do we justify that kind of bias?

The thing is..it is not always a case of what someone stands for...that is the problem. No problem when the Good News is shared, and even better when it leads people to the Lord.
The problem comes when certain people stand against something...
That is not the Good News, so it is not The Gospel of the Kingdom.

Some ( as we see on this Site even) spend much more time and energy in standing against than they do in sharing what they stand for.
I do not find that pattern laid out for us to follow in the NT...

So what if I were saved at Westboro Baptist? This is a serious question. Should I post the link?
