Yes you have described a historical event that appears to put all of the ducks in a row to confirm that the trampling of God's sanctuary and his earthly hosts occurred around 160 BC but Paul and even Jesus hinted that the Maccabee uprising was not the fulfilment of the Daniel 8 prophecy concerning the trampling of God's sanctuary and his earthly hosts.

Antiochus died in 164 BC so it was before that.

The next Jewish revolt was when Titus destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD.

I think should be focusing on Daniel 7 seeing as it is about our end times. I can't help but wonder if North America is one of the three horns that disappears.

I believe Paul understands that mankind is made of body + spirit and the two became a "living soul". Scripture often uses soul to speak of living, breathing beings. Because where life exists there exists a living soul.

I believe 1 Thess. 5:23 would be worded differently then.

Our enlightened minds when we are born again of Christ's Spirit are first given to understand the Gospel of Christ. This through the message about Christ and the power of His Spirit opening our minds and hearts so that we can know/believe with spiritual eyes and ears that we have been born again. After re-birth we have been taken from spiritual death/darkness to spiritual life/Light, and now have a desire for Christ and seek to know Him more and more. The more we seek for Christ through His Word, the more spiritual understanding we will have. If we seek Him with all our hearts, minds and souls, that is with both new spirit and life, we will find Him and come to a closer, and more meaningful relationship with our Lord through prayer and study.
I don’t assume...there was nothing biblical in your post.

Post scripture to support what you are saying...then interpret what it means?

Only the word of God speaks to my heart....not what you believe a Born Again and how one becomes Born again by your own standard.

Repeat....there was nothing scriptural in your quoted post to me...just opinion and your own understanding.

Our enlightened minds when we are born again of Christ...is NOT scriptural.

God makes much better sense of his word than we ever can.

John 3:1-21

English Standard Version

You Must Be Born Again

3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.[c] 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You[d] must be born again.’ 8 The wind[e] blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9 Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” 10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you[f] do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.[g] 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

God also says.

Fair enough, if we don't include Scripture to prove what we believe, then it can be assumed that we have presented only our opinion.

How does our mind become enlightened by the Spirit? According to what is written this enlightenment comes according to grace through faith by hearing the Word of God in the power of His Spirit. When we are first saved we are babes in Christ, not yet able to rightly discern the Bible, because for spiritual understanding to come to mature faith, we are to STUDY the Word of God. What would you call having our minds enlightened if NOT by being born again? After saying this you post passages from Scripture that prove we must be born again both to know and enter the Kingdom of God.

Romans 1:16 (KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Colossians 2:13 (KJV) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Acts 26:18 (KJV) To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:1 (KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Hebrews 5:13-14 (KJV) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age [of mature faith], even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I believe 1 Thess. 5:23 would be worded differently then.

After telling us how God will sanctify us WHOLLY, that is our whole or complete spirit (complete or whole; mind, heart, will and emotions) and soul (complete or whole life) and your body (shall be resurrected immortal & incorruptible) by committin our lives to the doctrine of Paul from the Holy Scriptures.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-28 (KJV) Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us. Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. The first epistle unto the Thessalonians was written from Athens.

Part of our nature is our mind, and distinctly different is the emotions of our heart. Therefore, our mind/spirit is separate from our heart/conscience/soul. These two make up our nature inside of our body. It is our nature consisting of our spirit and soul that is born again and cleansed of all unrighteousness. They were crucified with Christ and have been raised in Christ's resurrection. Our body is neutral so doesn't have to die yet for us to be sinless or perfect.

Previously I said this:-
But since I do not put people on ignore when they put forward false argument such as you did, I will have to live with your response to this post as well.

Seems like it is applicable here as well. Your understanding of God's Prophetic words and their fulfilment is wanting to say the least.

Have a good day now.

Good Bye

Why must we be Born Again to understand God’s “ Living “ word?

You know God’s word is “ ALIVE”....how would we know God’s word is Alive?

Part of our nature is our mind, and distinctly different is the emotions of our heart. Therefore, our mind/spirit is separate from our heart/conscience/soul. These two make up our nature inside of our body. It is our nature consisting of our spirit and soul that is born again and cleansed of all unrighteousness. They were crucified with Christ and have been raised in Christ's resurrection. Our body is neutral so doesn't have to die yet for us to be sinless or perfect.

