You are indeed saying that Peters command per Acts 2:38 is legalism. You are totally messed up.
This legalism baloney that people made up in modern days is designed to destroy the plan of salvation. Nice job.
You are attributing to the act of man, what is accomplished by Christs Blood, legalism, conditional man salvation

No, baptism in the book of Acts was for the regeneration(burial) process. It was not for the pre-saved Saints. It was for the remission of sins. You guys are worse than Catholics.
Baptism was a act of obedience for the newly converted, Peter knew these people had already been given repentance, a change of mind from Christ on High according to Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

These people were guilty of wickedly crucifying Christ earlier but the Spirit regenerated them and gave them repentance Acts 2:23

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

They had been made sorry for their wickedness by the Spirits work who had been poured out Vs 33

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

They were now new creatures ready to be instructed and to follow Jesus Apostles Doctrine Vs 37

37 Now when they heard thi
s, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

But you dont get it.

Per verse 47 that you posted, remission of sins was preached in the name of Jesus. That was when Peter said(preached) “repent be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins”…
Yes Peter was to preach remission of sins and repentance in the Name of Jesus, because He is the author and provider of them. Peter later preached Jesus gives repentance and forgiveness' to Israel/Elect Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Paul preached forgiveness of sins as well Acts 13:38-39

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

You are adding to the work of Christ friend with your legalism

Roman 6 declares that we are buried with Christ through baptism. If we are buried after we are regenerated, we are buried alive. Modern Christians are so very scriptually ignorant

Here, beginning at Jerusalem, as verse 47 you posted, is the fulfillment of verse 47… Then Peter said under them, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…

Remember, remission of sins should be preached in his name beginning at Jerusalem. Now you know.

Water Baptism was an act of obedience for the new believer, you making it a condition for salvation. Thats totally against Christ, whose blood accomplished the forgiveness of sins.

You giving man the glory where Jesus Christ should have it.
Let me rephrase it for you. Is your confession of your faith a work of you or is it God showing his faith and his work through you?
Let me be clear, is it God speaking through you of your faith and his word or is it your faith and your word?

No, water baptism is a burial of the sinner that has previously repented. You cannot be born again, unless you’re buried in the name of Jesus Christ through water baptism. Don’t even think about it.

Here is exactly what Peter preached when the very first people that were coming to him on the very first day of Pentecost and ask him what shall we do?

Then Peter said under them repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…
Read it and weep. You can’t skip it.

No matter how you slice it, you giving man the credit where Jesus Christ should have the Glory. Water Baptism is an act of obedience after one is saved.

The fact is you saved yourself by you confessing your sins with your mouth. God didn’t do that, you did. So, you are saved by your own works. Live with it.

Here’s the remedy for sin and salvation… You must repent, the church must baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and God will give you the gift of the Holy Ghost. All three of these combined are the grace of God in your life. You cannot do this unless God allows you.

This is what Jesus told Peter to preach. Remission of sins in this method. This is exactly what was told and what he did. Why don’t you do it?

That sounds like 2 Thess 2:3-4

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Friend you exalting man over God in Salvation !
