The JW- Watchtower (WTBS) claims it is God's theocratic Organization on earth. They claim that they were given this 'spiritual authority" between 1914 and 1919 when Jesus examined the churches, and found them to be the only ones delivering spiritual food at the proper time, thus to them, a fulfillment of a parable , Matt 24:45-47.

Bold claims such as that require a careful look. I will be examining the crucial period of 1914-1919. All of the WTBS claims stand or fall depending on the events of that time period.
If what they claim actually happened, then they truly are God's theocratic organization on earth. If not, then they are just another false religion who is deceiving their own followers, as well as the people they encounter.

* I will be using the WTBS own quotes.----- in blue.
"their 'master' apointed a collective 'faithful steward' class, the body of annointed Christians on earth since Pentecost 33 CE. Since the 'master' found the remaining ones of this body faithfully and discreetly giving out 'food supplies' when he arrived for inspection in 1919, he appointed them 'over all his belongings'." -- Watchtower pg 19-20 Sep 15 1983

So- the 144,000 Faithful Discreet Slave class began in 33CE and a remnant exists even until now. Founder, Charles Taze Russell agrees according to the WTBS.-
=====================================================================================================
"Charles taze Russell, this studious Christian took note of Jesus' illustration of the 'faithful and wise servant'. (Matthew 24:45 AV), and published his understanding of it in the watchtower issue of November 1881, page 5. In the fourth and fifth-last paragraphs of the article 'In the Vineyard,' he said: 'We believe every member of the body of christ is engaged in the blessed work, either directly or indirectly, of giving meat in due season to the household of faith. Who then is that faithful and wise servant whom his lord has made ruler over his household to give them meat in due season? Is it not that little flock of consecrated servants, and is it not the whole body individually and collectively'.
From this it is clearly seen that the editor and publisher of Zion's Watchtower disavowed and claim to be individually, in his person, that 'faithful and wise servant'. He never did claim to be such. -
-God's Kingdom of a thousand Years has Approached pg 24, 1973

The WTBS provided proof that founder, Russell, believed this FDS 'class' was not an individual, certainly not himself, as early as 1881. As far as i know, that is still the current teaching.
=====================================================================================================
Why does the WTBS stress the fact that the 'faithful' servant' has always been a 'class' or a "collective body" as Russell put it, and not an individual?
Because if it was one man then they would be guilty of sectarianism or 'creature worship- The very thing they say that Christendom stands guilty of.

"Some define sect to mean a group that has broken away from an established religion. Others apply the term to a group that follows a particular human leader or teacher." -- Reasoning from the Scriptures pg 202, 1985

"The scriptures show that no man is at the head of the organization that Jehovah is using to accomplish the work of Kingdom-preaching and disciple-making. and those assocaited with that organization are not to look at any man as their leader."--Organization for Kingdom- Preaching, Disciple-Making pg 8, 1972

"WE ABHOR Christendom's failure to heed Jesus' message to the seven congregations at Revelation chapters 2 and 3 in such manners as sectarianism"-- Watchtower pg 18. 4/15/89

"in his farewell to the Ephesian overseers Paul warned that sects would be formed by apostate teachers who would try to draw away disciples after themselves" --Watchtower pg 52, 1/15/1958

"Since those who cause "divisions" and "sects" will not inherit God's kingdom, they will not be tolerated within the true Christain congregation" --W
atchtower pg18, 9/15/1983

As you can see it's crucial to the WTBS that the fact be established that the FDS has always been a "class" and not an individual. And they have documented it well. This is only a smattering. ---------continued next page-

So far we've seen that the FDS (Faithful & Discreet Slave) is a "class" since 33 CE, not an individual. And that sectarianism is "creature worship", exalting an individual that is assocaited with Christiandom and cults.
Remember, that Charles Taze Russell claimed that the FDS was a "class" in 1881. Well, something changed in 1887.

"during the Lord's presence and at the time of the gathering of the elect' our Lord, the great Servant of his people, will make the choice of one channel dispensing the meat in due season, though other channels or "fellow servants" will be used in bringing the food to the household"-- The Battle of Armageddon pg 613, 1897

The special messenger of the last Age of the church was Charles Taze Russell, born February 16, 1852. He has privately admitted his belief that he was chosen for his great work from before his birth.-- The Finished Mystery pg 53, 1917

"We believe that all who are now rejoicing in present truth will concede that Brother Russell faithfully filled the office of special servant of the Lord: and that he was made ruler over all of the Lord's goods. Discussing this question of "that servant" himself in the WATCHTOWER (April 15, 2004), Brother Russell said: 'Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom the Lord shall set over his household to give them their portion of food in due season? That at the time of the parable's fulfillment the Lord would appoint a servant in the household to bring these matters to the attention of all the servants, and that certain responsibilities would rest upon such a one respecting the dispatch oif his duties. There would be no violation of principle, however, in the channel or instrument through which he would send appropriate messages, spiritual nourishment appropriate at that time, because at various times in the past the Lord has used individuals in that manner.'" --Watchtower 3/01/1923

It seems that the Watchtower had become what they accuse Christians of being- a sect.
Know that there were many who remained with Russell's teachings after his death in 1916 . The Watchtower took on a new president, Rutherford ( he deserves his own horrid thread)--The Watchtower has always referred to the Russell loyalists as "the evil servant class".
The Watchtower named themselves "the John class".

