I see it more like one man takes some scriptures and jumps into a ditch and another man takes the scriptures that are in tension to his scriptures and jumps into the ditch on the other side of the road. But a rare unindoctrinated man walks in the middle of the road and manages to not fall in either ditch because he has understood the tension.
I don't agree with this idea of "tension" in the Scriptures. I've found that what some call tension between two passages is eliminated by a correct interpretation.

Much love!

Maybe. Adam was covered and he was innocent and he had not offended God. But he had not yet eaten from the tree of eternal life. God didn’t leave that option after he fell. But are we now talking about Adam who was created in Gods image or are we talking of Adams offspring after his fall who were born in adams image?
I'm talking initially of Adam. What do you mean that he was "covered"?

Much love!

You don't enjoy this "mug" staring at you?

Well…I’d rather see a brothers real face I guess but…no, young Stallone doesn’t bother me. He had an interesting face. Just leave it and don’t bother with religious men who find it scandalous. Lol.

I thought he chose the picture because of - Therefore I run in such a way as not to run aimlessly; I box in such a way, as to avoid hitting air;
Hey, I'm just reacting to my own associations, and preferences. I've never cared for user names that are someone else's name, and pictures that are someone else's picture. No big deal. But if you ask me, that's my thought.

1 Corinthians 9:26 EMTV
Therefore I run thus: not as without a goal, thus I box: not as one beating the air.

Not as someone running without a goal, and not as someone who is fighting without effect.

I disagree, as you already know. :)
God is both merciful and severe.

or my favorite:
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
or you yourself will be just like him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly,
or he will be wise in his own eyes.

Yes. When you see it you realize the man is defending something you haven’t seen yet. It’s odd. Or maybe not…it’s human. Even in everyday life, someone being unreasonable is defending something you can’t see…some perceived slight or some…belief.

Today was a good day for me in Christ Jesus, reminding me of His love and grace and mercy toward me since I should have been dead many, many a time in my young life.
But then, I am no socialite either and wonder if I should not move on.
Give you guys and gals to "slog" it out without using the scriptures.
Getting late here in South Africa.
Blessings
J.

Yes, we've talked about this before. But I still don't see a conflict in these places that you do.

God's love requires justice or it's not love, for instance.

Much love!

People assuming something is in someone else's mind when it's not? That causes trouble.

Much love!

Some look at "abiding" as you move in and out of it, but that's not the word. Abiding means you remain there,

Lol…yes…abiding means remaining in trust and not abiding means not remaining in trust…
You’ve done it again, lol. You think Christ saying abide in me means you can’t stumble and do otherwise. But men who have struggled to fully and radically trust will just scoff at that because they’ve lived the struggle. I can’t quite get at your seeming disconnect between reality and scripture. He says abide in me so it must mean I always do…
I don’t get it.

Have you missed me, mark? :p

Don't mind me Mark, we are all in a race and maybe I should change my Picture.

It was a good day
J.

Yes it was a good day! I am ecstatically happy when I manage to grab a whole day to talk with you guys where I don’t have to do anything else. I would happily spend every day talking with you guys if I could.

Im always using scriptures. I have a bad habit of assuming everyone will know them. I should post them instead of assuming.

socialite…? Lol. I’m just an arthritic and decrepit old country gal…

Yeah, some of us just that warped that... that's what it takes.
Don't you hate when you have to type the same word twice back to back?

Oh…late in South Africa. I so enjoyed talking with you that I told mom I didn’t want to go out to dinner but maybe I’ll go make her happy and eat a salad since it’s your bedtime. :)
