But that word as well translates-an upright pole or stake. Many scholars agree that a cross would have been way to heavy for a man to drag along in a weakened state like Jesus was.
Back in the 1960,s i don't ever recall even seeing the word cross as apart of that words translating. I think they added it after that point. When truth was exposed on the matter.
