Sister, are you looking for false prophets specifically?
Absolutely not. I just see people lifting up these prophets/prophetesses and haven't heard any that aligned with scripture. For instance, one person claims that everyone will receive the MOB and God will forgive them based on these verses:

Revelation 13:16-17
[16]And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
[17]And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

And yet we know by other scriptures that there will be those who do not take the MOB and will be killed for their testimony in Christ. And then, when a prophecy doesn't come to pass, this person says that Jesus told them His prophetic time clocks were off. So ... it wasn't human error, but Jesus made a mistake ....as if He doesn't know the end from the beginning?? Okay....lol

That's just a couple of examples. But when I hear things that don't line up with truth, I know not to listen to them.

I don't doubt it Brother. When the Rapture happens, the church age is done. It will be over and there are no more churches left. Satan will know that the rapture happened and move quickly.

There wont be no Christian chat forums anymore. You wont be able buy bibles pretty quick.
I've been putting together a box (well it turned into boxes lol) for family (or whoever) copies of teaching videos on youtube and stuff I got a 2TB flash drive for videos. I have 6 or 700 videos already and have only used a teeny amount of storage. There's 1.7 TB left still, it'sa work in progress. I also bought a case of Bibles (40 of them) and I save all of my "Our Daily Bread" pamplets and anything spiritual is gold to go in the box. I should write a letter too, hmm.

Sort of a Rapture Emergency box. To make sure they have enough spiritual materials including bibles to figure out what just happened? I think it's a good idea. It's nice to think the family will be raptured, but you never know so better of just in case. And if not them, then the Lord can let whoever He wants to find it. :)
An emergency box is a good idea. but will family look, or just remember you were a Christian, and still blinded by the world. Most might go to a Catholic type church asking for guidance except there won't be any. Remember, don't depend on electricity when the rapture happens, there will be chaos. The Holy Spirit told me that there will be no place on earth a bomb will not hit.

Oh so you didnt watch the video. That's ok I guess. But if you want to talk about false prophets would it be ok to ask you open a thread about false prophets so you can discuss them there? I didn't really want to make this a false prophet thread.

You said you have not received confirmation that this man, Jonathan is a Prophet. Ok. Me either. But have you received confirmation that he is a false prophet?!
If yes, why? And if no...double why? Just to tear up my thread by taking it off topic?

I didn't say I didn't watch the video. I watched and then I heard things that were off from the truth, so I didn't listen further ...knowing his "hearing" is based in untruth. I will not argue on this. I believe in prophecy, but I know when what I hear is not prophecy.

Have a nice day.

If you wouldn't watch it but you want to talk about false prophets it makes me feel like some nutty girl is doing drive by shootings of my thread!

That shame is not mine. It doesn't come from God. You're acting like your feelings got hurt because I don't ascribe to your opinions on this man. Ego much??

Many desire to be a prophet today and yet, most would not last 10 minutes from the pain and suffering involved in the tearing down of the vessel so that The Lord could build it back up, so that The Lord could use it for His Glory. Example: And if that prophet was a modest man, would he not be called to walk naked for three years to show a nation what will happen if they do not repent.

I like this guy, he is no nonsense and has a good message.

Not so much... he's just enriching himself publishing religious entertainment.

When was the last time his so called prophecies were fulfilled?

Good luck finding any that have been

I had a dream on December 19, 2022. The Holy Spirit told me about of the death of the church.

Wow so the "holy spirit" told you the powers of darkness prevailed against the Body of Christ even though Jesus said the powers of darkness shall not prevail? clueless-scratching.gif

I was thinking about this thread and the video of Jonathan Cahn and I was trying not to give spoilers to the video at first but with all you people calling him out on which of his prophecies have come true and all your questioning and (crap)...I'll give you some spoilers to his video since you wise ones are able to pass judgment without even seeing the video, are too too stupid to listen to the message and judge that based on the words and not on his title of prophet.

He doesn't really give any prophecies of his own in the video (Lol). What he does do is take current events and tie them to scripture and prophecies in the bible.

Even you Doubting Thomas's know that...our God is the God that tells the end from the beginning?...that OT scriptures are types and shadows of things to come?...???? Right?

