I agree wholeheartedly with what He said as do all Amils. That's why I'm confused as to why you are a Premil. The judgment occurs right after the resurrection of the dead which is why it says the unsaved will be resurrected unto damnation. They will be cast into "everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels" when Jesus comes (Matt 25:31-46), which is a reference to the lake of fire. Why do you have that happening 1,000+ years later? Why, doesn't make sense because you refuse to listen to what Jesus said in John 5:28-29? Why are you wasting your time by not believing what He said there that ALL... in the graves will hear His voice and come forth??
Yes, I have. I've also read Hebrews 8-10 which makes the idea of animal sacrifices being reinstated impossible. If Zechariah 14:16-19 in a literal, futuristic sense than that would mean animal sacrifices would be reinstated in the future, but that is impossible because Jesus made the old covenant and its animal sacrifices obsolete forever by His once for all sacrifice. You're not taking all of scripture into account here. You are interpreting an OT passage in such a way that contradicts NT scripture. So then, you've never read Zechariah 14:16-19 for after...
So, do you believe that what Jesus said in the following will no longer be true one day? Show me where Jesus ever indicated that.Christ's future return, when even leftovers of the armies that will come upon against Jerusalem on the last day, will be made to come and worship Christ from year to year, and keep the feast of tabernacles?
John 4:
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Did God make it so that people no longer had to go to the mountain in Jerusalem to worship Him and instead required them to worship Him in spirit and in truth wherever they were only to again require people to go to Jerusalem to worship Him? Why do you think God has a plan to regress things to how they used to be after all the progress that was made by Jesus when He shed His blood and made His "once for all" sacrifice?
Why do you try to say that I reject John 5:28-29 when I interpret it the same way you do? You have a bad reading comprehension problem. And, your interpretation of Zechariah 14 contradicts other scripture. Does that matter to you or are you going to insist on making scripture say what you want it to say instead?Notice it speaks of the existence of 'nations' there doing that also. Do you reject that Zechariah 14 Scripture too like you do John 5:28-29?
You are not a Bible teacher. You are lacking in discernment about this and are completely unqualified to teach about this. The unsaved living will all be killed when Jesus returns (Matt 24:35-39, 1 Thess 5:2-3, 2 Thess 1:7-10, 2 Peter 3:10-12, Rev 19:17-18) and then the unsaved dead will all be resurrected and will be cast into the lake of fire. The idea that any unsaved will still be populating the earth at that point contradicts scripture.BRETHREN IN CHRIST JESUS:
The UNSAVED that go through Christ's future "thousand years" reign by Christ and His elect are represented by the "nations" it mentions...
Rev 20:6
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
KJV
Don't folks read their Bible anymore?!? This is an EASY to understand matter once God's Word is heeded about it!
Are you unable to read anything in context? Do you know what the word smite means? It relates to destruction, as does the reference to Him treading the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God". He is going to destroy them, not rule over them for a thousand years. You are completely ignoring the context there.Rev 19:14-16
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
KJV
The above is about the future day of Christ's coming on the last day of this present world, and the start of His future reign with that "rod of iron" over the UNSAVED NATIONS. Surely Christ's elect that reign also using that "rod of iron" with Him can figure out that 'rod' is not for the SAVED?!?
And, by the way, the Bible wasn't originally written in English. The English translators translated the Greek word "ethnos" as nations there, but it should have been interpreted as "heathen". That would line up with the OT prophecy that references Him breaking/destroying the heathen with a rod of iron.
Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
How can He rule over people who He has destroyed? You need to learn how to interpret scripture in context.
So, you even knew enough to reference the OT prophecy that Revelation 19:15 is based on and you still get it all wrong. There is no reference there to Jesus ruling over anyone for a long time there. Instead, it talks about Jesus destroying His enemies (the heathen). You are making scripture say what you want it to say instead of accepting what it actually says. You are completely ignoring the context.Again, notice Jesus is to rule over WHOM... with that "rod of iron"??
The NATIONS. That must mean nations of the UNSAVED will still exist DURING Christ's future "thousand years" reign??
Yes, of course! again simply because that "rod of iron" is NOT for His elect who ALSO will use that "rod of iron" to rule over those nation during His future "thousand years" reign. Jesus promised to give His elect that "rod of iron" to reign in that future time with Him...
Rev 2:26-27
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father.
KJV
OK, the above is Biblical PROOF that Christ's elect will also reign over the UNSAVED NATIONS with that same "rod of iron" which The Father gave Jesus Christ to reign with.
But did you not know brethren where this prophecy was first given?
Turn with me to Psalms 2...
8 Ask of Me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
When... does the above actually happen? It ain't happened yet today, that should be obvious, as there are still many nations and peoples today who are against Christ. This will only happen on the day of Jesus' future coming, as KING of kings, and LORD of lords. Jesus will reign over ALL nations and peoples then. These "heathen" are put for the NATIONS per a Hebrew word that refers to Gentiles.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
There it is, the first reference to Christ reigning in the future over the UNSAVED NATIONS with that "rod of iron".
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
KJV
The above then is about Christ's future "thousand years" reign, with those kings and judges being made to bow to Him while He and His elect reign over them with that "rod of iron" of the future.
