Hey everyone. I have been so busy lately as the Lord leads. Tomorrow I am leading the worship for Women's Aglow in my area as the lead in for our guest speaker from Bethel Church, Cal. USA. She moves in the prophetic, healing ministry and is a missionary for Africa. Please pray that I am sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading in choosing the right songs and that the Holy Spirit fills the service with his sweet aroma and his anointing opens every heart to receive whatever God has for us, in Jesus mighty name!

I have decided to start off with one of their worship songs, lol!

Thank you
Angie.

Thanks for your inspiring post.

Regarding choices of songs: services are centered on thanks to God for blessings received and prayers for particular, timely blessings. The guest speaker will remind the congregation of God’s expectations and promises for us.

The primary purpose of the music should be to reenforce the major themes of the service.

(Given our time differences, these ideas might be coming too late!)

Many blessings.

No, @Bob I appreciate your input, brother, and I understand that the music needs to be chosen by the Lord as corporate worship opens the heavenly realm and prepares the hearts for the preaching of the word or whatever the guest speaker has spent time in prayer to speak about. It's all divine, and I love it when the songs coincide with the preaching because it indicates that we are all listening and hearing the Holy Spirit's prompting. Glory!
It's only 4.48am, and yes, I'm up, but the service starts at 9am. I like to get organized and practice those songs God gave me last night.:CheckRec

Bless you, xox

Amen.

”Music needs to be chosen by the Lord”! Absolutely Right.

He has never let me down when I have asked for inspiration regarding music for a service.

And: We pray that all who attended your service left with spirits fed and ready to do His will.

Peace.

Oh Lord, my God, you are so awesome! I give you all the glory and praise! I chose the right songs for this service, and the anointing came down like rain. The lady speaker was not what I was expecting; I had a preconceived idea that she would be loud, boisterous, and out there (like I thought Americans could be), but she wasn't. She was humble and sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. Although she came from the Bethel Church in Redding, she hails from Tennessee.

Anyway, her message from the Lord for service was about signs, wonders, and miracles. She talked a little bit about her testimony and miracles that had happened in her ministry in Africa and then began to pray over people. The last song I chose was "I surrender all," which was the key song in her message. It also related to her testimony after her husband died and she sold her house in Tennessee to live in California. All the doors opened up for her in a divine way. It was awesome!

One thing she did mention to me when she got the chance was why we were worshipping God in this building when we should be taking this into the streets because your heart for worship would heal people instantly. Glory to God!

and thank you all for your prayers. Bless you

Thank you for the delightful summary of your wonderful experience.

However: one phrase caught my eye—
I had a preconceived idea that she would be loud, boisterous, and out there (like I thought Americans could be), but she wasn't. She was humble and sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading.
Indeed, many Americans do behave like basic social mammals, but here and there, in the Christian community, you will find many like her. Re Tennessee: aha—a soft-spoken Southern woman, one of the cherished people of our South.

Many blessings.
