my mum used to make a delicious pea and ham soup but I can't replicate it.
That sounds really good. I just get it at the store. They have a pretty good one, not as good as homemade though.

It's 10:30pm peak of the storm, the lights are flickering and the wind is roaring. Wow. Just a little storm compared to east of the mountains I suppose.

Warmed up some coffee in case the power goes off.

Hope it passed over without causing any damage.

We;ve got a typical November day, Mildish, wetish, greyish and a bit windy.
We've got cold weather for early November right now. We still have storms coming thru but only 10mph winds now.

I went out for a walk, and it was too chilly so I came back in and made some coffee.

It's a journal-out, candlelit kind of evening. Things aren't perfect but I'm content in the Lord and grateful.

The new trailer we moved into looks a thousand times better now that my in-laws cleaned up and took out their stuff.

I added new bedding and made it look all pretty. I am so happy with it all now.

I'm pleased for you Wynona, making a home pretty is a nice thing to do.

It is late here - 23:16 - and there are still noisy fireworks going off. I've been reading with the Classical music station playing on my radio so I wouldn't jump every time there was a loud bang. I won't be able to go to bed until they have stopped completely.

Thank you, Pearl. What are the fireworks for?

I just woke up, been feeling weird last couple days so my hours are off. But that sounds great Wynona. Glad to hear your off the road.

It is to 'celebrate' the aborted attempt to blow up Parliament with barrels of gunpowder in 1605. Look up Guy Fawkes for more info.

I'm trying to figure out if I have anything else to do on my project. Just kind of thinking things over.

I think we have the Oklahoma City Bombing here, but he actually blew it up, so no fireworks for us on that day, plus we have 911 and again they blew it up, so it's more of a memorial day stuff for that.

It used to be a winter staple in our house, such a lovely aroma when I got in from school on a cold afternoon.
When I was sick Mom used to make us homemade chicken noodle soup, she made the noodles from scratch, it was so good and smelled awesome too. Miss those days.
