I don't mind long posts if the person is responsive, and we are having a real conversation. But I really like short paragraphs! Large blocks of type glaze my eyes.
And I like the definition of eloquence as saying all you need to and nothing you don't. There is SO MUCH that need not be said.

I know, I just don't understand how he was randomly mentioned lol and he isn't dead,.. he just made it before the rest of us. :)
He had a real ability to make short and concise posts.

@April_Rose I find your posts to long to read and skim skim past your posts even though, in your post above, the actual message content may only be short, like 25 characters long.
It is all the other extraneous characters and images that I do not need to focus on that distracts me.

What annoys me are all the posters who chose to derail a thread by talking about other things, like "flatulence" etc. which has nothing to do with the OP. The thread gets lost with the flatulent diarrhoea of their words that the purpose of the thread gets lost.

Oh come on lighten up! This thread is in general fellowship and since the OP it doesn't have much of a purpose now anyways. Geesh some people are so touchy.
Im sorry if I have ever derailed some debates. I try to get involved and when I am out of the loop, I tend to talk about other things. it is hard to just read some things and not respond. I agree with April though, on these fellowship threads, if the op doesn't have an issue, why not. I skip over videos. Don't watch them all the time. Don't agree with everything people post, but still love them. People still going to post how they post when it is all said and done. Not a crime. Just an annoyance.

I have stayed out of the debate threads for awhile now though also, except to read a little bit. I feel like I have been a bit healthier spiritually lately, because of it. Also, staying out of things involving universalism for example...issues I really know nothing about and feel just distract me from living God's Word.
Me too, I touch and go in the debate ares, just dip my toes in the water :)

Then, since you believe that the purpose was meet in the OP, why are you polluting the thread with your posts, regardless of the thread being in the general fellowship area. Is that really necessary to done by anyone.
Now some good guidelines were to be found amongst the rubbish that was posted and you contributed to.
To find those relevant posts to the OP, members have to plough through the rubbish posted by others and irrelevant w.r.t. to OP. The actions of these people who generated the irrelevant post, is disrespectful to say the least to everybody on the forum. Is it irrelevant whether or not I am touchy as you have suggested.