Now we take a look at what the WTBS taught about the ever so important departure of the Russellites (evil servants) departure in 1917-
The evil class VS the John class--

" the insistence that Russell had been that servant led many to regard Russell in what amounted actually to creature worship. They believed that all the truth God had seen fit to reveal to his people had been revealed to Russell, and now nothing more could be brought forth because "that servant" was dead.'-- Jehovahs Witnesses in the Divine Purpose p69, 1959

"This tendency toward the formation of a sect among his faithful followers was displeasing to the one who 'holds the seven stars in his right hand'. Under his guidance this tendency towrd toward the founding of a religious sect like the sects of Christiandom out of which they had come was fought against by those who hate un-christian sectarianism. Those who chose to follow a dead man left the ranks. those who believed that the light of the bible truth did not stop advancing with the death of the first president of the WTBS held to God's Visible Organization and continued searching the holy scriptures in the advancing light.
---Then is the Finished Mystery of God pg 112, 1969

"it is well known that from time to time immemorial all religious organizations have had some particular man who appears as leader and to whom great honor has been given. After his death the memory of that man is revered, and often worshiped. This is another subtle means of Satan to turn the people away from God and cause mankind to forsake the Creator by worshiping the creature."
-- The Golden Age pg 347 2/18/1931

"The evil servant class rejects present truth. These claim to be feeding upon food which God provided prior to 1917, and they claim that no food has been furnished since that date. While God did give food prior to 1917, the evil servant class gives honor therefore to a creature rather than to the Creator, but in truth, their honor to a creature is another subterfuge put forward by Satan to insure their destruction, and under such they fall.-- Watchtower pg 24 01/15/1931

"From 1914 to 1919 a most desperate attck was made by wordly governments and by the evil servant class, headed by the self styled leaders who formed corporations and associations, each such group claiming to be the "little flock" of Christ.
In 1918 when Jesus Christ came to the temple for judgment, he found such ones following a man who was dead.
-----Watchtower pg 348-9, 11/15/1943

"The John class, however, emerged from the tumultuous days of the first world war with a love of Jehovah and for the truth that impelled them to serve with flaming zeal. They resisted those who tried to introduce sectarianism through practically idolizing the first president of the Watchtower society, CharlesTaze Russell, following his death in 1916"-- Revelation, It's Grand Climax at Hand pg 35-36, 1988

"Since Russell had been so prominent in the work from it's beginning, it was easy for many in the organization at the time to look at him as in individual, rather than a representative of the entire organization. Rutherford recognized this fact and realized that the president of the society was merely an instrument to be used to maintain the entire organization as a servant of God"
--Jehovahs Witnesses in the Divine Purpose pg 68, 1959

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So- the current teaching now is we have that evil servant class who is giving too much honor to Russell, therefore commiting, creature worship or sectarianism, "which is another subterfuge put forward by satan to insure their destruction, and under such they will fall." Not to mention, the fact that all of this is displeasing to the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand. (Jesus)
The John class and Rutherford, however, proved victorious by resisting Satan and that evil servant class, and continued in what is known as the WTBS.

That was the crucial time period (1914-1918) in WTBS. Why crucial? Because this is when they claim they were examined by Jesus and found to be the ONLY church giving spiritual food at the proper time. thus, becoming the Faithful & Discreet Slave (FDS) and being given charge over all of the Lord's goods.

Next, we look at their publications from THAT time period to see if those teaching were TRUE.

