The Key Available To All

I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence. 2 Pe 1:3.

The knowledge of the Gospel is the key to life eternal. Peter declared that it is through this means that we can attain unto "divine nature" (see verse 4), and an inheritance in the Glory of the Age to Come. The key to the understanding of the Scriptures is the key to happiness and contentment in this life, as well as to glory and immortality in the future.

The Key unlocks knowledge which in turn provides access to life and godliness. A person must understand the true Gospel if they are to witness His Divine Power.

Love is not punitive; love allows choices without coercion.
At what point does God afflict punishment out of His great love? I ask you again to anwser those three questions on Exo 22:24!

Rather than speaking at His Word, why don't you open it and see what it teaches you?

Paul speaks of vessels of wrath, and vessels of mercy (Rom. 9:22-23) How so?

It's because of His great Love & Mercy He can be turned from His Wrath, but to deny Him this aspect of His Character is to not know Him.

Moses has taught you this!

Moses' interceeds a third time on behalf of the people in Exodus 33:12. The first time in Exo 32:11-14 he obtained an abatement of God's wrath against the people. The second time (in verses 30-35) he obtained forgiveness for them and a modified promise to lead them to Canaan. In Exo 33:12-17 Moses seeks full restoration for the people of Yahweh's favour, and His restored presence with them. Moses' intense and persistent pleading produced results, underlining the Lord's statement that "men ought always to pray and not to faint" (Luke 18:1).

And while this was needful to maintain God's people in the earth and for God to retain His Elect, there are those who will not be on the receiving end of His Mercy.

Psa. 95:11, "I sware in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest." Quoted also in Hebrews 3:11,18 and 4:3

Both OT & NT shake hands on this truth.

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that forsakes the living God Heb 3:12.

The example has been provided, ample warnings issued by both OT & NT passages.

Not just unbelieiving! It's the evil part men should Fear the Living God.

No instead God offered the Lamb of God which takes away sin of the world. John 1:29
I hear you saying that God was then complicit with sinful men by having his Son murdered.
This make no sense.....except for those who deem God to be schizophrenic.....one who is both good and evil.

His motives were clearly vastly different to theirs but in His Wisdom He is able to fashion what is evil for good.

You are not making sense? Are you saying God was evil for offering his Son as a sacrifice for sin?

Not sure how you can make the leap of unfounded logic!

My answers have been given multiple times. So what is the problem? The problem is you only hear what you want to hear....and not what is being communicated.

Was Jesus unclear in his communication? I don't think so. So why wasn't he understood? I would say it was because the paradigm of his hearers didn't allow understanding.....and what's more, it was their insistence of the way they saw as being right which disabled and continues to disable their ears and eyes.

Noah's boat was built to house as many as would hear. All but eight chose not to hear.

The problem is you are shown truth and you decide to go your own way. It's always been the same problem quiet. I've asked you to enter the Word of God and resist every time.

Why is that? I'd really like to get to the root of this issue.

And my anger will burn and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will be widows and your children will be fatherless Ex 22:24.

Why not give it a go? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

1. Read the context in which this law is given.
2. Find an example where God inacted this punishment with those guilty of breaking this law
3. Explain why God acted in this way and what His reasoning for what He did.

Consider this a joint Bible Study where you open the Word that it might give you light.

Give it a go quiet - you wont lose face or ground - don't be afraid

You quoting Ex 22:24 with the highlighting in red, in the context of our conversation f2f, indicates you haven't heard a word I've said.

On the contrary, I've heard, but I see greater value in your trying to understand the Law, the application of that Law and what it teaches you about God. Discussing these matters with you is likened to taking a mystery flight, that always ends up at the same destination.

Why the Law? What context?
How did God enforce the Law and with what motive?
And let me add another question for you to consider...Can His motive and application of this Law be found in the New Testament?

Give the first question a go...don't be shy!

I think you will find this mystery flight rather interesting ;)

Romans 3 would be up there as being one of the most important chapters in the Bible and certainly the book of Romans is the finest work concerning the true Gospel. How do fit your understand of God into verse 25?

God publicly displayed Jesus at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. Ro 3:25.

Ex 22:24 is still not answered either...

@quietthinker

Why would God publicly display His Son is such a manner as crucifixion?

F2F
Even when we (humans) killed God's revelation of himself (Jesus) he did not retaliate with violence of any sort. In such a revelation, he shows the Universe his character....a character which has been maligned for millennia. This deception by Satan was of such a sophisticated nature a goodly portion of the angels were deceived by it.

If Satan can pull the wool over the eyes of unfallen beings then fallen man is a sitting duck. How does God reveal his heart? .....by his condescension in taking human form and allowing us to push him to the limit....even death.

Again, just in case you missed it the first time.

Why did God display His Son in such a public manner?

Can you allow the Word to speak and teach you or will you pontificate upon it?

It's obvious f2f, you are not hearing what is being communicated.....even in answer to your question!

What does Romans 3:25 mean?

Your answer revealed nothing about the mercy seat and why it was necessary for the flesh to be crucified!

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal 5:24

Why does the Flesh need crucifying quiet?
Why such a public display to all the world?

While this is true Romans 3:25 is speaking to what God did in Christ and how that affects you.
This deception by Satan was of such a sophisticated nature a goodly portion of the angels were deceived by it.
There is no Satan as you believe it to be, and certainly has nothing to do with the Gospel in Romans!

God didn't take on Sins Flesh quiet - impossible for a Holy Pure God to dwell in what is unclean!

Now take us back to Romans 3:25 and think about why God so publicly displayed His Son in all that humility and cursed state.

hmmmm, and you have the keys f2f? Then pray, tell us of the nature of the Power of God?
For it is the POWER of GOD unto salvation . the real gospel , BELIEVE IN JESUS THE CHRIST .
but in these latter days and specially in the last hours
many have a form of godliness but deny the GOSPEL , the POWER OF GOD as they heed interfaiths lie .
We better all watch out and be on gaurd . BE SURE to never once preach another gospel
to never once give out false hope . TIME we preach JESUS THE CHRIST .

My answer does, it's just that you don't understand it......and why don't you understand it? ...because your paradigm is of such a nature it will not allow you to see.

How is it that the religious folk in Jesus day didn't understand his stuff?.....in fact, they found it threatening enough to silence him. Could it be you are in the same boat of not understanding?

No, I understood what's at the base of your understanding which is why I can say you are not looking at Romans 3:25 incorrectly.
and why don't you understand it? ...because your paradigm is of such a nature it will not allow you to see.
Because you have not explained how God made Jesus a mercy seat...could it be that you don't know and I am asking that of you?

How did God make Christ a mercy seat?
Why was this public death necessary?
What was God making a show of?

Read Romans 8:1-3

“A candle light is a protest at midnight. It is a non-conformist. It says to the darkness, ‘I beg to differ.’

Does it say the same thing to the Sun?
