You do not love perfectly, sorry.
No need for your sorry.
You don't understand it, or know how it is accomplished.
Not an issue for me. I know my standing and why.

You do not love perfectly, sorry.
I hear the opposite of love is fear, not hate.
It's not a matter of doing something more.
If we have faith, we also are happy to obey.
If we are Not happy to obey, there's something wrong.
Our obedience is a sign of our love for God.
When we do not obey,
we ask forgiveness
This is different than living a life of sin.
Your last paragraph cannot be correct in view of the following scripture:Totally disagree.
I find nothing that teaches the Lord looks for signs from us.
The Lords patience is waiting for men to MAKE a commitment to Him, giving Him their life.
Once a commitment is MADE, it's a done deal, and He forever Keeps you IN belief, BY His Power.
(Even thou you believe By exercising your freewill, YOU CAN overpower God, and depart from Him).
You should study, He knows all things. He does not give the gift of Salvation to a man, to be mocked and shamed by that man, who would later, reject Him.
You don't know the laws we're supposed to keep?Obey what? His Laws?
What things are you talking about, that people do not obey?
Oops. Hyper grace raises its head once again.Didn't you already ask Him for forgiveness?
Do you believe He already gave you forgiveness?
Was His forgiveness, temporary?
Was His forgiveness, conditional?
What's to explain? Some things are so easy to understand. How is sin committed by one man or another man different?
Is there a conditional limit, that one or two sins are okay and can be forgiven...
But many sins are not okay and what?
Can not be forgiven?
Please explain.
Hebrews 6:4-6
4For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.
verse 4 is speaking about persons that have been enlightened, tasted of the heavenly gift, and made partakers of the Holy Spirit.
Obviously born again to anyone who understands scriptural concepts.
verse 5 is a continuation
verse 6 is about FALLING AWAY. Perhaps, if the bible speaks about falling away it means that it IS possible? It also speaks of open shame as you have, but in a different context of course.
It seems to me that those who do not take scripture as it is written have to come up with ideas to change it to suit their own understanding.Excellent Scripture;
Those who have once been enlightened...
What IS enlightened?
....being saved?
....No
....Enlightened is being given Knowledge
Those who have tasted of the heavenly gift...
What IS the heavenly gift one Begins Tasting, before they can EAT?
....is that being saved?
....No.
....Tasting...IS...see Heb 6:5
....The good Word of God.
Those who have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit.
....is that being saved?
....No.
....Is that being indwelt with the Holy Spirit.
....No.
....That is a man receiving a measure of Faith.
Many Jews were interested to hear Jesus, began following His teaching, believing what they heard, were being given faith, and relented to the pressure and persecution of Jews who were following Jesus' teaching, and thus they FELL AWAY....stopped following, stopped listening, stopped being giving increases of faith, stopped believing and returned to being subjected to Jewish Laws.
Were they saved?
Had they COMMITED their life to the Lord Jesus?
IF so....then Scripture LIES...
IF so....then the Lord is not WITH THEM, as he said He would be forever WITH THOSE who become Born Again.
IF so....then the Lord, who knows ALL things, did not know, they would Walk Away.
IF so....then the Lords Power in them was not STRONG ENOUGH to Keep Them.
Being enlightened, is hearing knowledge.
Tasting the gift, is hearing the Word of God.
Partaking of the HS, is being gifted with Faith.
Obviously anyone who understands Scripture, would comprehend;
There is all IN sin.
There is a period of Learning ABOUT God.
There is hearing, following, deciding what to believe.
During the time one is learning, they are being given Faith from God.
IF a man keeps following, His Faith is increased.
When a mans faith is increased, His natural spirit in his heart become more and more in Faith.
When his heart becomes full of Faith, he is prepared to submit his life to the Lord.
When the man acknowledges his Faith increased, he submits his life to the Lord.
When a man submits his life to the Lord, He is saved and born again and indwelt with the HS and the HS is forever with the man.
By your teaching:
The Lords gift of increased Faith, fails.
The Lord LIED and will abandon a man He has saved.
The Lords Indwelling Power is too weak to Keep the man, and that man CAN be plucked out of His hand.
Of course FALLING AWAY is POSSIBLE;
IF a man has not been saved and born again.
Look at a very early example of Judas.
Followed Jesus, was being enlightened, was tasting of the Word of God, was believing, Participated in "Eating" of the bread and drinking of the wine....then stopped Trusting, stopped Believing, Betrayed Jesus, Stopped following.....He fell away.
The other 11 disciples, continued following, being enlightened, tasting the Word of God...
Doubted at times, but kept following, beleived, denied, but kept following, became increased in Faith, all submitted to the Lord, and all THEREAFTER, became Saved and Born Again.
Perhaps you went from the first time hearing of Jesus to submitting yourself to the Lord.
Most people learn ABOUT Him, BEFORE submitting, and while they ARE LEARNING, they are being given measures of Faith, from the Spirit of God....
Some continue following and Submit their life to Him.
Some stop following and stop receiving Faith, stop believing and have fallen from faith. They never stuck it out long enough to become saved and born again and INDWELT with the Spirit of God, who will be forever with that man, and NO ONE can pluck a saved man out of His hand.
Since according to you the Scripture is so easy to UNDERSTAND what it means.......
It is curious that it is ONLY the Lord that gives a man Understanding of His Word.
If Scripture was so easy to understand, why would the Lord be necessary to give men His understanding?
Answer...because men decide the Understanding BY their mind, ciphering, guessing, logically concluding...which God calls foolishness.