---------------
"Some were exalting creatures, indulging in a personality cult that focused on Charles Taze Russell, the first president of the WTBS. Then in 1917, shortly after the death of Russell, a significant change began to take place. In that year the Watchtower Society published a commentary on Revelation under the title, The Finished Mystery"-- Watchtower pg 4, 05/01/1989

Quote from Rutherford (2nd president) in 1918-
"By God's grace I'll crush all of this business of creature worship if I have to get kicked out for doing it"-- Faith on the March p 106 1957

So,we have a 1989 Watchtower that says there was a personality cult surrounding Russell but that a "significant' change took place soon after his death in 1917. Yet, in 1918 we still have Rutherford complaining about said, creature worship. It is stated on the same document that Rutherford was not released until 1919. Therefore, no change took place in soon after Russell's death in 1916. Lie
In that 1989 Watchtower it said not only a significant change had taken place in 1917 it also mentioned a book, The Finished Mystery, was published that year. On it's publishers page this book was called the "Posthumous Work of Pastor Russell". Such a book tended to establish a religious sect around a man.-- God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years has Approached pg 347 1973

"The earthly creature made prominent therein above all others is the messenger of the Laodicean chursch= that wise and faithful servant of the Lord--Charles Taze Russell" -- The Finished Mystery pg 5 1917

So much for change.

I will say though that it is only 1918 and we still have the "JOHN CLASS" whom the WTBS says resisted Satan and that "evil servant" class ans continued in what is known as the WTBS.

"God has a channel for communicating Revelation. In his great prophecy concerning the conclusion of the system of things, Jesus identified the earthly part of his channel as the "faithful and discreet slave". He uses the John class in unlocking the meaning of the prophecy.-- Rev. it's grand Climax at hand p 16 1989

"
Today, those remaining of this annointed remnant are known worldwide as Jehovah's Witnesses. They were also his witnesses back there in 1918. They are the ones designated in Revelation 11:3 as my two witnesses. The anointed remnant were publishing and circulating that commentary on the entire book of Revelation, The Finished Mystery."
-- Then is the Finished Mystery of God pg 264, 1969

SO THE JOHN CLASS who is the FDS and are known as Jehovahs Witnesses who unlock the meaning of prophecy of reveltion are the same anointed remnant today as back in 1918 who was publishing and circulating the Finished Mystery- a commentary that PROMOTED sectarianism and creature worship.

I think it's only fair that we need to look past 1914-1919 to see if changes developed that we have missed. Certainly, if the honoring of Russell had been done away with like the society claims, then we would not see it it Watchtower literature past this time, correct?

The following QUOTES are from 1920-1922

"Do we believe that the Lord chose an earthly representative to serve the household of faith one wise and faithful servant whom he made ruler over the household, and that person chosen was Charles Taze Russell? WE assume that everyone in present truth, realizing that his knowledge of present truth came from the Lord through the ministration of his servant, will answer the foregoing questions in the affirmative. No one in present truth for a moment doubts that Brother Russell filled the office of the faithful and wise servant whom his Lord has made ruler over his household, to give meat in due season ( Matthew 24:45)--- WT p 135, 5/01/1921

"Satan would have such cast away much that the Lord has provided for his people and has brought forth upon his table through his wise and faithful servant. He would cause them to deny, of course, that brother Russell filled the office of that wise and faithful steward. BUT no true child of God would thus be deceived. ---WT, pg 374 12/01/1922

"There is no one in present truth today who can honestly say that he received knowledge of the divine plan from any source other than the ministry of Brother Russell, either directly or indirectly. The evidence is overwhelming concerning the Lord's second presence, the time of the harvest, and that office of that servant has been filled by Brother Russell. Brother Russell was the Lord's servant. Then to repudiate him and his work is equivalent to repudiation of the Lord."

---WT pg 132 5/01/1922

If Jesus examined the WTBS between 1914-1919, what he would have found was an organization controlled by Satan encouraging it's followers to give unwarranted honor to a dead man. Clearly, He would not have given them a verdict of "well done" and would not have given them "spiritual authority."

To this day the WTBS still lies about it's history to all of it's followers by saying that the FDS has always been a "class", the remnant of their 144k. It's nothing but a smoke screen to hide the truth. They are looud to speak out against sectarianism so much that it would be utterly devastating if their followers found out that is exactly what they were when Jesus supposedly returned. It would expose the Watchtower and the Jehovahs Witnesses as just one more in a long line of false religions.

"Can you Be True to God and Hide facts?

What results when a lie is let go unchallenged? God's servants in every period of history have had to face up to these issues present. They have had to expose falsehood and wrongdoing and warn people of dangers and deceptions".--Watchtower pg 35 01/15/1974

"Knowing These things what Will You Do?
It is obvious that the true God who is Himself ,the God of Truth, and who hates lies, will not look with favor on persons who cling to an organization that teaches falsehood. (Psalm 31:5; Prov 6:16-19, Rev. 21:8) And, really would you want to even be associated with a religion that had not been honest with you?"
Is this Life All There is? pg 46, 1974

All works are cited and are WTBS publications.

For Jws- i hope you have enough interest to read this. It's only WTBS quotes. Why fear that?
Y'all need to wake up. They are dishonest in so many ways.