The conscience of man and the reactions from the mind of our heart or conscience comes from spirit directing within. Before being born again the spirit in man is natural or of the earth, and spiritually "dead in trespasses and sins". For this reason, we must be born again of the Spirit of Christ and quickened or made spiritually alive. Until the moment we are born again, our spirit, which is who we are, can only know that which comes naturally to fallen mankind.

Our body is the vehicle that houses the spirit of man (mind, heart, will, emotions, all come from spirit, which we are inside our body of flesh & bone), and together we (body + spirit) alive are "living souls." Our nature consists of body + spirit and together living souls. As I've already said wherever life exists for humanity that life is a living soul. The natural man (spirit) chooses that which comes naturally to them. When dead in trespasses and sins, that which is natural has no understanding nor desire for Christ. For mankind to know Christ that which came natural must be supernaturally changed from being dead in trespasses and sins to being alive in Christ through His Spirit in us. When this supernatural change of our spirit takes place, we have ETERNAL life through our spirit, but our body will still die. Christ gives us assurance of this when He says:

John 11:26 (KJV) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Our body of flesh & bone will not live forever, only our supernaturally changed spirit will. When our body breathes its last, our spirit ascends alive to heaven, where Christ is, a spiritual body of believers still called "living souls." It is our spirit a living soul that shall return with Christ when the last trumpet sounds. Then our eternal spirit will once again give life (soul) to our resurrected immortal & incorruptible body and we will once again be complete living soul with both body + spirit.

That which is raised up when our physical body dies is not whole, but "bare grain" that will become full when reunited with immortal body.

1 Corinthians 15:35-38 (KJV) But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

When our natural body dies, we are raised a spiritual body. Because there is both a natural physical body destined to die, and a natural or supernatural human spirit that we are. Paul tells us there is a natural body of flesh & blood and a spiritual body of believers. First we are natural with flesh & blood made for the earth, and in death we are supernaturally spiritual body of believers belonging to heaven. Paul would not say there is a natural body (flesh + spirit - living soul) AND there is a spiritual body (spirit - living soul) destined for heaven until the seventh trumpet sounds that time given this earth shall be no longer (Rev 10:5-7).

1 Corinthians 15:44-50 (KJV) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

After death the part of man that returns to God who gave it is the spirit. The body returns to dust and the spirit which man is returns to God where spiritually alive body of believers still alive are living souls. Because wherever life is found that life is living soul. One earth a living body + spirit = living soul, and in heaven a living spirit = living soul.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The spirit alive in Christ returns to God a living soul because our spirit is US.

God speaks/ testifies with our heart....not our mind...when he speaks / testifies with our heart/ spirit , it is then relayed to
our minds....my opinion.

I'm glad you say "my opinion"! Without having a mind/brain our heart ceases to function. You have it backwards. The Word preached speaks to us (spirit) through our mind and if we believe the Gospel we get a new heart that yearns from the mind to the heart to know Christ better. We can only believe what we HEAR which hearing comes from our brain/mind/spirit of which we are.

Christ says what we speak comes from the abundance of our heart. Our heart has no ability to think good or evil without spirit/mind directing it. To have good flowing from our hearts, we must first have the Spirit of Christ within changing our natural spirit supernaturally by giving us ears to hear and eyes that can see/understand the Gospel.

Matthew 12:34 (KJV) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

In life mankind is body + spirit = living souls. When our body physically dies it becomes a corpse. If we die in Christ our spirit continues to be a living soul without a physical body of death. That's why Paul longed to be rid of his body of death, so that he/spirit/living soul could be with the Lord in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:1-8 (KJV) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions.

Your 'spirit' is the life, is the real you, that never dies, and if not born again, will go where these go.

John 3:36

So......To be born again, is 2 things..

1.) all your sin has to be forgiven, as God can't join you to Himself, if you have sin.

Christ came to die for our SIN, so that its ALL resolved. by the "ONE TIME..... Eternal Sacrifice of Jesus for sin"" = on the Cross.

