Rapture Readiness

Now is the time to choose for Jesus Christ, because when we die we simply face the judgment.
Please note there is no reincarnation; one does not live and die and live and die: one simply dies!
(27) And since it is appointed for all mankind once to die, and afterwards the judgement;
(28) so the Christ also, having been once offered in sacrifice in order that He might bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, separated from sin, to those who are eagerly expecting Him, to make their salvation complete. Hebrews 9:27
However the exception to this rule is those taken in the rapture will never die once. Hence they will never see the corruption of their bodies.
(16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
(18) Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
Caught up in the Greek is: harpazō (har-pad'-zo) to seize (in various applications): - catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force).
So the verb translated caught up here means to seize, or to carry off by force.
This passage of scripture is the basis for the New Testament doctrine of the rapture, hence; the catching away of believers to be with Jesus. The word rapture is not in the ancient Greek text, but comes from the Latin Vulgate, which translates the phrase caught up with rapturus, from which we get our English word rapture.
Jesus taught us that whatever state of being that we fall dead in is the state of being which we shall be judged by. If you are walking in or practicing sin as a lifestyle that’s the way you will be judged; not by your confession but by the fruits of your life. One who is born again does not live in sin but are empowered by the Spirit to overcome and walk in the righteousness of Christ. Please take your salvation seriously and vest it in Christ Jesus who came to set us freedom from the bondage of the flesh so that we could walk in the works we were created to walk in proving that he indeed lives in and through us! Jesus is coming and if we are alive when he comes we shall never see death! Selah
Shalom, Agape, and Amen!

I wanted to ask the question “how many Christians believe that the rapture will happen in their lifetime” and I found that answer in a poll.
The numbers are pretty high. I wonder why people believe this. Afraid of death maybe?

Jesus Christ’s Return to Earth

By the year 2050, 41% of Americans believe that Jesus Christ definitely (23%) or probably (18%) will have returned to earth. However, a 46%-plurality of the public does not believe Christ will return during the next 40 years. Fully 58% of white evangelical Christians say Christ will return to earth in this period, by far the highest percentage in any religious group. Only about a third of Catholics (32%) and even fewer white mainline Protestants (27%) predict Christ’s return to earth by 2050. One-in-five religiously unaffiliated Americans also see Christ returning during the next four decades. Americans with no college experience (59%) are much more likely than those with some college experience (35%) or college graduates (19%) to expect Jesus Christ’s return. By region, those in the South (52%) are the most likely to predict a Second Coming by 2050.

Rapture Readiness
....

What you say is true, excepting...

... your message still does not really prepare the Church for the coming events upon us at the end of this world. Just 'be ready'... how exactly? Praying that Jesus will come to rapture us to Heaven prior to the coming tribulation? Sorry friend, that idea is simply not written in God's Word.

About the only time I use the word 'rapture' is in order to make it plain to those on a false Pre-tribulational Rapture Theory the event I'm talking about with them, and of course to define the false doctrine of men they keep. The KJV phrase "caught up" is used in more than one example in God's Word.

In Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, Lord Jesus was giving us 7 main Signs of the end to be watching, leading up to His future coming to gather us and do battle against the wicked on earth. Those Signs are the Seals of Revelation 6.

He gave us those Signs so we would not be deceived during the coming "great tribulation", and to help us make a 'stand' for Him in that time just prior to His coming. The Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27 Scriptures specifically mark the day of His coming to gather us being AFTER the tribulation He mentioned, not prior to it like the Pre-trib Rapture Theory preaches.

This is why those who are not 'watching' those Signs that He gave can only say, 'be ready'.

He commanded us to watch, those who don't know those Signs do not know what to 'watch', and will be deceived.
