The old Osas did not teach that you can live in sin and you remain a Christian. It said that if you did that you were never a Christian to begin with. It's the NEW Osas that says you can stop believing and go back to your sinful life, on purpose, and you are still saved. But it does get confusing because some of them do seem to dodge back and forth between the two Osas's making it hard to discuss anything with them. And so it is true that some of them do not know what they believe.
I believe that. lol

But if you want too, is it allowed for you to live like that and still get to heaven?

If you dont live in sin, then you have nothing to worry about....simple, and exactly what we are saying...be obediant.
John said a child of God can’t live in sin

what part of that do you not understand?

I thought we were keeping it simple....Adultery Is not the unforgivable Sin
It’s odd. Corinth was living in sexual sin Paul was chastening them for it. Reminding they they were washed justified and sanctified so they should live their new life. He never claimed they stopped this sins. Yet the lawyers want to judge these people while excusing their own sin

Have a bit more time now...I was chatting with you while trying to make tying soccer boots more entertaining, Back to your point you think you have me on let's look at scripture

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

So Clearly it is an issue been dealt with at the time and lets look at the consequence of an extreme case

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

If One's Flesh Dies But there Spirit may still be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus, What Does that say to you? That he lost Salvation Or God would of saved him from himself if he was going to go too far
Amen they screen we love sin or have a license yet they can’t see. By repenting in their minds ever time
They sin they are giving themselves a license. We can sin all we want as long as we repent. Which is not repenting at all
They do Not even understand the word and what it means

However, I believe it is NOT possible for any one to commit the unforgivable sin, not even an atheist will declare that the power of Jesus is coming from Satan instead of from the Holy Ghost.

I mean, it doesn't make sense for any one to commit, confess, and admit this unforgivable sin today. Can you honestly say you know of people who did this, and can you share this with us?

To God Be The Glory
The unforgivable sin is lack of faith in Christ or believing a different gospel. Since the word is inspired by the spirit and the spirit is sent to convict the sinner and let him see the truth. To deny the truth of the gospel is to call the Holy Spirit a liar, and attribute to someone else the truth of whatever gospel you believe in

So, you can sin and still be a Christian but you can't deny Jesus? Total contradiction!

I don't think YOU have a clue what OSAS is! It's SO FLEXIBLE!
So your gonna continue with this facade? Do you still sin? If your answer is yes then you just contradicted yourself. Because you believe you can still sin and be a Christian

your the one who does not know what OSAS is you prove it every time you post

For myself...There is no need to teach OSAS

If you are saved and being saved...you will know.

What I believe we should all begin to preach is that the Kingdom is at hand through the person of Jesus the Christ, stating that He died for our sins and arose for our Justicication .....Therefore we Should put our trust in Him.

And that one can enter now, the kingdom of God, and have life now looking to Him and trusting who He is.

For....if they have life now

Why teach OSAS for security ....when "life" in Christ is our security. HE saved us from the penalty of sin by giving us "Life" and being saved from actual committing of sins, as actual doing them, is through continued obedience to the commands of Christ.

This is why I believe 2 Cor 13:15 states: Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

But to teach osas... as the Gospel which I know many do.....it stops many from transforming into Christ's likeness through obedience...and to walk on the path of righteousness.

And the problem again is many may not have Even been born from above with New Life.
Because they were taught to believe something Jesus did to secure them so they can have heaven when they die...Instead of teaching them to trust the one in whom forgiveness of sins comes from.

Gal 2:16 is key: That one needs to believe Who He is, first......accepting Him as King...
And then choose to follow.

For the Law...even though because of the weakness of the flesh natural man could not keep it, It still governed their lives while on earth.

And the being under the New Covenant is to govern our lives on earth. It is a way of maintaining the Status one has been called for and thus enter into the blessings of Abraham; Being the righteousness of God in Christ. The light to life to those who are dead in sins.

In my opinion It can be said like this:
11Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
You can read the rest.........12 and 13 but here's 14.
14The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

To be perfect in that sense to me means....dont just be a hearer or all talk but live the word we say we believe in....

Because that is eternal life how we know God and Jesus. [Living the Word]

It’s odd. Corinth was living in sexual sin Paul was chastening them for it. Reminding they they were washed justified and sanctified so they should live their new life. He never claimed they stopped this sins. Yet the lawyers want to judge these people while excusing their own sin
Paul himself judges them!

I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this. 1 Corinthians 5:3

He says this guy who is sinning is to be turned over to satan for the destruction of the flesh because he's not going to be saved when Jesus comes back if his sin is not put to death in his flesh....

hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, a b so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 5:5
The NEW Osas ignores all this and says he was saved, is saved, and will always be saved, despite the plain words of Paul that says that his sin must be put to death in order for him to be saved when Jesus comes back. The OLD Osas says he was never saved to begin with and that turning him over to satan might bring him to his senses so that he'll get saved.

No one teaches OSAS that I know of. We teach the gospel of Christ and the power of God. TO be honest. The only time we hear the term osas is for anti-osas people.

You do the “ twisting”, not me ...” Text without context is Error” —- and THAT is where you are At right now....

Your NOT wanting to see how I “twist” the verse gives me the incentive. to explain it to you ....are you using “ reverse psychology “ on me ? Lol.....

Actually “ His Life ” Said all that essentially needs to be said....if you can’t understand the truth from his post, there’s no need for me to waste this precious computer ink....I am down to half a barrel!

That , coming from someone who "can't understand the truth from the" bible. Funny

I'm merly tired of your twists, I've seen them before and they weren't just a matter of context, they were a matter of poorly done twists.

You were the one that said you didn't want to explain, and I figured those were the reasons why, you knew they were only going to be a twisted version of scripture, but by all means, go for it.

And be sure to try to explain away all the similar lists of sins in the bible that can get us in trouble as well.

Consider David who was after God's own heart. Did he not commit adultery with Bathsheba? Is he not in heaven today? Did he get away with that sin? NO! For God took his son away from him at the age of two.

To God Be The Glory

You arent paying attention. This is specifically about living in sin as an ongoing lifestyle.