And once this is resolved, then God can now give your spirit the "new birth", which is to become "one with God", "in Christ", as a "new Creation".... = BORN..... again. = Spiritually.

I deleted my post to you, because quite frankly, I haven’t a clue what you are talking about.

@Behold is the one I understand through the Spirit.
...you and I are most definitely not on the same wavelength....when it comes to understanding.....Born Again/ Spirit gives birth to spirit.....
Therefore have asked him to help you understand what it means to be Born Again....he has more patience than I, plus he is a minister....I’m not.

His teaching can’t be faulted, when it comes to the Spiritual birth....God Bless.

Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions.

Your soul is body + spirit = living soul. What we are inhabited by flesh is spirit, which is to have a mind/heart/will/emotions. As spirit is the control center of everything we think or do. Our spirit controls through our mind and body functions every action or inaction we can think or perceive of.

A soul is what our living breathing body with spirit is.
Your 'spirit' is the life, is the real you, that never dies, and if not born again, will go where these go.

John 3:36

We, you, me and every human being is spirit wrapped in human flesh and bone. And together with a living body and spirit is a living soul. I really don't get why this is so difficult for you and others to understand?

I deleted my post to you, because quite frankly, I haven’t a clue what you are talking about.

@Behold is the one I understand through the Spirit.
...you and I are most definitely not on the same wavelength....when it comes to understanding.....Born Again/ Spirit gives birth to spirit.....
Therefore have asked him to help you understand what it means to be Born Again....he has more patience than I, plus he is a minister....I’m not.

His teaching can’t be faulted, when it comes to the Spiritual birth....God Bless.

Yes, I now understand how limited your understanding of Biblical doctrine truly is. I appreciate you praying that God would help me to understand what it means to be born again, but I'm afraid you are too late because I have biblical understanding of being born again. I too shall pray that God may open your eyes that you might know how the body + spirit = a living soul. Sadly what you understand from Behold shows that you will follow the opinions of man even though you say you do not!

As spirit is the control center of everything we think or do.

You think with your mind.

You discern with your spirit.

"The word of God is spiritually discerned" not mentally (mind) understood.

Spiritual understanding is revelation knowledge that is CHRIST in the Born Again, delivering spiritual understanding.

I teach, but i dont cause the revelation to manifest.
God does that as Christ in the person, revealing it, to the "spiritual eyes, of your understanding".

That is all INNER, and not Mind.

The mind reads the words, but the born again spirit gets the revelation from the Holy Spirit.

God REVEALS His word., and that is not a "mind" thing....that is a spiritual understanding that is revelation knowledge.

A soul is what our living breathing body with spirit is.

Your soul is your mind will and emotions.

Your body is dying and they will bury it or cremate it.

Your spirit, is the real you.......that is born again...or not,/..and that is going to exist after you die, somewhere, for eternity.

If you are born again, then you will get a new body that is designed to contain the real you, that is the born again Spirit.

If you are just water baptized and religious, then you will die in your sin, and your spirit will leave your body and find Hell , instantly.

And, you can't be born again in Hell.

You don’t need biblical understanding to be birthed in the Spirit...you know that right?

God’s word is Alive and Active.....

I follow the word of God, not Behold...and Behold speaks God’s truth.

You just ramble on in your own understanding and strength....imo.

Have I questioned or disagreed with this?

Could you provide Scriptural proof texts that tell us our soul is our mind? What I find throughout Scripture is that where 'soul' is mentioned, it is reference to a living breathing being. The only exception is when Scripture says the faithful are "living souls" in heaven after death and are as the angels of God in heaven that are spirit beings.

If our soul is our mind why does Christ make a distinction between mind and soul in these verses? I believe He makes this distinction because He is saying that believers shall love the Lord thy God with all our heart (spirit) and all our life (soul) and with all our mind. IOW with everything within believers we are called to love the Lord thy God unconditionally until we breathe our last.

Matthew 22:37 (KJV) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mark 12:30 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Luke 10:27 (KJV) And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

You do need to hear the Word (Gospel) to receive faith to believe. Even the devils believe in God. And their faith (believing) leaves them trembling.

Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

James 2:19 (KJV) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