My father died of Alzheimer's. He was a born again person, out of the Catholic church and ended up with Protestant doctrinal beliefs. He was 87. If one can no longer think straight, why would a good God punish him for it? It's like the age of reason.
God will not punish someone who does not understand.
The problem I have with Calvinism is that it changes the nature of God.
It changes a good and loving God, 1 John 4:8 GOD IS LOVE, into a God that picks and chooses who will go to heaven and who will go to hell.
I also believe as you do that Jesus saves us for believing in Him, not for the doctrine to which we adhere.
Have you noticed all the scripture I give you?
Could you please do the same...otherwise we're just discussing your opinion.
Those that feel everything must be crossed and dotted are still depending on themselves for salvation. If we could have done this, the New Covenant would not have been necessary.Amen, my mother too at 99. Just because the brain is damaged does not mean that they ever changed their mind about God. I believe He made Himself know to them deep within themselves, even when they were a the worst.
He promised to never leave or forsake. ✟
Amen!! .and just how many on this Site believe that? Not many..they believe that every i must be dotted, and every T crossed...or we are doomed.
And, obviously it is what "they" believe that is right and correct.
We are with the minority. :)
Taken, I've said what 1 John 3:9 means.1 John 3:9
WHOSOEVER is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
I am born of God, and cannot sin.
How about you?

It seems to me that those who do not take scripture as it is written have to come up with ideas to change it to suit their own understanding.
John 14:21
Jesus is saying that we must obey His commands if we love Him, and THEN Jesus will disclose Himself to the person.
Sounds like the opposite of what you posted...
you cannot accept the fact that it is possible to fall away from SALVATION.
are interested with your salvation...not with rewards or crowns.
Jesus went to Jerusalem and knew He would have to die --- to save you, not to get you crowns.
Salvation was His goal. If you don't understand this
have to change verses around
One is born again when he calls on the name of the Lord, after having heard of Him.
Romans 10:13
One is born again when he obeys Jesus.
John 15:14
Regarding the highlighted in red above, please see verse
John 14:21
Jesus is saying that we must obey His commands if we love Him, and THEN Jesus will disclose Himself to the person. Sounds like the opposite of what you posted...
Taken, I've said what 1 John 3:9 means.
It does NOT mean that we don't sin.
It means that we do not LIVE A LIFE OF SIN.
Why not look this up in a commentary?
You depend too much on one verse.
Another no no.
And yes, we could leave God (however improbable) but HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US.
So, it plainly says does not commit sin, cannot sin....
Ummmm, first of all, Einstein - "slander" is spoken. "Libel" is written.Oh good grief...use a bit of common sense instead of hiding behind "political correctness"...
If something IS a mans IDEA, a mans THOUGHTS, a mans WORDS....really, you think that is NOT the man you are attacking?
LOL
That's a GREAT question.WHAT Scripture?
Sooooo, show me which verses "support" OSAS - and I'll show you WHY they don't . . .Replaced with your opinion.
Sorry, wouldn't fly in a court, doesn't fly with me.
I am fully aware of what misrepresentation means, and do not require examples.
Apparently you still fail to understand...
You have made accusations..you have stated your opinions...you have claimed a misrepresentation of Scripture....
But you have FAILED to present the Facts...of WHAT Scriptures you are claiming were misrepresentated!
How dense ARE you??Your Phases...according to you...
The "initial"...is what exactly?
The "maintaining" is done by whom exactly?
The "final"...is what exactly?
If you're talking about following listing - your failure is an ignorance of not only Scripture - but of its linguistic implications.Apr 3, pg 92, post #1831 . "I was blind, but now I see". God bless.
And I shall dwell in the House of the Lord foreverUmmmm, first of all, Einstein - "slander" is spoken. "Libel" is written.
Secondly - you cannot be acused of EITHER for attacking an idea.
Do your homework . . .
That's a GREAT question.
Based on WHICH verses do YOU believe in OSAS??
Thanks for bringing that up . . .
Sooooo, show me which verses "support" OSAS - and I'll show you WHY they don't . . .