And Jonathan Cahn decodes what the Bible Prophesied to happen and uses dates and times and scriptures to do it.

I know that the bible says that there are many false prophets in the world. So I believe that you girls and guys are knee jerking at the mans title of prophet and nothing more. You are certainly not debunking his message even one whit! So scared of being deceived that you doubt your own discernment so can not judge a mans words anyway. So exactly where is your relationship with the Lord come in? Walking in the Spirit? Ha! No way if you wont even watch the video. So riddle me this, has the Lord given you a spirit of fear?

So why do you react in fear? I've never even heard Jonathan Cahn call himself a prophet. They just call him that. Other people. If you want me to prove which of his prophecies have come true and you wont even watch a video of the man's, then you are asking for something absurd! You want me to put into print all this man has said so you can do drive bys and make snide comments about it without even engaging your brain. Forget that, that's why I posted his video! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

You judge the man on the fruit of his words. But your close relationship with the Lord and lack of discernment wont even let you watch it, lol! Ookaaay. Must be some good relationship? And I accept all of yours admissions to a total lack of discernment.

Hello

My observation of the video is that it is based upon a flawed translation of the scriptures concerning God's gathering of the Israelites to Himself where they are living scattered throughout the whole earth.

Janathan is commendable for calling American to repentance but to repent we have to know what we are repenting of. Jeremiah 50-51 speaks of these present times and why America is being filled with people who are consuming the goodness out of the land and the collective sin that they have committed with their silent assent/agreement.

Yes 9/11 is referred to in the sixth bowl judgement which will end with the judgement of the kings of the earth at Armageddon.

What we are presently seeing with respect to Israel and the Israelites is the actions of the Little Horn still trampling God's sanctuary and His earthly hosts which will end around the year 2044/2045 at the end of this present generation/age when the seventh age, the age of the great harvest, will begin.

If we are to comment on what Joathan told us in the video, we have to know the ins and the outs of the scriptures, and I do not believe that many of the members of this board would qualify in that area. I know that I do not qualify or know all of the ins and the outs of the scriptures to be critical of Janathan and what he presented in his video.

What came across to me is that all Christians need to know what their primary sin is against God and whether or not the signs of the visible sins we are committing, because we have committed the primary sin, prompt us to actually review whether or not we have committed the primary sin before God.

Jeremiah 50 tells us that we have and that we need to repent of.

Shalom

John Cahn is a con man.

The gift of prophet (Ephesians 4:11) seems to have been a temporary gift given by Christ for the laying of the foundation of the church. Prophets were foundational to the church (Ephesians 2:20). The prophet proclaimed a message from the Lord to the early believers. Sometimes a prophet’s message was revelatory (new revelation and truth from God) and sometimes a prophet’s message was predictive (see Acts 11:28 and 21:10). The early Christians did not have the complete Bible. Some early Christians did not have access to any of the books of the New Testament. The New Testament prophets “filled the gap” by proclaiming God’s message to the people who would not have access to it otherwise. The last book of the New Testament (Revelation) was not completed until late in the first century. So, the Lord sent prophets to proclaim God’s Word to His people.

Are there true prophets today? If the purpose of a prophet was to reveal truth from God, why would we need prophets if we have the completed revelation from God in the Bible? If prophets were the “foundation” of the early church, are we still building the “foundation” today? Can God give someone a message to deliver to someone else? Absolutely! Does God reveal truth to someone in a supernatural way and enable that person to deliver that message to others? Absolutely! But is this the biblical gift of prophecy? No.

Whatever the case, whenever a person claims to be speaking for God (the essence of prophecy) the key is to compare what is said with what the Bible says. If God were to speak through a person today, it would be in 100% complete agreement with what God has already said in the Bible. God does not contradict Himself. 1 John 4:1 instructs us, “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 declares, “Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good.” So, whether it is a “word from the Lord” or a supposed prophecy, our response should be the same. Compare what is said to what the Word of God says. If it contradicts the Bible, throw it out. If it agrees with the Bible, pray for wisdom and discernment as to how to apply the message (2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:5).
