MESSAGE TO LAODICEA

The church at Laodicea is addressed in Paul's epistle Colossians. Laodicea was close to the city of Colossae. The fact that there was a church in Laodicea doe not preclude it from being a Jewish church formed from the preaching of Jesus and his disciples. Paul did not deal exclusively with members of the body of Christ, but had fellow helpers of the circumcision.

[Rev 3:14 KJV] 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

[Rev 3:18 KJV] 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Israel will face a trial of faith in the tribulation. Peter compares their trial with gold tried in the fire.

[1Pe 1:7 KJV] 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

[Rev 3:19 KJV] 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

There is scripture directed to Israel that states God, who loves Israel, will chasten them.

[Deu 8:5 KJV] 5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, [so] the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
[Job 5:17 KJV] 17 Behold, happy [is] the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
[Heb 12:6-7 KJV] 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

[Rev 3:20 KJV] 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Jesus blessed his servants, believing Israel, who at his coming, he will find watching; Jesus will make them sit down to eat.

[Luk 12:37 KJV] 37 Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

[Rev 3:21 KJV] 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Jesus did make this promise to his twelve disciples.

[Mat 19:28 KJV] 28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

IN CONCLUSION

The letters to the seven churches could well have been sent to existing remnant Jewish believers; there is plenty of internal evidence to substantiate this possibility.
The main intent was that future Jewish believers would benefit from these letters in the tribulation; it is Israel that will endure the future tribulation, not us the body of Christ.
