Salvation in the Bible works like this :

You're right. We need to persevere with the Lord in our Christian walk with God until the end of our days. It is He who gives us the strength to overcome the things of the world as we look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Then in the company of Paul we shall be able to say, "I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." (Philippians 2:16) Good post. The only people who can offer you what you are looking for are people like yourself, and that is a bad place to be. Now here comes the main part. We cannot EARN salvation based on what we do, but we can LOSE salvation according to what we do. Sins of the flesh, loss of faith and a whole load of temptations that occupy our time and take us away from the Lord. Jesus is our all-in-all, and he has a right to expect our all in return.

I know what your problem is. In every post you talk of doing works of the flesh. Think of our relationship with God as a marriage, as an affair of the heart. No actual work is involved except a little tender love. Sometimes our love grows cold, we look for other things, and we drift apart...
