Hi Wynona. Good morning. Its 4:36am and I'm awake. We have a bit of a time delay between zones. Hope you're having a good day. It's 1:48 am and Im up but Im hoping to fall asleep.
Had a banana. They usually do the trick.
Sorry to hear that. Glad you're okay.I'm a little under the weather, but I'm OK. thanks for asking.
I'm doing better now. Thanks Wynona. It's nice to have friends here.Sorry to hear that. Glad you're okay.
Sorry and I hope she is comforted in her time of need.Good morning, @devin553344.
6:11 EDT. 60F with an expected high of 80F.
Gotta get up early and take my friend to her chemo-lite infusion. While the doctors seem confident the cancer is under control, her general health has been declining. She says she's ready to meet Jesus at any time. That makes me smile, but it's kind of a sad smile.
It's a camaro.@devin553344, I just noticed the new avatar. What manner of beastie is it?
Yours?It's a camaro.
Car troubles, aarrgg. No it's not my camaro. I had one when I was younger. I just like the look of the new camaro, but I wouldn't own one. I'm into Toyotas as they run well and are less likely to break down.Yours?
I once bought a used '87 Camaro, the first car I ever purchased on my own. Also the worst car I ever owned. A beautiful electric blue - until the paint flaked off. Seems the base disintegrated under sunlight. At least that one was covered by a factory recall. The motor that raised and lowered the back hatch latch died the first week I had it; I had to manually crank it down. The alarm system shorted in the middle of the night the first week; I had to disconnect it. The short must've fried something else, because then the choke light on the dash was lit all the time. I had to replace the thermostat 4 times. Had to replace a bolt that fell out of the steering linkage. Then I had to push it off the busiest road in the city when it just died; the mechanic said some hose developed a leak. The coupe de grace was when the fuel pump went out in the Walmart parking lot and started leaking gasoline. Don't you love hearing, "Will the owner of a blue Camaro license plate xxxxxx please get your car out of our parking lot!" over the PA system? I was hoping someone would just throw a lit cigarette into the puddle of petrol beneath the car and then I could collect the insurance.
I traded it in (after removing the choke light bulb) on a Mazda that wasn't fancy, but it ran reliably.
My wife, stepson, and me all drive Toyotas now. Never had any problems with them.I'm into Toyotas as they run well and are less likely to break down.
@Lambano Hoping your friend is doing well with the chemo, learning to trust the Lord....Friday morning, 1:03. Appropriate time for the late-night thread.
Odd past couple of days. Took my friend to her chemo. It went smoothly, but afterwards there was a potentially serious complication. If you're going to have that happen, I suppose being right there in the hospital is the best place for it. She'll get the lab results tomorrow. Wait, it's already tomorrow. Later today. I'm getting seriously concerned for her now; prayers appreciated.
Figured out our church's AV project needed a longer power cable, so spent double the cost on Amazon to get overnight delivery. Somehow, we lost the remote for the camera and wasted an hour looking for it. Everything seems to be working now, and we did a test run by Zoom-ing choir practice. We may go live Palm Sunday.
My company opened up the offices today for the first time since the shutdowns. My boss had declared me "essential personnel", so I'd been going into the lab 4-5 times a week anyway, but it was great seeing other people. No masks. Gosh, and I finally figured out a technique for removing my mask so that the elastic band doesn't catch on my hearing aids and fling them God alone knows where.
Apparently, one of my co-workers seems to have forgotten bathroom etiquette and hygiene during the Work-from-Home period. C'mon people, we're grown-ups. Clean up after yourselves. Sheesh! I hope you don't leave a mess like that in your own home!

Kind of gets caught up in the ear, right? when the mask has an elastic...Praying for your friend.
My Dad threw a fit at the restaurant over the mask issue and now I understand why: Hearing aids.
Yeah, the wire gets hooked in the elastic band and then goes BOING! I’ve twice had to find my hearing aid under the seat of my car and once out on the parking lot asphalt.Kind of gets caught up in the ear, right? when the mask has an elastic...
