Interestingly, the Bible points out that there will be survivors who live through the great tribulation and the battle of Armageddon. Rev 7:14. The battle of Armageddon is the return of Jesus to remove the wicked, but of course not the righteous. Obviously, if they survive through that revelation, then they have been judged righteous, therefore having the prospect of unending life. Likely you have never contemplated this thought, do you believe this will happen?

Your last statement is proven flawed by Isaiah's description of the millennial reign. Lifespans will evidently expand to time periods similar to pre-flood spans, but death will remain. Those who survive the great tribulation will be like us....subject to physical death.

Isaiah 65:20-25 NKJV — “No more shall an infant from there live but a few days,
Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days;
For the child shall die one hundred years old,
But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed. They shall build houses and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit;
They shall not plant and another eat;
For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people,
And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain,
Nor bring forth children for trouble;
For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD,
And their offspring with them. “It shall come to pass
That before they call, I will answer;
And while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
The lion shall eat straw like the ox,
And dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,”
Says the LORD.

Death is the final enemy God will put under Jesus' feet...and Revelation 20 tells us when that will be....after the final judgment, after the millennial reign, just before the new heavens and earth are established.

Revelation 20:14 NKJV — Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

That is your understanding of how the end times will play out. But my understanding is that the Armageddon event when the kings of the earth will be judged is a near future event and will occur in around 20- 25 years time. The great tribulation mentioned in the Book of Revelation is a distant future event and will occur after the 1000 years have passed when Satan is locked up with the kings of the earth and the beasts and the Little Horn in the Bottomless pit. Then the great tribulation will occur and people will be forced to worship the beast for a time.

Unfortunately I will not witness both event as my time on the earth has been set and I would need to out live the time of my father's life to even achieve witnessing the Armageddon event. As such, I am more interested in my relationship with God than in when these prophesised events will occur.

We believe the new heavens is established Josh, since satan and the demons have been cast to the earth. You are correct however,
Revelation 20:14 NKJV — Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Amen to that, won't that be a wonderful time sir?

The way the Bible is written on that subject is very confusing Jay. It may help to tie in Dan 2:44 with the return of Christ. 2 Thes chap 1 makes it clear that when he returns it is to destroy the wicked, they being those who do not know God, and do not obey the gospel of Christ. It also brings out that satan as well along with his demons will be bound from the earth for 1000yrs while Jesus and the anointed rule over the earth. It is not logical that while Jesus is ruling, that there would still be governments correct?

Clearly there will be a short time after satan is released, but with the vast majority of the world having lived under Kingdom rule for the last millennium, the number satan drags with him should be a minority, even though they are as many as the grains of the sand of the sea. Therefore it is highly illogical that governments will form and we will revert back to what we have today. So we believe the war in the near future that ends the great tribulation is actually the battle of Armageddon. We are in the time period of the 8h King right now (United Nations), and his time is short.

Actually sir, the gift that God gives is everlasting life, Romans 6:23. With the final test the last enemy death along with it's counterpart hell, will be cast into the lake of fire, thus no longer existing Rev 20:14, thus death will be no more Rev 21:4

What a wonderful prospect indeed Josh.

That is definitely coming....but you might have a deeper look at Revelation 20. The timing of when that final deliverance occurs ends up coming after the 1000 year reign. During the millennial reign, men and women will live as we do. The majority will live very expanded lifespans, procreate, have families and repopulate the earth. After that, there will be one final rebellion against His Kingdom rule.....which will of course be put down. Then the current heavens and earth are rolled up, the great judgement will take place, the final enemy (death) will be cast into the lake of fire. Then God will renew the heavens and the earth....having at last reversed all the vicious works of the devil. Then comes the time when we will live without sorrow, crying, or pain....sin will be exterminated.

Have a careful read of Revelation 20 and 21.....its all fairly clearly detailed there.

Yes I can see from your post that you are confused by what has been written in the bible.

Dan 2:44 is when God establishes His ever lasting Kingdom, but it does not tell us that Christ will be returning at that time. That is how you want to understand the verse.

What I do know from Dan 7:13-14 is that Christ will be given a dominion at the time of the Armageddon event in heaven and that all the peoples of the earth should worship Him under that dominion, but this brief two verses, does not indicate from where Christ will exercise this dominion from. You have made the assumption that for a person to exercise their dominion over the people of the earth, that they also have to be on the face of the earth as well.

Satan and his cohorts have been exercising their dominion from heaven over the people of the earth without them necessarily being on the face of the earth.

For example the President of the USA has been exercising his dominion over other people groups without even being in the countries where he is exercising his dominion over the people.

Your premise for this thread is a little off from my understanding of the Scriptures.

Shalom

We agree on most of it, the earth will not be "new" until after the final test at the end of the millennium after the release of satan. Satan already cast from heaven will never be allowed reentry, therefore the new heavens exists. We agree with all the rest except "extended" lifespans, we teach life eternal.
