Thanks for the clarification.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bob Utley [online-his team] and have been impacted by his teaching and preaching style. He emphasizes solid exegesis and careful interpretation, which I greatly appreciate.
My apologies for the mess, I have accidentally "cut" instead of hitting the reply button-must be tired.
Shalom to you and family.

No. Jack is my Bible teacher, and I have known him for just shy of 40 years. (Memory is shot :) ) My high school friends and I drove up to Palo Alto to attend "Body Life" at Peninsula Bible Church. Jack came to Oregon to form McKenzie Study Center and to start Gutenberg College, and now he teaches at Reformation Fellowship. Jack's teaching is on his site called "Sound Interpretation Project."

I don’t know what you mean, I don’t think anything is future.
Okay, so here's the issue and its why I asked you to read it carefully.

Remember God hides wisdom and we need to ask the right questions to arrive at the right answers.

I will give you (Israel) leaders (teachers) who will be faithful to me. Je 3:15.

Who are these people?

They (Who?) will lead you with knowledge and insight.

Who are these people?

3:16 In those days (When Indiana?), your population will greatly increase in the land. At that time,” says the Lord, “people will no longer talk about having the ark that contains the Lord’s covenant with us. They will not call it to mind, remember it, or miss it. No, that will not be done any more! Je 3:15–16.

Why won't they talk about the ark that contains the covenant?
Why won't they remember or even bring these things to mind?

Those verses are about the Jews (some of them) entering into the kingdom of God (Heavenly Jerusalem) 2000 years ago.

This is the future work of Elijah to "restore all things" which Paul calls the "commonwealth of Israel".

You are right about the refining of Israel as they are brought home, but how can you prove this is yet future?

I don’t know what you mean, I don’t think anything is future.

Israel has not yet completed the time allocated for the iniquities of the fathers being visited upon their children and the children's children during the third and the fourth ages of the existence of the people of Israel.

The completion of the fourth age will happen, from my perspective, in around 20 years' time, when, as Paul stated, the fullness with respect to time of the Gentiles (Daniel 8:8-14) is completed, after which all of Israel will be saved.

This will occur when the sixth bowl judgement has run its full course, and the kings of the earth have assembled at Armageddon to be judged by God for what they have done to the people of Israel.

So according to what Pul has written the gathering by God of the Israelites to Himself is still future be it within around 20 years from now.

Don't mind this Jay! I'm not one for dates and times but your understanding is correct.

I don’t think we’re on the same wavelength F2F. I have no idea what you’re getting at lol.

Who are these people who have knowledge and insight?

Go and read Hebrews 9 and then it might come to you.

9:11 But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. Heb 9:11.

I can't make it any clearer for you Indiana

Maybe you could explain what you think this verse is saying.

Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

1 person from a city
2 people from a family

And I will bring you to Zion!

Zion isn’t future though, Zion is now and has been since Jesus came.

No, Zion is future.

Answer the question

Why would the Jews not bring the Old Covenant to mind and remember it no more?

At that time (When?) the city of Jerusalem will be called the Lord’s throne. All nations will gather there in Jerusalem to honor the Lord’s name
Je 3:17.

Fulfilled or unfulfilled?

We’re too far off in our views brother. Zion is here and God was finished with the nation of Israel at the cross.

How will Jerusalem be called the Lord's Throne?
Why will all nations gather to it?

See how you are not answering the questions?

You have a mind block!

Plenty there to show you the answers!

Leave it with you - if you don't want to see it you wont.

I'll leave you @IndianaRob the questions so you can consider them

1. Who are the teachers God will give Israel to teach them with knowledge and insight?
2. What will they be taught?
3. Why will Israel forget all about the Law, Tabernacle and OT Covenant
4. How will Jerusalem be called the Lord's Throne - What makes it the Lord's throne?
5. Why will all nations gather to Jerusalem?

That's a lot of unanswered questions on your part.
