Oh the irony..... Timothy used the LXX.

KJVOist like yourself, deny the very existence of the Greek OT.
Like I said, Paul considered the septuagint God's holy word.

Septuagint, abbreviation LXX, the earliest extant Greek translation of the Old Testament from the original Hebrew. The Septuagint was presumably made for the Jewish community in Egypt when Greek was the common language throughout the region.

Mark is lying.

"You" is understood in both a singular and plural based upon context. In fact, the KJVOists would have you believe that the word "you" isn't found in the KJV. It is. THOUSANDS of times.
Thou sayest.

So you actually recognize the validity of the LXX? I'm skeptical......
No, Paul did...

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

So you put full faith in a system but don't even know what it was or how it worked?
Yes.

Rather than debunk it and all the rest like you folks do.

I teach souls that their Bible is God's pure word.

You teach them it does not exist.

I win.

The LXX was much more than a translation. Even though translation was part of the effort. The LXX represents a significant witness to a varying OT canon than what comes to us from any other Hebrew source.

It isn't accurate to compare the LXX to a very late English translation claiming "perfection" in Inspiration.

I'm with you here but I've never seen you say such a thing before. That is why I'm skeptical.

It was a translation from Hebrew to English ordered by a foreign king.

Paul said it was God's holy word.

Face it.

You do know because you are over 500 years old and verified all of history back then.

James owned the ArchBishop. It didn't matter exactly what the translators did. The ArchBishop approved the final copy. There are no surviving witnesses to what the committees did.

The KJV wasn't popular at all when it was released. It was all but forgotten. If James hadn't banned the printing of the Geneva Bible, you'd be a Geneva Bible Onlyist right now instead of a KJV onlyist.

Yes. I said. You could have said ....

You say....and it would have meant the exactly same thing.
It is super easy to read the KJV, even for semi illiterate folks.

The modernists freak out and say it is too hard.

They are just bored with the Bible.

Who told you all this?

The internet?

Or, were you there?

What "king" might that be?

Where anything is accurate and true to the source, it can rightfully be said to be Truth.

"You" isn't difficult at all. However, there are several difficult places in the KJV.

How about Hebrews where Jesus is referenced instead of Joshua. How many people have you heard make that silly mistake?
